If you're looking for a vibrant scene with attractive, young, hip servers, and a rooftop view, this is your spot. Food and service were above average with several good options on the menu. The downside: an elevator that takes a long time -- we ended up walking down the stairs after our meal -- cramped quarters, and a single bathroom. However, it was an enjoyable experience overall.
The service was excellent and the staff was very accommodating. Our waitress was very caring and provided excellent recommendations. The brunch menu has a lot of options and the food was delicious.
Great food, presentation and drinks. Service was sub par but waitress was nice. Just inexperienced.
Service was terrible. Took a long time for server to come over and barely checked on us the rest of the time . However food was very good and ambiance was great
Great ambiance and nice menu. We had brunch on a Sunday prior to seeing a show. We arrived as the restaurant opened and it filled up quickly. Menu was good with a nice but not overwhelming selection. Food was slow to arrive but good quality. Service was fair - very friendly but not attentive (no water / drink refills offered, plates not cleared, check not offered).
It is a great place for drinks or dinner high above Times Square. While the food is average and the prices in line with NYC - the ambiance cannot be beat!
I was very disappointed with the food.and ambiancebnat Haven 'Rooftop?' The fish tacos were tough . Overseasoned and overpriced. The hotel,Sanctuary, does a great job of making you think its an upscale trendy restaurant. The restaurant is far from any of those things. Its basic and highly overpriced for below average food. The worst part of all is this is not a real rooftop. Its enclosed and lacks a view of anything. The only saving grace were the waiters. They were very nice and understanding of our disappointment. I would definitely not go back and would absolutely not recommend visiting.
Great service and awesome wait staff. Loved the fries.
Did not appreciate the waitresses boobs in my boyfriend’s face and their short short dresses...I expected classier for the price of the food and drinks. I ordered a martini, they served it in the smallest martini glass I have seen. Very disappointed. Will look for another rooftop restaurant.
Not worth! Too expensive
There was a wait time to take the elevator to go up to the 9th floor where the roof top is located. The views aren’t great. The serveur was pleasant and cool. We ordered sliders, calamari and captées salad. Food is bland. We had to return the burgers sliders. They were 100% raw. We ate quickly and left in a hurry. The only issue, we needed to wait another 20-25 minutes for the elevator to go down! I requested to take the stairs (9 floors isn’t that bad). However, the management wouldn’t let us use the stairs cuz we would “disturb” the guests of the hotel. Anyways, my experience was a nightmare. There are much better rooftops in NYC. We left in a hurry and went to BAR 54 located in the Hyatt hotel. Go there you won’t be disappointed.
The place its amazing. The Staff gentle the food is excellent.
Pretentious. That about sums it up. From the reservation making, to the line to go to the rooftop, to the "Keanu Reeves" look alike host, skip it. Overpriced, underwhelming.
The best place ever, excellent service, great food and an amazing view.
Great food and service! Would definitely go back again.
Niet de moeite waard. Overdreven bediening.
Wet night but sheltered so no problem. Staff very friendly and food and service terrific. Great venue. Would definitely recommend.
i love rooftop restaurants. BUT tours is in the midst of giganto buildings with major construction all over!!
in general tho' i like the place and will be back.
It was a pleasure to have dinner here! The menu was perfect, not too expensive, and has a nice variety of dishes. Loved the Salmon, and the hummus appetizer. The service was great as well. Recommend getting reservations!
Fillet mignon was cooked perfectly as ordered and was an excellent sign of meat. Perfect portion size. Cocktails were up there a little in price, but extremely delicious. Chocolate mousse for dessert was sublime.
View was average as there are quite a few tall buildings around, but there was still plenty to look at. Also, bring fully covered means it's an all weather venue. Highly recommended dining here.
Very generous I was late but they still reserved my table and even added another one when there was a change in the number of guest also I’m not sure if he was the manager but he helped us as soon as we got in the elevator to our table would definitely come back in the summer to enjoy the view again
The atmosphere and design of the restaurant was only complimented by the view. The menu was small but the quality was superior and everything tasted fresh. The service was outstanding, the staff was helpful and friendly. I will certainly return.
Lovely atmosphere, great cocktails. We had sharing plates as we weren’t overly hungry... view wasn’t so great. One communal toilet meant a lot of queuing too!
Midnight express cocktail and tiramisu dessert was amazing
Silly to think that you could actually go somewhere in the Theatre District before a show thats not designed to rip off tourist. The food was TERRIBLE and ridiculously overpriced. If you want a view and a drink, maybe okay, buy definitely don't sit down for a meal with any expectations. I would rather eat at McDonald's. At least I'd be getting what I paid for. I was so embarrassed to bring my mom there for a New York dining experience. Lesson learned.
Service was great, responsive and courteous. Food was very good and priced great for the location and the roof top view. VERY energetic crowd, but respectful and fun. Would go there again!
Food and service were great! Slow process to get upstairs as the elevator does not hold many people, and they make you check you bag if you have more than 1.
The food was nice the place ok but expected a much nicer place, when you see the pictures you think the place is much better then actually is.
Food overpriced and steak over cooked. Too many other choices in NYC
Food was amazing! We had gnocchi with truffle oil and creme brûlée for dessert!
Great decor, great atmosphere.
Food was good - did what it said on the tin.
fabulous place to celebrate my birthday ! lovely food and amazing atmosphere ,beautiful place to drink and dine at!
Nice place for a date. Service was only ok. We kind of got lost to the bigger parties.
Wasn't impressed with the service, but the setting was very nice and the food was good.
First time there so wasn’t sure what to expect. The atmosphere was very nice, but pretty much everything else underwhelmed.
The food was good but not great. I ordered a filet mignon which was seasoned fine but was a pretty poor cut of meat. I’ve had similar steaks at an Applebee’s and better ones at an Outback. Very disappointing for the price.
The drinks came pretty quickly and tasted good but felt low in alcohol content.
The waiter was nice but gave off an air of not caring. Was in and out quickly with little to no conversation or attempt at creating a bond for a good tip.
The view was uninspiring. When you have a meal on a rooftop you expect a great view, but everything around us was the middle of taller buildings or construction scaffolding.
Was worth a try, but no plans on ever going back.
I didn't get a chance to go as your site has the wrong timings for it. It was very disappointing.
awful ambiance, awful drinks and my pizza was basically a microwaveable
Alex was a great server! He recognized us from a previous visit, gave us plenty of time to relax and enjoy our meal. Great food and good portion size.
Really expensive for really small amount of food. I ordered the fish tacos (18$) and there were only two tiny tacos!
Very unpleasant interactions with staff. Would not recommend.
