We had Sunday lunch here. The food was absolutely delicious. One of the best roasts we’ve had in a long time. Fresh, flavourful and a generous serving. I had the beef and my husband had the chicken. Sometimes a roast can be stodgy but this was very tasty. The menu was easy to choose from and the staff were very attentive, especially Roxy. Good choice of wine at a reasonable price. Apart from another table we were the only ones in there which was a shame as it lacked atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and relaxing. A great addition to Westbourne.

The service was poor, I think more training is needed. People who arrived after us received their drinks and had their food order taken before us. When our bottle of rose finally arrived, the waitress didn’t ask if we’d like to taste it - just poured it, and put a glass of ice on the table “just in case”, she said. Turned out we really did need it as it was room temperature - not what you want on a warm summer evening and it wasn’t a cheap one, so such a shame to have to water it down. The menu is very small and not very inspiring. The starters were good, we both had the cutlets for our mains which were very tender but the sauce was not great. Probably wouldn’t go again unless the menu improves.

Have been here twice of an evening now and not very good value for money I’m afraid. Would like to try coming for a coffee and snack or Sunday lunch to see if I feel the same!

Harvey’s is a great new addition to Westbourne. A beautifully designed restaurant which creates a lovely place to eat. I’ve now been twice and the food is good but not exceptional for such a focussed menu.

From start to finish our evening at Harvey’s was Excellent Meeting the chef …. Excellent Staff …. Excellent Food and service…Excellent A refreshing addition to the food offerings in Westbourne Book now !

We visited Harveys for the first time and found it to be very nice the staff were very helpful and the food was well prepared but to generous for two 80+ year olds. It is a place that we could return to but for one thing and that is the position of the toilet which is down a quite steep stairway which renders it impossible for my wife to negotiate so this unfortunately will be our one and only time we will not return but we wish them all the best.

Lack of ambience, more cafe than fine dining. Entree portions were less than adequate, sadly my lamb cutlets were overcooked as were the potatoes, average vegetable's which required seasonings….Disappointed, I had high hopes.

As you enter the restaurant you are greeted by someone behind the bar and either taken to your table or the outdoor space for drinks. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed feel and is tastefully decorated. The outdoor space is small and enchanting. All the waitresses need to study the wine list to familiarise themselves with the offerings and learn to open the wine at the table after presenting the customer with their chosen bottle. The food was absolutely outstanding. Starters were excellent but the roast beef lunch was the best we have been served, ever. The breakfast and lunch menus are varied and are a bit different to the norm. Will be giving them a try soon. Definitely recommend you visit Harveys.

Having only been open for a few days not everything was running smoothly. However, the food and service were excellent. We felt it was good value for money and would visit again.

Restaurant has only just opened so expected some teething issues. Staff friendly and food really tasty. Let down on this occasion by service which was slow and lacking knowledge. If you only have a few starters and mains, waiting staff need to know what’s in them, what they come with etc. Not too much to ask so hope some staff training might solve this. Will try again once settled.
