Hatch has done a great job of allocating outdoor space in the open area of the mall. the food is outstanding, the staff is great
Fantastic anniversary lunch on a Friday late afternoon! Food was delicious — highlights were hamachi, corn tempura, and variety of skewers esp the green onion chicken thigh! Drinks were unique and strong — loved the various high balls. Service by Fabian was excellent and Covid 19 efforts were noticed. Outdoor seating isn’t fancy but enjoyed people watching and was comfortable. I bet it’s super cute at night with all the lights! Park in The Bloc for validates rates.
This is by far the most genuine, nice caring staff. The service is excellent and the food is fantastic. I also really love the drinks, innovative and tasty.
Great small bites with lots of flavor at affordable pricing.
The best food experience
The skirt steak was awesome, we ordered two plus the chicken and plum-ok, the hamachi-great!, the chicken meatball-tasty but didn't need the egg yolk sauce and the bacon wrapped asparagus--which was so flavorful. Plus If you like Japanese whiskey this will be an oasis for you. And if you're like me and love a well made highball then I'd say you're almost as perfect as me
Always love Hatch - great food and very friendly service. The large outdoor dining area felt as safe as one can be during Covid. Will definitely return soon.
Great Food, Great crowd, great employees
Excellent food! In somewhat of an odd location, felt like an upscale food court in an outdoor mall, but you'll quickly forget where you are and be immersed in the amazing yakatori.
Perfect open-air dining for late night food and drinks. It was easy and comfortable. We’re happy to stumble on this, arrived at 10:30pm and stayed until 1am. Perfect location to chill and hangout with friends and a safe and fun area.
This place is BOMB. The food was really really good, I have no complaints. The staff was friendly and very helpful. This was my first time coming here and they gave great recommendations. I would 100% come back to this restaurant.
Loved loved the food! Cute little Japanese tapas style food. It was decently priced as well. Service a little slow because of being busy, but I would totally recommend this place!
Great experience! Food was flavorful, great variety of choices. Service was efficient and friendly. Very safe experience - would go again!
We celebrated a birthday and wedding anniversary. Service was great as always. The food was delicious and I enjoyed the drinks. We had so much fun and our servers really made our night special.
It was a pleasurable experience overall. The service was prompt and fast.
With all that’s goin on they’re making due and trying their best to keep it an enjoyable experience. Good efforts!
Comida deliciosa y concepto muy original. Cuando regrese a Los Ángeles, regresaré y además lo recomendaré a amigos.
Outdoor set-up at The Bloc, small outdoor area but spread out nicely. Felt pretty clean and safe eating there. It's nice to have a yakitori option in DTLA, and the food is decent. I liked the beef tongue.
outside seating was too noisy
food was not to our expectations
yakidori was too burnt
black rice had no taste with ginger sauce
fried corn was too greasy
pictures don't always tell the truth
We sat outside in front of Macy’s entrance side, and the orders came out all wrong. Our food went to another table, and theirs came to ours. We asked for certain drinks and they didn’t come until we had to remind them twice. When we were having a serious conversation, the servers kept coming up and interrupted us, even though we were in middle of talking. The food is great but the service needs to improve
Great experience even given COVID
Food was impeccable as always. Service lacked even though there were only 4 tables
Super cool spot! Unique food and fantastic service. Thanks!
The DineLA menu was fantastic plus I ordered the ribs and we had 1 cocktail. It was all amazing but with a 20% tip it was a bit pricey for 2 people.
This place was pretty good. I loved the Sir Isaac cocktail and all of the food was great! My favorite was the thigh and onion
Had a great time. Wasn’t sure about the setting at first but the service was great and the bartender, James was awesome! Nice selection of Japanese whisky. The food was also really good. Highly rec the oysters and Nikka from the Barrel, neat.
Wonderful place, quickly becoming a regular
Food, drinks, service, covid precautions 10/10!!!
I know you’re here for the Yakitori, but the Agedashi tofu is divine and a must try!
Poor food. Bland, tasteless and not exciting.
Small portions and not tasty enough for the price.
I frequent many restaurants at all price points but for our dinner value was not on the menu. Extremely small portions although tasty, left me hungry after dinner.
This was a date night and unfortunately failed at s on ambiance and food faire.
Trying to be positive about the experience but quite unsatisfying.
This is ALWAYS my go to spot when I’m in DTLA! Best food ever!!
Closes early and pricey
Amazing place. Food is outstanding
Really nice place I highly recommend the take on Japanese food is delicious and innovative
Pretty good food
Small portions and overpriced.
I didn't think the food was worth the money TBH I've had better Yakitori for a cheaper price. Often yakitori comes with 2 skuer but they this place only offers 1 for the price of 2. doesn't make sense to me. Service was good servers were super nice and friendly. If you haven't had Yakitori before I wouldn't recommend this place to be your first. It wasn't like they offered anything special or out of the ordinary. Not worth.
The food is ALWAYS on point! I stop in every chance I get! I wish they had more mini locations because when I say EVERYTHING IS AMAZING!!!!!
