I’m shocked this restaurant is well-reviewed. It seems like a hazard how tiny the walkways are between tables. I love Cuban food, but nothing here had any distinct flavor. Even lime did not help. The service was adequate, but I just can’t emphasize how lackluster the food was. Everything was so plain. Cute vibe, but It felt like a cheap chain restaurant in Miami.

This was our first visit to the NYC location. We have been to the Garden City location several times, but ironically, only because we found it while looking for a restaurant in the Theater district in NYC. It was too far from our theater but we decided to try the GC location on our way home from the show. This location was just as wonderful! Definitively have the Street Corn app. I’ve tried to replicate it at home, but it’s not quite the same. I love the garlic shrimp w/ yellow rice. The ropa vieja is also great. We’ve also tried the sampler, three tiers of varied Cuban dishes. Have not had a bad choice here. Also, happy hour 3-7 throughout the restaurant, not just at the bar , keeps the price lower than at other restaurants. And have the cafe cubano. It’s great!

We were seated early for our 12:30 pm reservation. We had a choice of the glass room or the main area. The glass room offered an outside ambiance with indoor comfort. Our server Edward was very attentive and personable. Our food was delicious and arrived quickly. We had arroz con pollo and chicken cubano. Unfortunately, we could not eat more food before the Broadway show.

i THOUGHT THE FOO WAS JUST OK I ALSO THOUGHT IT WAS COLD AND PORTIONS WERE SMALL. I'VE BEEN HER BEFORE AND IT WAS MUCH BETTER.

Great happy hour specials. Drink special are available at tables but the food specials are only available at the bar. Enjoyed empanadas, stuffed plantains, roast pork. The salad was just ok and could have been a bit better. We enjoyed conversing with Orlando, the bar tender.

We had the empanadas for appetizers beef,cheese and shrimp that were all amazing. Classic Cuban sandwich very nice and tasty. Mojitos mango were delicious. Would definitely dine there again soon.
