We love Hawks for special occasions and this was no exception. It was one of the best meals ever with a perfect wine pairing; I can't wait to return.
Our service was impeccable - we dined on a Sunday night and one person in our party made a special request for a vegetarian option and the chef was so accommodating! the wait staff are always above and beyond - such a fun experience - we will definitely go back again!
Always consistent and accommodating was my birthday really wanted filet mingnon and was not on menu but of course they took care of us that’s special thank you
Wow - what a great meal! And the service was fantastic.
It’s hard to compare Hawk’s restaurant to other places we have dined, the Hawk’s experience is so over the top fantastic every course to die for. Starting with a shot of the best cauliflower soup, then on to a warmed fingerling potato salad with chorizo and some kind of greens on top, that just totally worked on all levels, then on to a scallop this was a favorite of mine, yummy, main course was a wood grilled steak with veggies the steak was cooked just the way I asked perfection on a plate! And lastly the desert won’t lie to you had my doubts about a “Brown sugar and beet cake” but no surprise here it worked 100% and the pistachio gelato complimented it perfectly!! This is our favorite restaurant we will be back as often as we can be, I suggest you check it out. Sunday supper is a preset menu and absolutely worth checking out, and of course the regular menu Tuesday- Saturday won’t let you down either❤️ enjoy!!
Delicious, had the tasting menu, expensive, delicious!!
Our foursome has been coming to Hawks for our annual holiday luncheon for several years. We love the ambiance, the specialness of dining here, getting here early to get "our" table and the wonderful food. However, this year we were somewhat disappointed. The menu is very limited, but we are quite use to this. While three of us ordered my favorite, the Chicken salad, which once again was wonderful, one of our group ordered the risotto, which she said was too rich, so much butter and cream (?) and quite overpriced she thought Three of us finished our lunch and left empty plates, but our friend took three bites and left the rest. Later two of the four ordered coffee. Both cups of coffee came out lukewarm. Our server was so great and kind, she immediately took them away and brought out two cups of hot coffee. Having lived in Granite Bay before Quarry Ponds was even built, I have been to Hawks numerous times and always found it exceptional. I trust this was a fluke and that next time I come, it will once again be exceptional!!!
This was a nice treat for my wife and I. I brought her here for her special birthday. The food was delicious. I had Ribeye steak and the wife had the short ribs. My only comment would be the price. Yes the food was delicious but overpriced. $60 for maybe 8-10 ounces of steak. I’m not one to complain about cost usually but this was definitely on the high side. Yes I will be back again but because of the price it will be for a special occasion only. I HIGHLY recommend Hawks if your looking for a nice evening out.
Fantastic food and service - we go on special occasions
Continues to be the best in the Greater Sacramento Area!
Although we had to wait for a table, even with reservations, we were served complimentary glasses of sparkling wine while we waited. The food, as usual, was superb. The service provided by Chris was outstanding. The restaurant is a perfectly beautiful place for any occasion. Bravo!
Fine dinning, a special night, great food are all at Hawks. We have had better service at Hawks then our last visit. Could be due to Christmas season. The eggnog was a special extra that help make the night special for our dinner.
Overall it was well worth the experience. We made reservations for 7:45 and were seated at 9:19 which I don’t find acceptable. The manager offered us a free drink which we gratefully appreciated but we had to drink it standing in the corner by the bathrooms due to lack of seating. Our waitress seemed rushed as we had questions as to what she recommends. The food, ambience and egg nog were simply divine! I would go again, book an earlier reservation and plan to spend time in the bar.
We like to know the wait staff by name — had to ask which seemed an inconvenience to the waiter. Three of four dishes were so over salted they could not be finished.
Since Hawk's opened a number of years ago I've dined probably twenty times at this establishment. While its food and service levels remain high, certain things have changed. For the second consecutive time, a reservation was made a month in advance for a table in a specific dining area that could not be accommodated. Rather than taking a table in the center of a very noisy restaurant, we opted for a table in the side room. Much quieter but the caveat was a certain disconnect from the 'experience'. The food was up to the usual standards of quality and the service was top notch. But through the years the prices have gone up of course combined with reduced portions across the board. We dined with others who have frequented this establishment and there was a consensus at our table. Rather than 3-4 times yearly visits we're down to once a year. Wish it were different but sometimes restaurants become victims of what some may call their own 'success'. Not sure if this is an apt definition of the term as I'd want to eagerly anticipate my next visit, but I'll probably wait another year for that to occur.
Wonderful experience! We went for a holiday celebration and the vanilla egg nog shot was an added bonus. I don't like egg nog, but Hawk's was absolutely delicious just like all their menu items. We ordered chicken, duck and braised beef. All spectacular! For dessert, we ordered the Hawk's candy bar and souffle. It all melted in our mouths!
This was our first visit to Hawks and we loved it. From the sample of eggnog and the special mushroom soup that Garen (sp?) brought us, to the gelato at the end, everything was perfect. The short ribs were the best ever. We were shocked when another table anonymously paid for our dinner, topping an already wonderful evening. Thank you! We will be back.
Fabulous wine list and the food was amazing. Don't forget the get the assorted cookies after your meal.
Wonderful service and food as always!
WE love going to Hawks, especially the Sunday dinners.
The four of us each had a different meal and the food was excellent. The cocktails were perfect and the service was wonderful. Don't miss a chance to eat at Hawks!
Amazing tasting menu!
Wonderful menu , attentive service, fine dining always worth the experience.
A little too pricy for what we ordered and that was the paired tasting dinner.
Hawks is in a class of its own. The only restaurants coming close can only be found in Sacramento. If you live from antelope to auburn this is your must go restaurant. We had our anniversary dinner here and couldn’t be more impressed.
Went for a celebration dinner for my husband. Decided to go on Sunday for “Sunday Supper” and it was delicious! Every course was delicious. The NY strip was tender and perfectly cooked, and the butternut squash Gnocchi was incredible. Service was great, would recommend this place to friends!
We drive from Elk Grove out to Granite Bay just for this restaurant. It never disappoints, has an amazing team and the environment is unlike anything else in Sacramento. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!!
Drinks were good, salad was tasty. Main course awful- ordered the ‘ham’ chop. Very large piece of dried out, over salted, over cooked something- could not tell if it was ham or pork chop. Also, not sure what is was served on top of- browned flour?? It didn’t seem to be potatoe or rice.
Service- at first server was over attentive (conversation interrupted many times), restaurant got super busy and then server was not around as much (a good thing).
I have been to and taken many friends to Hawks and have always been amazed with the service and food.
Took my folks for Hilton's 90th birthday and was unexpectedly disappointed. Our reservation was for 200pm . It was a stormy day and with difficulty was able to get them there. . . . . not at all busy but we had to wait over an hour for our orders and it did not have the normal Hawks presentation.
I must say, I would suggest it was a bad day but my folks were less than impressed.
Disappointed this time at Hawks. Ordered a grilled chicken salad from lunch menu but I guess you could call what came a deconstructed salad or a do-it-yourself salad. There was a grilled chicken breast & wing? And a side salad of a small iceberg cap with bleu cheese, onions and half a hard boiled egg on it. Definetly would not fit the description of a salad which should have ingredients mixed together. Chicken was good, salad a bit dry. Disappointed in my choice.
My wife and I were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary. Dining at Hawks couldn't of been more enjoyable. The food was beautiful, delicious, and plenty of ! The chefs at Hawks are truly artists !
All around just a fabulous dining experience! Wow Wow Wow !
This was the first time I have had an opportunity to eat at Hawks. So many of my friends have raved about the restaurant. The room was fairly full for a Tuesday which surprised me. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary to our server who quickly offered her sincere reply to us. Great food, impeccable service and a great night. We hope to be back!
Our second time here. It did not disappoint! What we like best is the menu, always fresh. The wait staff is very attentive and there when you need them. Not overly interrupting your meal and conversations. Great experience!
Love this restaurant! Their tasting menu is superb.
Had the five-course tasting menu, paired with wine. Each course was terrific with no weaknesses. Wine pairing were spot-on. Service was exemplary. Wow!
12th Anniversary Dinner - Food was delicious. We’ve been coming to Hawk’s for our special occasions for many years.
The seasonal tasting menu is always a treat!!!
Wonderful service and amazing food as always.
Wonderful experience. I look forward to my next visit to Hawks
