Havana Central Ridge Hill Ratings and Reviews
Back to awesome. Not sure if the management change has anything to do with the overall at atmosphere. Great service. Great food. The marinated pork shank is worth every penny. The app with the breaded corn is phenomenal and who doesn't love a good Mojito. The children had a great time and our server was very attentive and on time.
Food was delicious but we had to use our cell phones to light the menu enough to read. Service started out good but waiter seemed to ignore us after we got our dinner. We were going to have dessert and coffee but he took to long to come back to us and by then we were over it.
Havana Central is perfect for lunch as a couple or with the family. The food is consistently excellent. I recommend the Classic Cuban Sandwich. The service is always the best. Our server, Ross, was right where he should have been. He was competent and personable.
What can I say? Great food, Great atmosphere Great people. Just don't get the waiter named Joey. Absolutely the worst. I hate to say names but when you ruin a service and there are children involved you should be fired. I asked the manager to change the waiter due to a service problem and they did. He was upset because of the change and I watched him say to the new server I'll bring the desserts. Brownies came out like hockey pucks and he brought them with a smirk on his face. So upset but my children were sitting there so I bit my tongue and paid and left.
The server was not very friendly - I understand it was a late reservation but that’s no excuse for poor service . We sat outside and one of the other patrons was smoking and trying to hide it and no one told her to put it out. And they clearly saw and smelled it . It was just a bad experience and - the drinks tasted like juice .
Our server Joshua was awesome. He took the time to constantly make sure we were comfortable. Joshua knew it was my niece's 30th birthday and he went out of his way to secretly ask me what was her favorite appetizer and he brought it out with a candle. My niece had a extremely memorable night. The food and drinks were out of this world. We definitely recommend it to everyone. You definitely can hear yourself talking even with the nice live music.
I canceled last nite because I made a res. On open table but it didn't show that they had customer appreciation day and only had 20$ menu. It was packed. We still had to wait on line. I canceled with the waitress. Gave her my name and went to Greek rest. Next store. Today open table sent message that I didn't cancel. The waitress taking res. On the line never took my name off. Will call later. Next time. Open table should take note of such a change in menu.
It was great to join my daughter and her boyfriend for dinner. Drinks were delicious, food was good and the atmosphere was festive. We ate outside, but there was a terrific band playing Latin jazz inside. We had a great time and will return soon.
Made a reservation for my mom's birthday, it was five of us in total. The food was just okay, not as good as I had hoped. The tostones were hard and "ugly" as my mom mentioned since they were dark. I ordered ropa vieja and I was the worst one I've ever had at a restaurant since the meat was red of how undercooked it was. I left almost all of it on my plate and only ate the black bean moro which was actually delicious. My mom and her friends enjoyed the shrimp dishes they ordered. The ambiance was loud but not overwhelming. Our server was really sweet and accommodating after I told her that it was my mom's bday celebration. I had mentioned this in my reservation and asked for an acknowledgement via a small cake or birthday song but this never happened until I mentioned it which was disappointing. Needless to say I plan to spend my money elsewhere for future celebrations.
Although my food was on the cool side when it arrived ( I was disappointed in that) the food was very good I'll definitely be back (FYI I didn't ask them to send my food back) also don't take the window seat at the ridge hill mall the sunlight was so strong that I had to move my seat ( there's no window shade)
Food was below average. Ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce and it was watery. Chicken was underseasoned and plate presentation was horrible. Waitress wasn't attentive at all. Staff needs to be trained to service clients better and management should review what comes out of the kitchen
Havana Central is one of my favorite restaurants in the Yonkers area. The service is always great and the food is so delicious! I really love the pernil and the ropa vieja & churrasco as well. I will continue to go to Havana Central for the wonderful Cuban food & great atmosphere!
Everything was great the waiters didn't specify anything about happy hour, she charged us high end liquor and that wasn't included, and we didn't have 20cent to give her and was going to keep the 80 cent without even saying I'll try and bring your change. It's the principle that you would do such a thing other then that's the food was great!!
I came here for my best-friends birthday and we both ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce and the shrimp were under cooked and gooey. I love live music but the music was just a little too loud. Also our waiter was very forgetful and made the overall Havana Central experience a little distorted.
