The Sunday supper is just wonderful. We decided to sit at the bar and the bartender was awesome. They do have some really great original cocktails. Great food and great value!
One of our favorite places... We love the Chefs specials and their creativity! The short ribs were outstanding and the duck breast was tender with delicious blood orange sauce ... unfortunately, this visit ... we were in a back room with an incredibly loud & boisterous table! We finally were moved but our dinner was yummy!
Hawks never disappoints! The tasting menu is always unique and delicious.
We love Hawks, have been many times and are never disappointed.
We had a wonderful Anniversary dinner. The food was out of this world and our server was very outstanding.
We never have a bad meal here. It’s always amazing and it is our go-to location for all birthdays and apraxia occasions. The service is always excellent.
Valentine’s Day dinner, the food was excellent. My wife is celiac and allergic to fish. They prepared a complete dinner for her, separate from the special dinner menu. The service was excellent. We were in a side room and the noise level was very quite. Overall very good dinning experience.
Valentines day is a special day for us as we were on our Homey Moon 22 years ago in Cancun and had the best meal at the Hyatt Blue Lagoon restaurant that I have ever had and don't ever expect to match, therefore our expectations are rather high. Hawks was very busy and service a little slow but we would certainly go back.
We enjoyed our meal very much. The wait staff was very professional and friendly.
Hawk’s food is always very, very good. We brought our own wine so I can’t comment on the wine list.
We had short ribs and duck, both were great.
Relaxed but upscale atmosphere. Great service as usual. The Sunday Supper menu was fabulous. The Hanger steak was cooked to perfection and the Shiitake mushrooms were delicious. The olive cake with blood oranges was a great ending to the meal. Hawks is a consistent star in the Placer dining scene.
My husband and I wanted to have nice dinner together and we found Hawks. It was really a special experience. On Sundays they have a fixed 4 course meal, and I was a little concerned because I do not eat meat and my hubby does. But they were very accomodating and made me the most fantastic wild mushroom pasta. Our meal had an optional wine pairing and it was fantastic! I absolutely loved the vietti d'asti moscato that came with the olive oil cake for dessert. Each handmade touch that came with with all the courses were delicious and fun! We will definitely be back!
Just beginning our move to Granite Bay from San Jose, we were anxious to dine at Hawks after hearing my Aunt Linda rave about it.
The food and service were excellent . The Sunday supper was perfect for our early Valentine’s Day celebration. We will be back in 1 to 2 weeks on our next visit to Granite Bay. Can’t wait !
Like a friend of ours once said, it's a restaurant for grown ups.
They have this great brunch 2nd Sunday of every month. Fixed menu makes it easy and affordable. Marc is a great server and always informative about the menu.
We had nice anniv. Celebration dinner with wine paring. Food and service excellent
One of the better tasting menus that we've had in a long time. Everything was great as usual. Definitely in the Top 5 of best restaurants in the Sacramento area.
Was an amazing dining experience for my wife and I’s 21st anniversary dinner. Will definitely be coming back.
Excellent service and food, one of the best meals I have had lately. Highly recommended.
I have lived in Sacramento most of my life and Hawks is hands down my favorite restaurant. I am also a classically trained chef and can say that Hawks has never let me down. I had also been talking about Hawks with my girlfriend for quite a while (we've dined at Atelier Crenn, Gary Danko's and through out Napa) and she was very impressed! Thank you for the great food and awesome service, please keep up the great work!
Very good, great quality food, service also very good
Great dinner. In fact, it’s our favorite restaurant in the area
Although the food was good - mushroom soup totally outstanding, our waitress put a damper
on the evening. Even though she was pleasant enough when we did see her, those times were
rare. Had to ask a busboy to ask her to refill one person's wine. She gave us dessert menu and
totally disappeared. Even though the crowd had definitely thinned out, we saw her talking
and laughing at other tables. Ten minutes later we decided to just skip dessert - even though
it was a birthday - which we told her when she finally showed up again. No asking if anybody
wanted coffee or anything. We probably won't be back.
Hamburger was delicious but the hanger steak was mediocre and tough.
We were celebrating a birthday we had a wonderful experience great food please don’t get rid of mushroom soup
We’ve relished Fried Chicken Sunday Suppers, and it had been a while since we’d gone. This was not as good as it has been in the past. Maybe Michael is not watching over the kitchen anymore? The chicken was drier. The sides were not a good compliment. The mushroom soup was delightful. The gem lettuce salad was bland. Sorry to say it will be a while before we return.
We are fortunate to have a restaurant of Hawks quality in this area. The service and the food are always impeccable.. I recommend it to anyone for any occasion with a terrific meal and ambiance for all ages.
Sunday Supper was delicious. We had heard how good it was and were not disappointed. Every course was delightful from the baby gam lettuce salad to the Mushroom soup to the best ever fried chicken and the fabulous dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.
Hawks rarely disappoints. However, out of 5 entrees, only the Hawks burger was done perfectly this time. The pork chops were over cooked and the greens underneath were extremely salty and ruined the meal.
Great food and mice servers. Very attentive
