Extremely friendly staff and great food
What a pretty, comfortable restaurant. However, every stage in the process was a problem. Took over 10 minutes to acknowledge we were there (on time for a reservation), then another 10 to seat us. No bartender, so they couldn’t sell their creative cocktails. Took much longer to get our order in and then waited and waited. Appetizer (veggie samosas) were excellent. Only one main dish came out. We shared it and then finally called it a night after being there for an hour and a half. So they lost lots of $ in total bull. Unfortunately, they lack organization. They would benefit greatly from having assigned roles and sticking to them. Staff ran around trying to get things done, but extremely ineffectively. Good tasting food, too. Sad they can’t get it together. Staff is friendly and kind, just no one seemed to be In charge to keep things organized. Hope they can get it together.
Left after 30 minutes with no table service, nor drinks menus. Waste of time.
We went on Valentines evening and had reservations. Waited 15 minutes to get seated. Once seated, we waited 20 minutes and nobody brought water or anything. Thus, we got up and left. Terrible experience! I also booked the reservation using a $10 reward which I think I lost now...I’m very frustrated.
Worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
Worst experience ever! My husband and I had a reservation for Valentines Day. We were sat promptly and our order was taken. It took very little time to get our drinks but then the trouble started. While sitting at our table eating the app, a server began to bring all the extra chairs and high chairs over and pushed them up against my side of the table and my chair.At one point I moved them back near the stairway and she came back and pushed them within an inch of our table. Within a couple of minutes, the same server placed a bucket with a trash bag and a big bussing pans with dirty dishes on the floor next to us. At first I thought they were moving stuff around and we thought it would be a very quick, gross, but temporary staging. I was wrong! Instead of picking the items up and taking them downstairs, she brought a big cart over with LOTS of dirty dishes and proceeded to start scraping the food into the bucket next to our table and placing the dishes into the pans. At this point my husband and I could not believe this was actually taking place. I then told her that this was unacceptable to be doing next to people dining and made her seat us at a new table. After 45 minutes, no one had checked on us, brought us refills, new silverware, napkins or our dinner. We then complained to a server about not getting our food and she went and told someone. 20 minutes later someone came upstairs and asked us for our order again. We placed the order again, no refills, silverware or napkins. 20 mins later still no food. We had now been there for 90 minutes. We got up to leave and as we head downstairs, the waiter was at the bar with our food talking to servers. He saw us and grabbed the tray and started up. We told him we were not paying for the dinner. He didn’t bring us silverware or napkins. We finally got silverware a few minutes later. No one ever came back. Many people were leaving due to poor service. We weren’t the only ones! Never go here!
Went for a Valentine's date. The decorations were really pretty. Their food is excellent, but their service/front of house management is awful. I saw two tables get up and walk out when we were there because they sat for 15 - 20 minutes without any service. This is the third time I've eaten in there and it has been the same each time. I'll stick to ordering for delivery/pick up and not try to dine in again.
We waited more than 10 minutes for our server, then another 15 minutes for drinks after we ordered. The server was distracted and not particularly friendly. He did not know the menu and could not answer our questions very well. We ordered from the special Valentine's fixed menu. The menu featured a sparkling rose, but the wine they brought was not sparkling. Then they ran out of rose altogether (before 7pm). The entrees took over an hour to get to our table (6pm reservation, received entrees at 7:30pm). We ran out of time and skipped the dessert because we had a show to get to by 8pm. They didn't offer a discount even though the dessert came with the price of the meals we ordered from the fixed menu.

Really trendy curry house. It has a great atmosphere and the food was delicious! If you’re a white person and going to order chicken tikka masala, then you won’t be disappointed!
We made reservations, got there on-time. A walk-in group in front of us got a table in the main dining room. We were seated upstairs and there wasn’t really any assigned server. Ordered cocktails, to be told that there wasn’t a bartender (on a Saturday night!). So we had a glass of wine, but only after being told that they were out of the wine we wanted. We ordered appetizers and entrees. One person was served their entree before the appetizers arrived. Several different servers came up and down the stairs and we had to stop one of them to ask about our food. We never clearly had a server assigned to our table as we, who had reservations were in an overflow area. The food was great, but everything else was subpar. We had been there before and had a better experience; but everything was such a hot mess that we will never go back nor will we be able to ever again recommend this restaurant.
We love Haveli's! However, going during restaurant week and on a Friday evening may not have been the smartest choice. Service was slow, especially bar service. Food was still excellent as usual!
The service was incredibly slow - we were on time for our 8 p.m. reservation but waited 10 minutes to be seated and another 50 minutes to place just our drink orders. We ended up being there 3 hours for dinner, and there were only 4 of us. The food was good, but the service ruined it.
Service was so atrocious, I absolutely could not believe it.
Food was very good but portions are small. The service is horrible. The waiter just pointed at a table and said sit over there. Took a long time to take our order. Never checked on our drinks or how the food was. Took 20 minutes just to get our check. Will not go back there again.
Despite of having a reservation in advance, the person at the counter said the Kitchen is closed. He also spoke to the manager on call, and that didn’t help. We were there to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary with a baby who was hungry, but the manager did not show any empathies and was blunt that the kitchen is closed, so we had to run to find any other open place with a hungry baby.
We were a group of 6 and the restaurant wasn’t busy and it still took around 45 minutes for them to bring our food. The waitress only provided with one medium sized pot of rice for the whole table to share as well as the naan bread, one basket for every two people, however we all got charged with it as an individual order. The cherry on top was that we got automatically charged with 18% tip as if it would’ve been a big group without any warning about it.
Service can be better. More importantly, for the price, they were very economical on all the proteins ordered. A lot of sauce, very little meat.
Only issue was the heating system was out. I was a little chilly but that didn’t stop us.
We had s very nice late Sunday diner while attending a conference, minor order with one ordered item not available and one item seemingly missed and supplied later. Six people were quite happy with the food.
Loved trying this place for the first time. Location and ambiance is amazing. Food was delicious with many options. The service was great, just a tad bit slow at times.
Waited over an hour for food to arrive. Other tables were served and finished before we were served. Absolutely no offer to discount the meal. No comps. Just some lame excuse that fish takes a long time to prepare. Clearly our order never made it to the kitchen and the staff took no responsibility. When the food finally arrived it was very good.
The wonderful aromas can be smelled before you enter. The staff were polite and helpful. The choices are plentiful and my meal and the meal of my companion were wonderful.

Wow, they really dropped the ball for 2019 Pride weekend. In 2018 I dined here during the Pride parade, had cocktails and food with friends, and watched the parade in air conditioned style from the 2nd floor dining area. It was fantastic and they were very accommodating.
Not sure what happened in a years time, because our experience this last weekend was quite the opposite.
I made my reservations (for 6) using OpenTable and requested the 2nd floor for parade viewing and made it clear that we would be eating and drinking-we had done this last year, and we were really looking forward to dining here again.
I called to confirm two weeks out...the man who answered rudely told me to call back closer to the date. I called back 4 days prior and spoke with a woman. There was no reservation, so she took it down for us and Again I requested the upstairs area and made it clear we would be DRINKING COCKTAILS and eating. She told me it shouldn’t be a problem but would call me if it was.
Pride morning, we show up at 11:30 when they opened, and the man told me that no, they were “cleaning” the upstairs and it would take an hour (we were there since 10:30 outside waiting for the parade to start. Half the staff was outside with us that entire time) Then in order to accommodate us they had to rearrange a bunch of tables-because clearly they had no idea we were coming. Why do you even bother to take reservations?
We could barely see the parade sitting on the first floor but the food and drink had been so good last year that we resigned to stay.
Then they tell us that THE BAR IS CLOSED!
On PRIDE WEEKEND? What?!? Who’s the genius who made that decision?
So, we got up and left. And all 6 of us are happy to share this experience with ALL of our friends. Don’t bother with this place. I’d give em zero stars if I could.
We had an excellent time there with our family. The food was exceptional and the wait staff was friendly and accommodating, despite being short-handed. Waiting for the next time I can go there
Went there for a birthday dinner, we walked in and there was only 3 people in the place at dinner time on a Saturday. We sat down excited, however we were quickly let down. When we attempted to order cocktails we were told there was no bartender. I asked if they had called off and the response was they have never had one since I’ve worked here. We attempted to order wine , one of us was successful when I picked one I was told they were out, and the other 3 choices they didn’t have. I had a beer, it was this time that my fiancé went on yelp and checked out the rather scathing reviews within the last month. Not wanting to leave anything to chance we finished our drinks and went elsewhere.
There are some positives about Haveli Bistro. The menu isn't especially adventurous, but they provide do a decent job with all the Indian standards, and at a reasonable price. But the service is so subpar that it can't be recommended at the present time. We were seated with little delay on our recent visit, but they did not appear to have a dedicated host/hostess, and I noted a couple of separate backlogs of customers waiting at the desk until someone could see to them. There was no bartender on duty, and I note from the other reviews that this is not an uncommon occurrence. Our order was taken and our food arrived without too much delay, but after we were served we were never seen to again. This meant that my wife could not ask our waitress why there was no rice brought out with her butter chicken, and we never got a refill on our water glasses, which is something of a problem when you're dining Indian. There was a very long wait until we could get someone's attention to call for our check, and then we had to ask a second time. I suppose things could have been worse, as a nearby table had the wrong order brought out entirely. There seemed to be a lot of staff activity without a whole lot actually getting accomplished, which indicates management failures in two areas: training and simply having enough bodies on hand. This neighborhood is not especially forgiving, so they really need to get their act together in a hurry.
The Lamb Saag was delightful.
They were not serving alcohol for some reason and it was very empty. Great food though
Food is AMAZING. This is our favorite Indian restaurant in the city right now. Medium was pretty spicy for us - we'll go mild next time. Except for the Tikka Masala, medium was perfect for that. They were doing a catering event that night, so the food took some time. If you are in a rush, make sure they know about it. Bar service was slow. The smoked old fashioned was a cool presentation, but too sweet of a drink overall.
The service was terrible and the portion sizes were laughable. I ordered kabobs and received six small chicken nuggets. We had to waive someone down to take our order and we waited 30 minutes for our bill. Will not be going back. What a waste of money.

We had gone for the lunch buffet and wanted to see how dinner was. It did not disappoint. Though they did have a shortage of wines the night we went.

Since my entree was on the table for over ten minutes and my companion's wasn't delivered yet, I stopped another server and asked where it was. She said, " Did you ask your server to have them brought out at the same time?" I replied, "No...I didn't think that would be necessary." It was another five minutes till they brought it.
Also, their "green salad" was strange. A small amount of chopped up plain pale iceberg lettuce in bottom of a bowl topped with thick full slices of red onion, pale pink tomato slices, big slices of carrot, cucumber slices, and two lemon wedges. Very unappetizing...better to leave off menu if that's the best they can do with salad.
Service is probably their weakest point and brings their rating down. They are not extremely attentive and do not make much effort to please customers. The food is ok, pretty standard as far as Indian food in Columbus goes, but not anything to make you want to come back again for a special occasion. The decor inside is nice - seems fairly new and designed for large parties, so when you walk in and only see one or two tables occupied, you wonder why is it so empty.
