Havana 1957 South Beach - Breakwater

The waitress seemed not too interested in working. Everything was cold when it hit the table.

My food came out about 10 minutes after my boyfriends and was only sub par. Spent almost $100 for 2 mediocre entrees and 2 small drinks. Asked about a coupon on their website and the server grabbed my phone, which includes my wallet, and walked away with it. Then told me the coupon didn't apply to that location even though it was listed for all their locations.

Vacation in Miami Beach. Food was good, I am Cuban so I’d say it was authentic Cuban cuisine. Our waiter Javier was so professional and very charismatic. We dined outdoors and everything was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

Great location. Service was lacking in everything sense of the word. Our waiter Dennis only suggested the most expensive items on the menu. He disappeared for 30 minutes between our appetizer and entree. We saw other guests looking around trying to get service.

Busy night. Food was good but not “great”. Still worth going for ambiance and drinks. Had a great time.

Great spot for people watching on South Beach. We sat outside for lunch and enjoyed the beach vibe. The food was good and portions were large.

Great Cuban food!

Twice, I’ve booked through Open Table; 1 year wedding anniversary and Wife’s birthday. When asked special occasion, I’ve stated both on Open Table And both times neither was acknowledged by the restaurant.

Was visiting from San Antonio. We wanted Cuban without leaving the beach. This place was rated high. Just like most restaurants, Covid has changed everything. I give an A for stating open, a B- on food. Noise is average South Beach area.

The food was amazing the Mojitos are official, and their ropa vieja is heaven . Am a loyal fan , I’ll be by every time I visit Miami .

Food was good, out of control location secondary to spring break 10 feet away.

Smoking is allowed and even encouraged on the terrace with a server walking among the tables selling cigarettes to diners. As someone from the NYC area where smoking is illegal within ten feet of a building entrance I was a bit taken aback and it ruined our already mediocre meal.

The menu offered a lot of options. My red sangria was very good! My husband's mojito was also very good. I ordered the sampler plate which had 3 different main courses, plus rice / beans / plantains. I loved the house special chicken but didn't care for the ropa vieja or the pork dish. The beans were very good. My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich, which he liked very much. We also ordered the Yucca fries as an appetizer, which were different and tasty. We didn't have coffee or dessert.

The service was good, we did not feel rushed. Nice atmosphere of people-watching on Ocean Ave / South Beach.

Great food, great drinks, and great staff. It's the perfect spot for people watching right in the heart of the Art Deco area of South Beach. The staff were accommodating to our dinner requets and the food was outstanding- love the Cuban flare. We'll definitely be back.

The food and service was exceptional! Sit outside is a must right in south beach to get the feeling of the area. So fun would definitely return!

Melt in your mouth slow roasted pork, with great black beans and rice. Friendly waiter who was attentive.

Music so loud it was impossible to have a conversation. We started outside and moved inside. No real difference. The food was good, but due to the noise we will not return

Had analog fun last night

Food good, pricy, but you are paying for south beach experience. Authentic Cuban for sure, delicious and many options. The hustler magician was funny but managed to get another $40 out of us - not sure if he was part of the restaurant or not but either way as much fun as he was it was a little extra. But again, he may have just been a street hustler - restaurant was good overall.

We ate inside where it's air conditioned, outside on the street was too crazy! Noisy inside but easy to converse without raising our voices. This is definitely more upscale than many restaurants on the street and we could tell as we walked up to it. GREAT sangria, really good selection of food and the waitress was very helpful in pointing us the right way with our apps and entrees. Will definitely return!

We sat outside while it was raining. It was fantastic. They have large umbrellas that kept us dry. Food was great! Service was good as well. We would eat there again.

Enjoyed are food. Portions were good but a little pricey. Guess your paying for South Beach atmosphere. Missed getting breag before meal and hot sauce like I've had at many other cuban restaurants . I would still go again though next time I'm in south beach!
