The noise level is pretty loud, but to be expected with a lot of kids. The music was fun, the ambiance was great. Our servers were really good, but I think they were short staffed, so a little overwhelmed. The food was good. I had the grilled shrimp tortellini and it was delicious. The little skull chocolate birthday cake was a treat. Our group enjoyed it.

Love the decor and experience of the place. The ambiance and atmosphere are great for the horror lover! The violin player was so good! The service was really good. The food, not so much. My friend and I had burgers with fries. The burger was okay. The fries seemed like they had been under the heat lamp since lunch….we went for dinner. The fried pickles were excellent tho!

Overall there is no “experience “ if you are looking for that. It is indeed decorated like Halloween inside but you will not encounter wait staff dressed up as characters. Service was as good as could be expected with someone so new they didn’t have answers to any questions about menu. Food was awful like it’s obviously frozen and been in freezer for years. Husband and son like the beef on burger but not the burger as a whole. Wine was tasty that was it. Went for a birthday expecting a super fun experience but don’t they say Thursday is a normal day and their weekend is when they have more - then duh just open on weekends. Under new management but you can tell it’s failing. Overall very disappointing experience. Don’t be fooled because it looks cool inside . We will not return.

We had a wonderful time in the Great Hall and in the Haunted Castle Cafe generally. The venue was atmospheric, the servers were attentive, and the food and drinks were really good. I just wish the person doing magic tricks had come to our table. Ah well, next time.

Great concept idea! Too bad you had good people on staff but given ZERO to NONE training! "D" our server is the only reason this place gets any stars! Great personality & potential being wasted in a restaurant wanna be. Nothing went right! Got our entrees, then salads, our original drinks around mid meal & our appetizers right before we were given a check. No dessert even though when I made reservation I told them it was my wife's birthday & to surprise her w/ something ( that I offered to pay for). Worst part was the "Manager/Chef" had ZERO problem throwing everybody on his staff under the bus! He took NO responsibility in anything! When I questioned why food was so bland he & I quote "We don't like to use seasoning in case somebody dining doesn't like salt or pepper"...WHAT???? He did make SURE we were aware of his 16 yrs of experience! I thought it was his 1st time to ever step into a restaurant, let alone manage it! Advice to staff....GET OIT!!! There is a living to be made in this business w/ proper training. Haunted House Cafe could care less about any of yll! What was meant as a nice dinner for my wonderful wife's birthday turned into a JOKE! The owners/ managers should be ashamed! Great idea if ANYONE there had one ounce of knowledge of this industry! Yes, I left our server "D" a 30% tip before anyone questions it! Thank you for trying D! Unfortunately, you are wasting your time & potential in this...cough...restaurant!!!!! Stuart & Cindy
