Our prix fixe menu is three courses for $52 on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursdays and four courses for $68 on Friday and Saturday. Reservations are for our prix fixe menu only. Our a la carte lounge menu is served in our lounge and bar on a first come first serve basis.
This restaurant was closed but for some reason is still able to be booked via OpenTable. Don't book!
One of those rare restaurants that are quiet and lovely, without tables jammed up against each other and also has outstanding food. The $50 prix fixe menu is the bargain of the bay. The menu was varied and interesting and beautifully plated and presented, giving the meal a classy and elegant feel
The Prefix menu is over priced. Breads were a course just did not sound right to me even though the breads are good.
The food at Haven was wonderfully balanced. My only qualm was that servers didn't seem to communicate well amongst each other causing some confusion. Our server in particular didn't seem very familiar with certain menu items. Cocktails weren't really balanced either. However, the food made it all worth it.
We went there for Valentine. Myself and my wife and our son. About the only thing that was good was the waitress that was nice. The host was somewhat rude. More important the food portions were so small that we felt even the waitress seemed embarassed!! The prix fix was $89 per person, I guess for Valentine. The total came to $300 for 3 people, and we didn't have much drink. Afterwards we were so hungry that we had to make something to eat at home. What a rip off!! I understand it is chef prepared and all that. But would not cost them more to give us a little more food. Finally the waitress said they also have bread, and she brought it. That filled us a bit.
Haven is one of our favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. Great concept of how to structure a menu. Good wine list too.
The restaurant called me the night before my reservation and asked about food allergies. I indicated I was lactose intolerant. However, it's a prix fixed menu and I received several dishes containing dairy with no mention of my lactose intolerance. Also, the menu is all over the place. It's a restaurant that is in search of an identity. I believe there is a new chef since I was there last.
A lovely evening. The food was AMAZING and the wine options were great. If you buy a bottle of wine, they will waive the corkage fee if you bring your own. Our waitress was wonderful and really engaged us to describe the food. We started with an assortment of breads and hummus/butter/trout/pork terrine options. The kung pao brussel sprouts were to die for. Even the pear salad with sunflower seeds was exquisite. It was a wonderful evening for my mothers birthday dinner and the german reisling (selbach) was perfect. 10/10
Food was very tasty and well done but portion was very small. Was still hungry after the meal !
Very pleasantly surprised by this fixed menu, creative and amazingly fresh. Really excellent food.
The food and service is amazing. The menu is fixed, but everything tasted wonderful, even things I would not usually like were lovely.
This was amazing. My husband and I went here for date night and it was perfectly romantic. We had the price fixed 4 course menu at $68/person. It was delicious and the wine was great, too!
Amazing - A true epicurean experience.
The food was passable and unimpressive at best. The fish on the menu was changed without our knowledge. The main entree was a very small 1 OZ piece of fish or meat. Definitely not a good value for the quality of food and the availability of options. Not worth the $70 prix fixe price. Will not go back. Our waitress was not the most friendly.
Pretentious restaurant and wait staff. Food was ok not great. Not worth the price.
Attentive service, and food that was tasty and beautiful without being precious.
Great service and each course was wonderful. The drinks were really good, especially their homemade sodas.
Wonderful meal. Only complaint was it took a long time for us to get our drinks, pretty much finished first course before we got them. Otherwise, very interesting menu, outstanding food, excellent waitress.
That's the second time I have been there just as good as the first the food is great
The food was reasonably good, not great. It was not worth the price. On their website the Prix Fixe dinner was shown as $52/person. When they confirmed my reservation they said it was $60/person. When I got the bill it was $68/person. With one beer and one cocktail, tax and moderate tip it came to just under $200. Definitely not worth it. The hors d'oeu-vre for 2 persons, had only one of several items. Not at all nice for 2. The main dishes (we had one trout and one pork) were extremely small and ordinary in preparation. There were a few fancy touches to the presentation (sauce decoratively spread on the plate) which contrasted with the ordinary spicing and preparation of the dishes (I can do with simpler presentation and better taste).
There host was very considerate in receiving us and the server was attentive. Unfortunately the food didn't live up to the price.
Haven provides a comfortable but inventive, upscale experience. The fixed menu is a great decision, as it allows them to pay attention to delivering a great experience with each course. (Originally, as I recall, they had a regular menu approach.) The table service and wine steward were very attentive. Definitely worth another return trip soon.
Haven provided just what the name implies: a great place to sit with a new friend, eat unusual and delicious food, and feel comfortable with all the novelty.
Haven serves excellent food and has excellent servers. There was no special occasion, just friends getting together for dinner. It is expensive, but no more so than the average very
high end restaurant, and the food is worth the expense. It is a fixed price dinner with a choice
of entree, and if you are a vegetarian, there is a menu (unpublished) as well. I would most definitely go there again.
Haven has always been our go to spot for a romantic delicious dinner. That is why we chose to come here for our first dinner as a married couple. As always everything was perfect. Food and friendly service has always been exceptional.
Some of the reviewers said that there was not enough food. I can understand someone saying that because the entrees were small, but when you consider all the food they brought to the table, we were quite satisfied and full by the end. Every course was perfectly prepared and the flavor pairing were wonderful. A unique blend of flavor combinations at each course.
Delicious and interesting.
The food was excellent but very pricey even for a high end fix menu type of place. The interior was well appointed with a great view of the marina, but I was surprised it was pretty quite, not many patrons. I would highly recommend it for a romantic dinner, with great food with that special person, just make sure the wallet is full.
The service at the restaurant was excellent! The food also was delicious. However, the main course was about 1 ounce of meat per person. So, while it was delicious, it was ridiculously small and we left hungry. The dessert was fine, but not really satisfying as a "sweet".
Great food. Very slow service. Took our party of 6 3 hours to dine.
Need music outside!
I was disappointed a bit because they offered only a pre-fix meal in the dining room and we were there on a weekday night. This is a good restaurant but I don't want to be forced to spend $70 for a pre-fix meal.
Peculiar dishes that make you drool. It's delicious! The staff are knowledge and nice. It's a must go.
Slow to be seated.
Food was well presented but underwhelming and bland.
We liked the place. The food was very good and the service was nice as well. Don't be afraid of the fixed menu approach - it's worth it.
Service was atrocious for the expectation. Would not return.
Easy and pleasant evening. Staff was welcoming and attentive. Food was great. Haven made for a wonderfully comfortable night out.
Great food, great drinks and the "breaking bread" appetizers were really great!
Fantastic food although pre-fixe. A la carte is available in the lounge/bar area. The breaking bread is an array of little bites with housemade breads n crackers. An absolute delight! It includes pâté, smoked trout, burrata, squid, hummus, cherry tomatoes with nori and even an organic salad. The wagyu bavette was accompanied with a delectable corn "succotash". The bavette however was a bit tough yet very well prepared. The view over the bay/harbor is an added bonus. Oh yeah did I mention the yum dessert?
The genial waitstaff, the atmosphere, and the lounge menu are tops. Would be great to see more flexible menu in main dining room. (It's reverted to a prixe fix). Overall great spot for drinks and delicious food in an area where that can be hard to come by.
The simple family style menu with only 2 entree choices makes it easy on the restaurant. The food was good and the service was friendly, but I am not sure it was special enough to return to that concept at those prices.
Excellent! Highly recommended!!!
