Havana Central Ridge Hill Ratings and Reviews
PLace was over crowded i booked this in advance to be seated at a good table an wen i got there they seem like they wasnt ready for a reservation an i jus got put at any table an the food was expensive at that an nobody can hear me an food was rushed like i was tight an im never coming back.
This is a beautiful restaurant and the food is delicious! I never leave disappointed. I haven't been lucky enough to catch the live band.
I miss them selling the empanadas outside on Tuesdays or Thursdays (I can't remember). They have the best empanadas!
Great staff as well :)
We’ve been to Havana Central before and have always had an great experience. This time we went for my birthday and it was so good. Our server Cathy made the usual great experience amazing! That girl should be training every server! She was polite, personalsble, and accommodating. If I could request a server for future visits I would I’d request her every time.
I ate here before with small
Groups and it was great, I made sure I reserved a table For a party of 8. The table wasn’t ready when we got There, then is was so squeezed between two other tables that me and my daughter were uncomfortable ( she’s only six and I’m a
Petite person) we barley fit since the chair couldn’t
Be pulled out, for a large party and gratuity automatic they had a server who was covering to many tables. I ordered 2 pitchers of sangria ( same exact as I have before) when it came out it was different I asked her why it wasn’t w red wine she said well that’s it and continued to mix the second ignoring any question I asked, she could’ve asked what was it I wanted and changed it nothing was mixed yet. When I made the reservation I started it was a birthday and wanted to celebrate. A slice of any desert Wasn’t brought out. I could go on no utensils on the table the rice had the bottom crunchy part in it. Not what one expects when they spend over 300. This will definitely be my last time.
I’m originally from Miami, so I know and love Cuban food. However at this restaurant I don’t believe they know what it is, well at least I don’t think the chef knows! The server was nice, but had no clue about the food. The Chimichurri sauce was like a bland pesto paste. Disgusting. The online menu on google or open table for this location is not up to date. Most the pictures of the food on trip advisor were made by the restaurant, but when the food comes out it looks nothing like the pictures. Sorry I didn’t take any pictures. It’s almost as if the real chef opened the restaurant then quit. If you find yourself here and have to get something then try the pernil asado. That was edible. As far as dessert the flan was great, but then again how does the saying go? There’s 2 things hard to mess up when it comes to cooking...that’s breakfast and dessert. LOL
This place would be a good place to go for a cocktail and live music. Not for food.
Back to awesome. Not sure if the management change has anything to do with the overall at atmosphere. Great service. Great food. The marinated pork shank is worth every penny. The app with the breaded corn is phenomenal and who doesn't love a good Mojito. The children had a great time and our server was very attentive and on time.
Food was delicious but we had to use our cell phones to light the menu enough to read. Service started out good but waiter seemed to ignore us after we got our dinner. We were going to have dessert and coffee but he took to long to come back to us and by then we were over it.
Havana Central is perfect for lunch as a couple or with the family. The food is consistently excellent. I recommend the Classic Cuban Sandwich. The service is always the best. Our server, Ross, was right where he should have been. He was competent and personable.
What can I say? Great food, Great atmosphere Great people. Just don't get the waiter named Joey. Absolutely the worst. I hate to say names but when you ruin a service and there are children involved you should be fired. I asked the manager to change the waiter due to a service problem and they did. He was upset because of the change and I watched him say to the new server I'll bring the desserts. Brownies came out like hockey pucks and he brought them with a smirk on his face. So upset but my children were sitting there so I bit my tongue and paid and left.
The server was not very friendly - I understand it was a late reservation but that’s no excuse for poor service . We sat outside and one of the other patrons was smoking and trying to hide it and no one told her to put it out. And they clearly saw and smelled it . It was just a bad experience and - the drinks tasted like juice .
Our server Joshua was awesome. He took the time to constantly make sure we were comfortable. Joshua knew it was my niece's 30th birthday and he went out of his way to secretly ask me what was her favorite appetizer and he brought it out with a candle. My niece had a extremely memorable night. The food and drinks were out of this world. We definitely recommend it to everyone. You definitely can hear yourself talking even with the nice live music.
I canceled last nite because I made a res. On open table but it didn't show that they had customer appreciation day and only had 20$ menu. It was packed. We still had to wait on line. I canceled with the waitress. Gave her my name and went to Greek rest. Next store. Today open table sent message that I didn't cancel. The waitress taking res. On the line never took my name off. Will call later. Next time. Open table should take note of such a change in menu.
It was great to join my daughter and her boyfriend for dinner. Drinks were delicious, food was good and the atmosphere was festive. We ate outside, but there was a terrific band playing Latin jazz inside. We had a great time and will return soon.
Made a reservation for my mom's birthday, it was five of us in total. The food was just okay, not as good as I had hoped. The tostones were hard and "ugly" as my mom mentioned since they were dark. I ordered ropa vieja and I was the worst one I've ever had at a restaurant since the meat was red of how undercooked it was. I left almost all of it on my plate and only ate the black bean moro which was actually delicious. My mom and her friends enjoyed the shrimp dishes they ordered. The ambiance was loud but not overwhelming. Our server was really sweet and accommodating after I told her that it was my mom's bday celebration. I had mentioned this in my reservation and asked for an acknowledgement via a small cake or birthday song but this never happened until I mentioned it which was disappointing. Needless to say I plan to spend my money elsewhere for future celebrations.
