We’ve eaten at Havana central many times before . But this visit was such a disappointment . The food was ok, not as good as before. But the dessert was terrible . Never had such bad Tres Leches !! And we were so excited about it because it was always so good there . The server told us the bakery they “order” from changed! The churros were bad too.
We were very dissatisfied and disappointed with the food overall.

The staff seems like they were new. They didn’t know what table to put us at, which wasn’t clean. We were on the outdoor-ish terrace with the windows closed but the ceiling fans on. While all the indoor tables were socially distanced, they packed the terrace. With the fan running, the barriers between the tables (which were close) were ineffective. If I wasn’t vaccinated, I would have left.
The wrong food was brought to our table twice, and our food was taken to the wrong table once. We were asked if we wanted fresh because the other patrons touched it. I would have thought that was a given. Been to Havana in NYC many times, this was disappointing.
We are so sorry to read about your latest experience. Certainly these issues should not have happened. Per the NJ Dept of Health if we have partitions up then the 6 foot rule is not enforced. That said we absolutely wish you were sat at more comfortable table and truly apologize that you did not feel safe with the fans. This was our first ever time at Havana Central. It was absolutely outstanding!! The food was amazing!! And our waitress was incredible. Highly recommend!! We will definitely be going back.

Absolutely delicious! My wife and i visited their New York location and was so impressed we had to go to the Jersey location. We was not disappointed the staff food everything DELICIOUS. It was worth the 2 hour drive from Maryland

Havana Central is my favorite restaurant!!! The food is always fabulous, the atmosphere is wonderful with that Caribbean vibe. Since Covid-19 has been part of our new normal, they are doing a wonderful job at maintaining safety and safe distancing. I highly recommend it Havana Central!!!

Restaurant itself was very nice and spacious, social distance was not a problem. Sophia, our waitress was outstanding and attentive. The food was ok, we had The churrascos, they were lacking that Cuban seasoning, but other than that, not bad. Salmon was good, mango sauce, not good. Jerk wings were really good, empanadas were good as well. Overall it was a nice experience and will be returning.
If you’re a picky eater, like myself, skip that mango chutney sauce that they put on their dishes 😉

It was clean and they took our temperature upon arrival. Our server was excellent. Attentive but not intrusive. And the food and drinks as always were good. The sangria with the Leblon was amazing!

My standing ovation goes to the owner, Jeremy & our server, Maiya! The efforts made by staff to keep everything sanitized, clean & safe made my friend & me very comfortable! The food was excellent as always. But Maiya our sever went above & beyond to recommend the perfect meal AND I have to admit, my friend was having a truly rough day & Maiya could tell. She was not only attentive but consoles my friend in a professional but very compassionate way! The owner came to check on us to be sure we were happy!! Not only did we love our meal but my friend left there feeling lifted up! There is something to say about GREAT service!! I will always come back here! Thank you!
Food was great. They are taking Covid very seriously so I felt very safe. Only problem was that the credit card machine was down but luckily I had cash so I didn’t have to have a written form.

Went there the service was horrible. The cleanliness is very bad. When we first got there they didn’t greet us. So I notified the hostess that we had a reservation and she seated us. We ordered some lemonade and the waiter bought us the drinks. And we then ordered another drink. The waiter said that we had to finish the drinks we had at the dinner table in order to bring another one out because they ran out of cups. So i did that he brought another drink and didn’t bother finding the original cup out even thou it was a different drink. When the food comes its cold and old. I could tell it wasn’t fresh and it tasted like crap

It was my friends birthday we arrived on time and we were sat immediately that’s when the problem started. We waited a good 15 minutes before anyone greeted us and when we were greeted we were told to We were being too loud by the manager, but all we were doing was trying to get the attention of the Wait staff. Then we waited another 10 minutes before asking a another server to help us and the server told us I am not your waitress I will get your waitress then another 10 minutes came by before another manager asked how we were doing now we still haven’t received a menu or a drink.
Once we finally ordered the food took a very long time to be delivered I was really upset because I like Havana central, I’ve never had a problem there like this before, it’s sad it has come to this.

Due to Covid restrictions the restaurant was quiet at 1:30p when we arrived. I'm used to this place being crowded and loud as happy hour approaches. I hope the business picks up again!
Our Server was Amazing... The food wasn't that great. The Shrimp in the Empanadas was very mushy. It was my daughter's birthday and she said the beef empanadas were great the chicken ones were bland. My food came out so cold that the garlic Sauce was separating. Not the best experience.
I made reservations for my birthday dinner with my kids and grandson. we waited 10 minutes to be seated. I made it aware to the girls at the front desk that I would need a high chair and they replied with "ok no problem". we were seated and another 10 minutes past and the manager came to our table to tell us in a very loud tone (so everyone heard) to say because of the baby it past there seated capacity. She was rude and not professional at all. we asked if 2 of us can sit in the table behind us. the ONLY reason we decided to stay was because our server was so pleasant and really took the time to calm us down. we decided to stay. I have eaten here before an it was my favorite place to go. when we received our food it was not like it was in the past. never will I return. I work for a company and good customer service is key.

Kitchen seemed a bit slower -guessing because it was Sunday. Spacing was good. Server was exceptionally nice. Food was well seasoned and very tasty. Good value and never disappointed with my meal.
