Havana Central Roosevelt Field Mall Ratings and Reviews
Great music very beautiful vibrant place. My appetizer and entrée were great but my dessert was pretty bad I got three tiny shriveled looking “churros”. Service was good could be a little more friendly. Drinks were good. Overall a good experience and I will be going back and recommending.
It is an OK restaurant if you want to have Cuban food you can't get elsewhere easily. But it is just OK. Portions are good, the flavor is fine, but you feel as if it you are being rushed by a not too attentive waitress. They need more waitress service.
The drinks are mixed with very little liquor. My pina colada tasted mostly like pineapple when I asked for more liquor that I would pay for, it could not be done. My daughter also asked for a mixed drink and she could not taste the rum.
It is very 'touristy'. Decor is fun and music makes me happy since I am of Carribbean descent but I will go only when in the mall (don't live in area)and won't go out of my way to travel there just to eat. I won't order cocktails.
Was shopping with my wife and the place seemed like a great option. Made a reservation with the app and got there about 30 min early. We checked in and told them we are early and if they can get us in before that would be great. We were told there were others with earlier reservations but shouldn’t be a problem. It was busy, great live music. It was 9:10 and our reservation was for 9:45 pm. No buzzers or any way of letting us know other than calling our name out so I waited nearby. People came in after us and were seated before us. I checked in a few times and was told it would just be a few minutes. Finally a little after 10 when I saw two couples who came in after 9:45 be seated before us, I went up again. We were brought to a table, a small one that had a sign watch your step wet floor next too it. The table was wet and sticky and the floor was wet too. One hour and that’s what I was given. Wouldn’t take it. At the same time, two other tables of two were seated. I am a very easy going person and a generous reviewer and tipper but this wasn’t acceptable. Finally we were seated at an appropriate table. Food was very good, waiter was as well. Great live music. Front needs better training and a better system I don’t blame them. Will try again but only one more try.
Our reservation was for 7:30. We had to wait 20 minutes for our table. Then we were shown a table right by the bar with lots of people standing around. We asked for another table in the restaurant and had to wait another 20 minutes. It was right by the music (the band was great). Way too loud to have a conversation. We had to wait for the band to go on a break to talk. Food was good, drinks not so good. My vodka and club soda was served in an old fashion glass. That’s too small for a club soda drink!!! This is a nice place to go if you don’t want to talk too much and listen to good Latin music.
