Ken (General Manager) was outsanding. The food and service was impeccable.
amazing food, stellar service, thoughtful layout in covid times. one could see just how much thought the restaurant put into every step of the dining experience. I can't wait to attend again.
Perfect in every way. Well deserved michelin restaurant.
The omakase was incredible and the service was outstanding.
They made us a special menu because it was our anniversary.
Keep on the good work
I was not disappointed in any aspect of my experience. It was absolutely incredible. Ken was our server and made the night relaxing, pleasant, and memorable. I've personally never ever experienced this level of attention, service, and care. I recommend Hashiri to everyone who wants a special night out.
Sommelier was excellent. Maybe the best sushi restaurant in the bay area.
Excellent service and really good Japanese food experience
Wine pairing is not worth it. The pour is minimal and the actual bottle isn't that great anyways. Food was nicely presented, and tastes fine.
Expect to pay more than $200pp BUT it's worth it. Keep that reservation. This is a informative, feast for your eye, meal that your soul will thank you for. Kaiseki meals are meant to stimulate all senses: smell, taste, and view of the season. Kaiseki meals are not common and its a treat if you get to experience one. Every dish I ate made my palette sing inside and quietly screamed for more- Oishī. Service is impeccable. Guarantee to feel like loyalty in this humble and unique outdoor dining for at least 1.5hrs. Ken-san, thank you for your exemplary service. You made my week. Arigatōgozaimashita
With COVID, I was interested in seeing how hashiri adapted, and has done nothing but delight.
Awesome experience even in Covid times.
Amazing igloo dining experience ! Look forward to gojng monthly !!!
Dining pandemic-style (outdoors), Hashiri still manages to make it a very enjoyable experience! Sake selection amazing, service spectacular. No complaints!
Wonderful!
Excellent. Superb in every way!
Great tasting food! Definitely an experience to remember. Location and outside nuances added to the noise but it’s nothing the restaurant can really control, but everything else was superb!
Great food, amazing service. Felt very safe thanks to social distancing guidelines and clean and sanitizing procedures. I even dropped my mask on the floor and they provided me with a disposable one.
Oddly my least favorite part of the courses were not sushi. So I was a bit disappointed considering the price I paid. The wagyu beef was amazing. Overall good experience and great service.
Masaaki and Ken provided us an excellent warm service ;)
Fantastic experience for my special occasion.
The bubble house experience was very nice. All my friends commented about the nice looking atmosphere with the huge bubble like tents for outdoor dining and wishing that they had a similar one in their town.
The Kaiseki dinner was done properly with a little American touch added, like instead of Sake, you could drink Champagne and wines. We had the following dishes.
*Amuse-bouche: Caviar and Toro were served on top of grated Nagaimo on a spoon.
*Zensai: Salmon roe, Chrysanthemum petal Chawanmushi; Sea urchin, eggplant Dengaku.
*Hassun: Kabocha squash Yuzu miso ae; Botan prawn momiji jyoyu; Grilled duck breast; Baby portobello, pearl onion amazu zuke; Black mission fig goma dare.
*Yakimono: A5 Hokkaido Wagyu, seasonal vegetables.
*Omakase Nigiri & Shime: 8pc Edomae nigiri sushi, Akadashi miso soup
*Kanmi: Macha ice cream monaka with berries.
*To take home: Daifuku man Jyu
We enjoyed our dinner and the bubble house but next time we would like to try the inside seating when it becomes available.
We had a wonderful experience all-around and really loved our host, Shige <3
Anniversary
Disappointing. Rats running on the street next to the tables. The tomato soup and fees were amazing, the rest was mediocre at best.
My experience was incredible and the Somalier was our server as well. Customer service was the best I’ve experienced and to add icing on the cake the Somalier would recount his own experiences and guidance when pairing sake. I would recommend 2-3 Michelin stars because they hold a very high Standard much like others with the similar honors.
We went in with very high expectations, and the folks at Hashiri exceeded them all, by a mile!!! The whole experience was spectacular. The food was beyond special and unique, and the service was exceptional.
College Buddy’s Birthday...
Wow wow wow!!!
Seriously the best kaiseki omakase experience. Definitely my best meal of 2020 so far.
Service was perfect and fish was flown in that day from Japan. How do you top that?!?
Will surely be back...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Brilliant food. Brilliant service.
Interesting food, perfectly prepared, excellent Sakes, absolutely perfect service. That the kind of kitchen is not my favourite taste is not the fault of the restaurant - for traditional japanese food lovers this is the perfect location.
Food is great. Service is great and prompt. The staff is nice and the food is both innovative and fresh! It was a bit hard to find a clean parking spot ( but then this is quite common in SF), but overall it was a very nice experience !!
Wonderful service and ambience. Enjoyed the presentation of the food very much. A bit pricey, but well worth it for the experience. Vegetarians -- if you make prearrangements -- are well served here as well.
Every single piece of nigiri was from a different part of Japan. Amazing chef with decades of experience and great service.
Spectacular isn’t a good enough word to describe this place. It was an experience and such a special evening. No detail was spared and everything was executed perfectly. We loved it!
Dined with a client and sat at the sushi counter. With some sake our bill exceeded $1,000 which is wildly expensive. Generally, each dish was quite good with one exception that really missed. The nigiri sushi was exceptional. The service was impeccable and they never missed a thing.
I am rating it 4 star because I think the prices are a bit high, for example, we added a tuna hand roll that cost $25 each and they are tiny. They also add a 20% gratuity which they deserved but I like to decide for myself.
Great service, nice ambiance and good food make this a worthwhile experience. Just know you are paying about 20/30% more than I think its worth.
We loved it. Very good service, the food great. The best; two types of tasting menu.
For a Michelin one star restaurant this place is totally not worth, they use cheap ingredients, also the chef is not friendly, service is pretty good but for this price I wouldn’t recommend to any friends
Amazing omakase Kaiseki experience. Pricey but you get what you pay for!
Very pleasant
Outstanding and unique dining experience. If you can afford the kaiseki it's well worth the extra charge.
I went to Hashiri with my partner to celebrate my birthday. The food was absolutely amazing, for sure one of the best Japanese food I’ve ever tried. However, our dining experience was very poor. There were four guests in the restaurant started drinking and shouting like they were in a pub or a nightclub, and that was really annoying, making our stay a nightmare until the end. In such a place like this, the value is not only for the food, but also the experience, and this was completely ruined.
In my opinion, people from the place should do something to avoid these kind of situations.
The service was really good, and the staff apologised many times about this, which it was appreciated.
I can understand what happened was only this time, but I wouldn’t recommend this place after my stay.
Probably the best dining experience I've had in my life. It's pricey but truly a special experience and worth every penny!
One of the best restaurants in SF and definitely the best Japanese restaurants in SF
