   We had an excellent first (but not last!) evening at Hathorne. Our server Lily was responsive, friendly, and helped great the exact date night experience we hoped for. A creative menu of classic favorites, plus some unexpected new ideas and flavors. Highly recommend the Yuzu compressed watermelon salad, and Tempura Okra small plates.

   Great food and vibe here. We ate here before going to Actors Bridge at the Darkhorse theater two blocks away. Easy and delicious! Relaxed delicious cocktails and food. We had an Old Fashioned and a Manhattan (I prefer it with bourbon) but both were good. I am a vegetarian and we had lots of choices in the small plates. We had the summer salad, frites, goat cheese, golden beets and burrata. All were delicious! Reasonably priced dinner- you get 15% off if you’re going to the Darkhorse Theater. We can’t wait until next time!

   Ordered the Bream (it's a white fish). It was wonderful! Served with cucumbers and dill in a consumme, which was great because it kept the fish moist. My husband had the steak, and it was tender and cooked perfectly to order. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals and their cocktails. Also loved the bread we ordered as an appetizer. Kudos to Hathorne. We will be back!

   Whenever we're home in Nashville (and we travel about 6 months of the year), I find some reason to visit Hathorne, if only to take advantage of the Happy Hour! You can't beat $10 cocktails in this day and age, and they are so tasty and smooth. We always get the crispy goat cheese, as well as several other small plates (to share - or not), and then share a large plate. My husband has a big appetite, but he graciously agrees to share a big plate with me, and I find that it then is just the perfect amount. Every single time we've been here, we're impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the very rapid service from both the bar and kitchen. Well done y'all!

   Emily, our waitress, was amazing. Very knowledgeable and great service and personality. Ethan, at the bar, was amazing, as well! And the owner is so knowledgeable and great service. The ambiance is great! The food is so fresh! You must try!
