Haven Craft Kitchen and bar is a really cool place to grab some great eats. The tater tot Poutine is awesome! Their skinny French fries must have crack in them, cuz I couldn’t stop eating them, kidding about the crack, of course. But, you will not leave any of these fries on your plate, trust me. The servers were excellent, always kept an eye on our table. Also, it’s in a cool little part of town. I think it’s antique row, or something. There were several antique shops all up and down the street. The patio area is small, but you don’t really notice much, because the ambiance is so great. Just a side note...I accidentally walked off without my cell phone, called them about it 15 minutes later, and the host already had it waiting for me. Great job, you guys! I will definitely be making return visits here.
Good food and good wait staff, with an incompetent host/hostess group that doesn't know how to count to four guests.
I have been here before and liked it. This time, the place was not crowded, yet it took a while for somebody to come by our table. The menu is extremely limited, which is tough when you have celiac and cannot eat gluten. My $19 lettuce wrapped burger and fries came out with cold French fries. It was mediocre at best, even after spending an extra $7 for truffle fries (barely could taste truffle), avocado, and bacon, so really it was a $26 mediocre burger served with cold fries. My husband had fish and chips that he said were oily, and just not very good. Service was horrible. Had to ask twice for salt and pepper, although she was sweet. There was a negative atmospheric vibe between the bartender and staff, a lot of tension there. The wine was not so good. My Pinot noir was served warm. And, they no longer serve the shepherds pie, which was what we came for. Overall big disappointment and a huge bill. Will not be returning.
It was not the best experience this go around. Normally the food and service are off the wall great. Took to long to get a waiter and the meal quality was not as good as it usually is. I will try again later. Please bring back the butternut squash soup!!!!
Food and drink were good. Service was friendly, but a little slow.
A bit loud for catching up with old friends, but our server was lovely and the food was tasty.
Very nice atmosphere and excellent presentation of organic foods. Artistic and ample amount of food. We were there for the OC food week and had choices off of that menu, all very good. Staff was busy but attentive.
The food was terrible. My daughter had said this place was terrific. She was with us and they told us they just changed the menu again, and the waitress said they've done that 3-4 times in the last few months. Even my daughter says she won't go back.
Food was delicious and waitress was very friendly and helpful.
Amazing food, excellent service, and fantastic drinks!
We sat outside on the patio, and although it was a chilly night, the outdoor heaters kept us cozy. Everything we ordered was excellent - poutine tots, hanger steak, broccoli and burrata, salmon entree, mushroom pasta and sticky toffee pudding. Service was a little slow because the place was packed, but all in, the experience was great. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Worth getting away from the Anaheim convention center! When you are in SoCal and close to Disneyland, take the time to drive over to Orange California and have a meal at Haven Craft Kitchen + Bar. Their menu is unique with twists on old favorites - they have converted steak tartare to a salmon tartare that was fabulous. And, if you like fish, try the grilled salmon, it was magnificent! Hangar steaks and burgers didn't disappoint either. Haven Craft is lively with a nice energy vibe - also check out the neighborhood. Old Orange has many shops and restaurants. It's a fun place to visit...
Andrea was a fantastic server, all of her recommendations were spot on. The food was drink was very good and I will definitely return.
Food was great - owner was super nice - only complaint is that it was loud
The food was exceptional. The prices seemed initially high but the quality, flavor and originality of the starters, side and main dishes made up for it. We had such a great dinner that ordering two desserts to try seemed almost necessary! The beer selection was good, especially the “Kooked” IPA. It had a very smooth flavor. We will definitely come back again. Our waitress did an exceptional job taking care of us continually throughout the meal.
We stopped by on a Friday night around 6pm, party of 4. We ordered a couple cocktails and quite a few appetizers to share-everything was delicious! Great service as well.
The restaurant has changed a lot since the chefs have transitioned in and out - the menu is richer and heavier, and the food isn't as good. The noise is REALLY off the charts, we could barely hear each other. Everything was just ho hum.
For a gastropub, our bill was outrageously high. Menu not much of a selection. Not sure what has changed there in last year, but we won't be going back
Fantastic food and professional service. Big plus one for the ease at which the accommodated our shellfish allergy.
Had hanger steak with a salad and a few red wines. Excellent quality and the Scheid pinot noir was great.
All the employees are very nice and considerate. I feel like the food has increased in quality since my last visit, several months ago. I’m glad I came back for the Valentine’s Day menu.
It would be nice if they were willing to do more tasters; many of the beers are uncommon and I’d like to be able to sip something once before committing to a whole glass of it.
It was Valentine’s Day. Enjoyed the food and appetizers. It was a bit loud but not overly so. Will go back again.
This was a random find as it was my first time to Orange and I am happy I did. Fun cool place, good music playing in the background, good crowd noise, not overpowering but loud enough to give a good energy. Food was very good, extensive bourbon list and friendly efficient service. Will be back again if I am in town.
Great cocktails and variety of sharing items.
Great good but a bit slow.
They have a very limited menu, so be sure to check it out before you go. I wish I could've made a selection from their brunch or lunch menu, but that's not an option at dinner. Guess I'll have to go back a few more times!
Mitzy was wonderful and helps us out greatly. It was a very pleasant environment, a little loud for our taste but it was still nice. The portions vary but the quality is spectacular. Thanks again.
Perfect amount of attention and knowledge by all staff. The owner (Will) came by our table and spent 10 minutes answering all of our questions and curiosities!
Go and you will be a fan like we are ow!!!
Service was excellent, food was good with some items being a bit too salty, noise level was also a bit loud it seemed we had to speak with a raised voice. Overall a great experience though.
Food selection not as good as when it was Haven Gastro Pub. Burger not even close. Will not be returning.
Always great service and great food/drink!
Really good food. Service was good. Made a reservation which was good it was busy on a Tuesday eve
Dinner with friends, the food was great and so were the beverages. It is on the loud side that would be the only negative.
Our experience was amazing. The service is exceptional and the food is so tasty.
Not sure what happend this time but service was at best mediocre. Over 10 minutes to have someone bring water and take an order. The food was g re eat (pork tacos have a lot of flavor) and some wonderful beer on tap. Better luck next time if guess
Went here with a group of my girlfriends for a fun "girls day out" lunch on a Saturday. The services was super slow but the food was very good. I recommend allowing enough time to enjoy. We enjoyed an appetizer, drinks (beer and champaign), entree, and dessert which took over two hours to complete. Mostly because our waitress was slow. You would ask for something and get it 10 minutes later. We ordered coffee (French Press) with dessert and I needed a coffee cup... you guessed it... 10 minutes later, I had a coffee cup. Maybe you'll have better luck with the service. The food is definitely worth trying.
Excellent food and service. We will return. The pork tacos were excellent. Be careful their hot sauce/salsa is pretty hot.
We had a Window Bench seat next to the Bar. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived so we could actually have a conversation. However within 20 minutes that changed when a group of boisterous people joined the Bar adjacent to us. They kept crowding closer and closer to us while trying to talk over each other. I thought at one point they would be sitting in our laps! They really were oblivious to anyone else around them. I wouldn't have minded so much however, I was on a first date and not wanting to make a scene I put up with their activities. This may not be a good choice for a first date. The Salmon was excellent I only wish the portion was larger for the price they charge. Our Waitress was polite, encouraging and very attentive.
