We take you back to the glorious days of the 1950's in Havana that were spent basking in sunshine alongside the ocean, pools of posh resorts, and on the grounds of the Havana Yacht Club. Enjoy our fresh made Mojitos or one of our specialty cocktails paired with one of our delicious entrées. We are a from-scratch kitchen that sources our produce and seafood from local purveyors.

This was some of the best-tasting food I've ever had. Every dish was amazing. Our server (I failed to get her name) was just terrific -- attentive, funny, engaging, responsive. When you walk in, the smell of cigarette and cigar smoke is pretty strong, even though the reception desk is in the non-smoking section. As a cigar smoker myself, I don't mind it but those for whom the smell of smoke is a problem should probably steer clear of this place. Also, it is a meat-heavy menu...not really meant for vegan dining. They had only two vegan dishes on the menu, and they were out of one of them, leaving the vegan in our group forced to choose the only option available to him -- the pumpkin ravioli. However, the chef did his best to change up other orders as needed (we also had a shrimp allergy, which they took seriously and accommodated.) Cool ambiance, interesting people watching. All in all, for us it was an outstanding experience.

Although it was fairly empty, the service was extremely slow. Even with many empty tables downstairs, they put us upstairs where you could barely hear the music and it was cold. We asked to be reseated downstairs and they wouldn’t. Menu was limited.

We had a great time! The large party next to us standing literally right next to our table made it less enjoyable though. Not the restaurants fault but for a $130 tab and a guy leaning on our booth the whole time it was annoying. The atmosphere was great before they arrived although. Actually perfect for what I was looking for. The mojitos are very nice and the food super flavorful. Entrees were a bit small for my liking but I can understand as it is fresh ingredients. I will be back but hopefully no 15 tops will be right next to me lol. The waitress did a good job considering she had to keep asking them to move so she could serve properly. The theme of the place is fantastic as well though. Perfect for a special occasion assuming it’s a quieter night.

Had a wonderful birthday dinner. The drinks and short ribs were AMAZING and loved having cards on the table to play with while we waited for our food. They even provided a complementary dessert for my birthday. Overall loved the experience. Only complaint is the cigar smoke smell in the dining room.

I had not been to Havana 59 for a couple years. I always love their sea bass but unfortunately they had already 86’ed the bass. (Busy Thursday night). The waiter recommended the scallops and now I have another favorite! The reservations were ready when we arrived and the service and food was incredible. Business dinner with associates from San Franscisco and Chicago - everyone loved Havana 59!

The food and drinks were fantastic. They even threw in free desserts unprompted because they believed our food had taken longer than it should have because of a party upstairs. We hadn't even noticed! We'll definitely return soon.

Arrived with a reservation for a party of 9. Waited 20 minutes to be seated. Seated at 2 tables rather than 3 (apparently we were waiting for the 3rd table to empty), which was quite snug. The 2 tables had been available the whole time we were waiting. Waiter was helpful and polite. We waited almost an hour for our food. 1 person did not even receive theirs. The waiter said it would be out soon. When the rest of us were almost finished he told the manager to cancel his dish. He was told it would just be a few minutes. Waited another 10 minutes and again told the waiter to cancel the dish. The manager came over and was very apologetic but it was just too late. Luckily the entrees are hearty in portions so we shared with our hungry friend. Manager offered some free desserts. When the bills (split into 3 parties) came they were incorrectly split, although they each had a deduction of some sort on it. Had to wait more to fix the bill issue. Overall - the food was awesome; the staff were very pleasant but the mess-up really brought down the evening. Also, because we were in there so long (not by choice) some of us were really having problems with the smoke that drifted over from the bar - itchy, runny eyes, coughing, etc.

I'd go back for the food, but would hesitate after the evening's fiasco.

This restaurant is consistently fantastic. Amazing food - all 6 of us got something different and everyone LOVED their meal. The pork taste of havana and the chicken empanadas were amazing, as were the short ribs. The plantain nachos are my favorite appetizer! The service was absolutely terrific. Our waitress was friendly and food was served timely and fresh and hot. I LOVE this restaurant!

I used to consider the food here as great, but I was greatly disappointed by my recent dining experience. The Paella for 2 was tasteless. There did not appear to be any evidence of Chorizo or chicken, and very few mussels or shrimp. Overall, very unlike a decent paella. Mojitos were okay, but not outstanding. Perhaps the current street work has driven away the previous good cooks and bartenders???
