What a gem of a place! Great service and imaginative & delicious food. The only issue we had was the sound level. SO loud thanks to a large party in the center of the room. Their voices carried easily throughout the restaurant. Perhaps a layer of ceiling tile or under table pads to buffer the noise a bit?
Service and food was excellent!
We had a good dinner with friends even though you guys ran our of chicken. That was a surprise. Thanks.
Super tasty food and beer. Service is a little slow because so crowded but super fun hipster place. Would recommend for a date or fun evening with friends.
The fish in the fish and chips was flavorless. The fries, poutine and burgers were good. Beer of course great selection and good selection of wines.
Very cool set up and decor. Amazing food. We all had breakfast food and there were no complaints. The beer was delicious!
Haven always delivers, amazing food, amazing cocktails!!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent, but it’s extremely loud. We had trouble hearing each other.
We enjoyed Mother's Day brunch @ Haven. Wonderful, savory dishes on the menu! Unbeatable craft beer selection, and nice wine selections, as well.
The food is en pointe. Love the craft beer and craft cocktail selection. The service is very good. The noise level does go up as it gets more crowded or if there are a few loud parties.
Great service. Delicious food. Will be back.
I highly recommend trying the tagliatelle pasta and the cinnamon beignets!!
Definitely try the mac and cheese, cornbread and deviled eggs!
Arriving, the pleasant hostess gave us the option of pation seating or sitting at the window and watching the vibrant car show going on, which we did. The French pressed Portola coffee was delightfully good, and the steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, with a complement of arugula, just what I needed. Waitress was not attentive, but the manager was very accommodating. Definitely worth a return visit.
We are returning customers, and I know it was a Monday night so it was slow. But our server was on break when we got there and another server took our drink and appetizer order. But as we were there for our anniversary, I guess I just expected a little more attention. Originally they were going to stick us in the window seating area which is really uncomfortable and then we were moved to the closest table to the kitchen door (even though the rest of the restaurant was pretty much empty. It felt weird to have to ask again to have a booth which she finally gave us. The food is always good... always very interesting and creative. I know I can always try something new when going here which we do love about the place. I just felt like it was as welcoming as it has been in the past. Again, maybe it was just Monday night blues.
The atmosphere was excellent. The service was fantastic. The food was superb. The only thing i would say is that the burger was a little under cooked for Medium, but other then that is was a great experience.
Friendly service. Mac & Cheese was amazing. Nice place. Will come again.
It’s Become our home away from home. Everything on the menu is delicious and great drinks!
The food really isn’t pub/bar friendly. Want people to order more drinks? Offer simple selections priced more reasonably. 10.00 for cornbread? No shareable finger foods? I realize you’re in a trendy area, but come on!
Probably the best octopus I've eaten. Good service and good beer selection.
Much too much ambient noise. Prices were quite on the high side for what was served.
Haven Craft Kitchen and bar is a really cool place to grab some great eats. The tater tot Poutine is awesome! Their skinny French fries must have crack in them, cuz I couldn’t stop eating them, kidding about the crack, of course. But, you will not leave any of these fries on your plate, trust me. The servers were excellent, always kept an eye on our table. Also, it’s in a cool little part of town. I think it’s antique row, or something. There were several antique shops all up and down the street. The patio area is small, but you don’t really notice much, because the ambiance is so great. Just a side note...I accidentally walked off without my cell phone, called them about it 15 minutes later, and the host already had it waiting for me. Great job, you guys! I will definitely be making return visits here.
Good food and good wait staff, with an incompetent host/hostess group that doesn't know how to count to four guests.
I have been here before and liked it. This time, the place was not crowded, yet it took a while for somebody to come by our table. The menu is extremely limited, which is tough when you have celiac and cannot eat gluten. My $19 lettuce wrapped burger and fries came out with cold French fries. It was mediocre at best, even after spending an extra $7 for truffle fries (barely could taste truffle), avocado, and bacon, so really it was a $26 mediocre burger served with cold fries. My husband had fish and chips that he said were oily, and just not very good. Service was horrible. Had to ask twice for salt and pepper, although she was sweet. There was a negative atmospheric vibe between the bartender and staff, a lot of tension there. The wine was not so good. My Pinot noir was served warm. And, they no longer serve the shepherds pie, which was what we came for. Overall big disappointment and a huge bill. Will not be returning.
It was not the best experience this go around. Normally the food and service are off the wall great. Took to long to get a waiter and the meal quality was not as good as it usually is. I will try again later. Please bring back the butternut squash soup!!!!
Food and drink were good. Service was friendly, but a little slow.
A bit loud for catching up with old friends, but our server was lovely and the food was tasty.
Very nice atmosphere and excellent presentation of organic foods. Artistic and ample amount of food. We were there for the OC food week and had choices off of that menu, all very good. Staff was busy but attentive.
The food was terrible. My daughter had said this place was terrific. She was with us and they told us they just changed the menu again, and the waitress said they've done that 3-4 times in the last few months. Even my daughter says she won't go back.
Food was delicious and waitress was very friendly and helpful.
Amazing food, excellent service, and fantastic drinks!
We sat outside on the patio, and although it was a chilly night, the outdoor heaters kept us cozy. Everything we ordered was excellent - poutine tots, hanger steak, broccoli and burrata, salmon entree, mushroom pasta and sticky toffee pudding. Service was a little slow because the place was packed, but all in, the experience was great. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Worth getting away from the Anaheim convention center! When you are in SoCal and close to Disneyland, take the time to drive over to Orange California and have a meal at Haven Craft Kitchen + Bar. Their menu is unique with twists on old favorites - they have converted steak tartare to a salmon tartare that was fabulous. And, if you like fish, try the grilled salmon, it was magnificent! Hangar steaks and burgers didn't disappoint either. Haven Craft is lively with a nice energy vibe - also check out the neighborhood. Old Orange has many shops and restaurants. It's a fun place to visit...
Andrea was a fantastic server, all of her recommendations were spot on. The food was drink was very good and I will definitely return.
Food was great - owner was super nice - only complaint is that it was loud
The food was exceptional. The prices seemed initially high but the quality, flavor and originality of the starters, side and main dishes made up for it. We had such a great dinner that ordering two desserts to try seemed almost necessary! The beer selection was good, especially the “Kooked” IPA. It had a very smooth flavor. We will definitely come back again. Our waitress did an exceptional job taking care of us continually throughout the meal.
We stopped by on a Friday night around 6pm, party of 4. We ordered a couple cocktails and quite a few appetizers to share-everything was delicious! Great service as well.
The restaurant has changed a lot since the chefs have transitioned in and out - the menu is richer and heavier, and the food isn't as good. The noise is REALLY off the charts, we could barely hear each other. Everything was just ho hum.
For a gastropub, our bill was outrageously high. Menu not much of a selection. Not sure what has changed there in last year, but we won't be going back
