Located in Kensington Market, the cozy dining space features an earthy, palette of dark wood and moss. A picturesque, romantic back patio is naturally decorated. A front patio lets you enjoy the lively sights and sounds of the market.

Our small plates menu is available for dinner service only.

All reservations have a 15 minute grace period. Please call or message us if you are arriving later than 15 minutes. Your table will be reserved for 1 hour 45 minutes for parties of 1-3; 2 hours for parties of 4-6; 2 hours 30 minutes for parties of 7 or more. If arriving late, we may not be able to extend your seating time if there are reservations scheduled after your allotted timeframe.

A $50/guest min spend and a 20% gratuity is automatically added to the bill for groups of 6+

Very sadly pretty bad experience! I'd been twice before for dinner and both had been amazing visits. They were very short staffed so that was definitely a part of it, but the food was lackluster and many options on the Summerlicious menu were not available. 2/3 mains were not available and had to be subbed for a different sandwich (thank god because that was the best thing!) Water was filled to about 20% with an almost empty bottle to start, and never topped up until we asked later. Drink order was forgotten. Taste was ... not there today.

We had the tasting menu and really enjoyed it. The dishes were innovative and delicious. Our waiter, Daniel, was very kind and patient with us for asking him to review the various course ingredients. The dessert was among the best that I've had!

I’ve eaten at a lot of places, but Hawker stands out in a way few do. Every dish had so much depth and intention behind it. My palate felt completely satisfied, even surprised. My friend and I actually left wanting to come back the very next day, which says everything. We had the à la carte and tried the Spring, Flora, God’s Work, Bushfire, Valley, and for dessert, The Orchard. We couldn’t even pick a favourite because everything we tried was just that good. Not a single dish fell flat or felt like filler. Each one didn’t just deliver, it genuinely impressed us. We had the pleasure of sitting at the chef’s table and chatting with Rachel and Cam (our chefs for the evening), who generously walked us through the inspiration and ingredients behind each dish. You could genuinely feel the care and thought the head chef put into every element, not just in the earthy and rich flavours, but in the colours and plating too. The produce was always the star, paired in clever and unexpected ways leaving us always wanting more. Thank you to the wonderful staff and chefs! We’ll be back very soon

Our plans weee last minute so we were excited to be able to reserve a seat a few hours before, sat at the chefs table overlooking the kitchen and it was amazing, being able to chat with the chefs and see the food being prepared was a treat. And the food was delicious, beautiful, and fun to share. Truly memorable and would go back in a heartbeat.
