We sat outside in front of Macy’s entrance side, and the orders came out all wrong. Our food went to another table, and theirs came to ours. We asked for certain drinks and they didn’t come until we had to remind them twice. When we were having a serious conversation, the servers kept coming up and interrupted us, even though we were in middle of talking. The food is great but the service needs to improve
Great experience even given COVID
Food was impeccable as always. Service lacked even though there were only 4 tables
The DineLA menu was fantastic plus I ordered the ribs and we had 1 cocktail. It was all amazing but with a 20% tip it was a bit pricey for 2 people.
This place was pretty good. I loved the Sir Isaac cocktail and all of the food was great! My favorite was the thigh and onion
Had a great time. Wasn’t sure about the setting at first but the service was great and the bartender, James was awesome! Nice selection of Japanese whisky. The food was also really good. Highly rec the oysters and Nikka from the Barrel, neat.
Wonderful place, quickly becoming a regular
Food, drinks, service, covid precautions 10/10!!!
I know you’re here for the Yakitori, but the Agedashi tofu is divine and a must try!
Poor food. Bland, tasteless and not exciting.
Small portions and not tasty enough for the price.
I frequent many restaurants at all price points but for our dinner value was not on the menu. Extremely small portions although tasty, left me hungry after dinner.
This was a date night and unfortunately failed at s on ambiance and food faire.
Trying to be positive about the experience but quite unsatisfying.
This is ALWAYS my go to spot when I’m in DTLA! Best food ever!!
Closes early and pricey
Amazing place. Food is outstanding
Really nice place I highly recommend the take on Japanese food is delicious and innovative
Pretty good food
I didn't think the food was worth the money TBH I've had better Yakitori for a cheaper price. Often yakitori comes with 2 skuer but they this place only offers 1 for the price of 2. doesn't make sense to me. Service was good servers were super nice and friendly. If you haven't had Yakitori before I wouldn't recommend this place to be your first. It wasn't like they offered anything special or out of the ordinary. Not worth.
The food is ALWAYS on point! I stop in every chance I get! I wish they had more mini locations because when I say EVERYTHING IS AMAZING!!!!!
Even with the outdoor only restrictions it was a great meal
Most tables have shade and they also will serve other shaded tables in the courtyard
Service was exceptional and helpful
All service staff have masks and visors so you feel safe
Food was so good and creative and fun .... we over ordered and walked away quite full
I love the presentation of all the dishes - adds to the ambience
Great service and the food is AMAZING!!!!!
Excellent food & drinks, will be back!
The food was beautifully presented, and delicious!! The oysters are the best🖤
Food was amazing and our server was great! Docking points off for not being alerted about last call.
Oysters was the best. The server are really nice and understanding. The food was just ok. Not the best.
Great experience overall
Amazing food and service. Open space, great music. Definitely my new favorite spot
Music was awesome, food was amazing. Overall experience was dope.
Everything was good, food, service etc.
Nice venue. A little noisy-it was hard for our waiter to take our order when the bartender used the blender to make a drink.
Wait staff was not that knowledgeable of the menu but we were fine.
Nice birthday comp dessert.
Will come back since there are not many yakitori restaurants near us.
Had lunch at Hatch. Overall, food and service were great. All the skewers were great except for the beef tongue. The cut is a bit diff than what I was expecting. More like a chunk of rib eye. But other than that, loved all the items. Will be back!
We have been to many izakaya restaurants and were excited to try Hatch as it is in the neighborhood. Disappointing to say the least. Couple of good dishes - Black karrage and black rice was it. Rest was average, small portions (even for izakaya) and way overpriced. Waiter forgot to put our order in twice so we waited long time then charged us for dish we ordered but never received. Overall it’s not worth the money. Way better authentic izakaya places in South Bay than here.
Slow service, forgot multiple orders. Ambiance was nice and food that came out were good.
Fantastic and interesting plates. Very friendly service.
I didn’t expect too much because I’m Japanese but it was actually awesome!
I told our server that I was allergic to oysters and to not bring them out and they still did. The servers also couldn’t remember what they brought out, forgot a few items, were rude and interrupted randomly, and didn’t show up when needed. When I’m paying $125 for a meal (not including our drinks), I kind of expect service to be top notch. The more serious note was that they brought out items I am deathly allergic to. They also didn’t offer any substitute items for allergies. All in all, I love the food, the ambiance was great, but the service is severely lacking and the food is overpriced for what you get.
Hatch was incredible! I chose Hatch for my college graduation dinner and could not be more satisfied. All of the food we ordered was amazing and we couldn’t pick which one was our favorite! The waiters were very informative and got us our food quickly. It is a nice restaurant but not stuffy, if you know what I mean. I highly recommend!
Had a really good time here, although it was more expensive than we were expecting. $260 (including tax and tip) for three people! They bring you an assortment of cool glasses to choose from/drink from, if you order the sake.
Outstanding and fun food. Excellent service.
Fabulous service and delicious food. We got a total of 11 dishes and nothing disappointed.
The service was very good during our lunch hour visit. The food was excellant. The avocado toast was my favorite! Hatch will be a regular.
