Service is spotty. Nobody attended to table for at least 10 minutes. Another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Two starter courses ordered...only one came before the main course, which took another half hour. The gumbo was barely warm. No "let me check with the kitchen", no "very sorry for the delay", no apologies of any kind. The place was not even half full. The chef did visit the table, however. Maybe she should have been in the kitchen making sure the orders get filled??

Excellent food and service. Enjoyed the experience and will return. Was there on a Sunday for Samara's southern creations. Can't say enough good things about it.

The Food was delicious. Catfish and Grits with the Creole Sauce delicious! Sweet Potato Bar delicious…… I ate all of my food. You can share the sweet potato bar it’s a nice size.

I have been wanting to try this place for months. Let me say that I was not disappointed. The food, drinks and service were amazing. The chef came to our table and we had a good conversation. I will definitely be back

Our server and hostess were very knowledgeable about the menu. Both were spot-on regarding the food and drinks. We were attending an event at the Paramount so my husband and I did not want to have any leftovers so we split the lamb chops between us and it was absolutely perfect. Meat was flavorful and tender and the Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes were delicious. We had the devil eggs and chicken skins as appetizers (excellent as well) . We were not disappointed about anything. It was a treat for the chef to bring the food and have conversation with the patrons. I think that is an excellent customer service treat. This is truly a hidden gem! I will be letting friends and family know!

The customer service was outstanding ad the food was so delicious. We tried several dishes that included waffles, gumbo, and shrimp and grits. I loved the hibiscus mocktail; it was so refreshing. I will definitely return.

The food was a 10 out of 10. I went with my son on Sunday and it was amazing. The only issue I had was it was a little cold but it could have just been where we were seated so I could have just asked to be moved. The food was amazing, I had the fish and grits, best catfish I’ve ever had with the perfect amount of seasoning and fried just perfect. The grits were amazing as well! My son had the chicken and waffles that had the biggest piece of chicken we’ve ever seen with a chicken and waffle meal so he was already impressed and loved the way the chicken was seasoned. We shared the cornbread griddle which was so good, the drinks were great also. My son’s only complaint was the glass of lemonade was skinny making it a smaller amount. No real complaints at all though and we are definitely coming back. I almost forgot we also bought the gumbo pot pie to go, since we live about an hour away I wasn’t sure if I should get it but they actually made it a take an bake which worked out perfect!

Food was excellent and the service was attentive. They were very busy so not as attentive as maybe they should have been but very nice. I like the idea of the Chef visiting the tables to see how people were enjoying their meals. Very nice touch

Great food, great ambiance! Very grown and sexy vibes. The chef even came out to talk with us about our experience. Loved it!
