Harvey @ The Williamsburg Hotel
The setting is well done and food is really good. Only issue: the team is clearly understaffed and service suffers from it despite the best effort of the staff...It was very slow to get the food out of the kitchen and table services was way too light for a restaurant of this standing.
We attended Williamsburg Hotel for high tea as a group of 8. The manager was very hands on assisting in the slight issues that came up. The service of the bartender and waiter was very customer service oriented more so given that it is located in a hotel and they mainly serve hotel guests. Ideally would have liked more of a balance of savory to sweet items but everything was delicious. The teas were miraculous and can’t wait to look up where they’re from. I am definitely coming back on more friend dates.
Awesome girls date for high tea I would absolutely return for a date night as well
Our reservation was for 5:00; we were planning to have High Tea (which ended at 6:00). We got there and were told high tea was over. We waited 30 minutes for the drinks we ordered to arrive at our table, and were finally allowed to order food at 6:00. While the food and drinks were delicious, the wait was very long for anything to arrive at our table.
Great atmosphere, awesome service and amazing food and tea. Jenti was great and so attentive. I will be going again and next time sooner cause I missed the live jazz music that being playing in the lounge area. Most definitely recommend the Harvey to my friends.
Went with a friend for high tea I had a travel zoo which was a great value. The tea pots & cups are really cute & colorful. They had live jazz music playing which is a bonus. Service was okay I asked for milk & honey for my tea & server said be right back but never brought.
The room is nice, the tea is good in charming pots and cups. The food served with the tea was to heavily skewed to sweet for us. We would have enjoyed more canapes/tea sandwiches and 1 tier of sweets. But that’s our taste. If you have a sweet tooth it’s perfect. It’s a good weekend afternoon date.
Our high tea was well presented and food was good quality. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, sandwiches and pastries are small but add to a good amount so go with an appetite. If you are not hungry, all those options also come a la carte. Tea is served in colorful individual teapots, very charming!
I recommend delicious food 👌🏻
Took our daughter here for high tea for her 6th birthday. A bit too hip for a little kid, so that’s on us. But the service was professional, sweet and genuine and the food was yummy. Compared to other high tea places in the city, the price was good for the quality and amount of food they serve. We were there around 5pm and they let us order from the bar menu too, which was a very tasty. The high tea is about 80% sweet to 20% savory, so we were glad to have bar menu items (chicken croquettes, antipasti and fries were esp yummy) to choose from, as well. Our server was new and so cute and nice that I found her afterward to thank her. They also put a candle in a cake and sang happy bday to our kid, when I bet that’s not the norm there! The space is beautiful. On this particular Friday night, 5pm was quiet (though many more were in the bar area) so it did feel a little empty. We didn’t mind though and they let us spread out. I don’t go into Williamsburg often (this place is not super accessible by train) and I sometimes assume there will be attitude. Not here! Probably one benefit of being in a hotel where they are used to all kinds of people and families.
Lunch menu is really a brunch / breakfast menu not many options but the food tasted great !!!
Had afternoon tea! Nice jazz band added to the experience! Service was slow. We had to ask for our champagne three times. Food was lovely and great choice of organic teas. Would go back for sure!
Took a friend from out of town for afternoon tea and it was fabulous! Definitely would recommend for a fun afternoon with great tea and snacks
Really enjoyed the food. The. Portions were on the small size
The ambience was great-- I went around 3pm and there was a wonderful jazz quartet playing that really complemented the afternoon tea vibe. The tea options were also great. The finger sandwiches and sweets were ok, and I don't know if I would pay the original price for it, but with the TravelZoo voucher, it was worth the value.
It was my birthday celebration with my girl friends . It was the perfect place to go for some good drinks and healthy eats ! The decor was so cool and really nice staff too!
Overall would recommend this place to everyone !
Outstanding restaurant food with the decor and cool vibe to match
A great place for dinner with great service and excellent food. The interior of the restaurant is very nice, friendly and fresh. The have a good selection of food, drinks and deserts with prices that are reasonable and gives a lot of value for money. I can really recommend this place for business and pleasure.
Went to Williamsburg Hotel for high tea. The tea and food were first rate, the service was terrible. I thought our server might be on something, my partner thought she was just distracted. Regardless of the poor service, I would return to this restaurant for a Sunday brunch, the food was that good.
Great second visit doing tea time! Delicious teas, yum champagne & great food along with French toast appetizer!
Burger was excellent, nice loungey atmosphere with capacious booth for a big group. Also bonus for being in the swanky Williamsburg Hotel. Great experience would totally come back for the burger any time.
Amazing - the service and the atmosphere were excellent!
Hi tea is absolutely lovely with the best and most accommodating service.
Waitress totally uninterested in us. Cocktail menu lacking. When asked waitress if bartender could make a fresh Margarita and are they good she blankly looked at me and said we have a margarita. Food was ok. Octopus appetizer was very good. Service really stinks.
Beautiful space, high quality ingredients, great drinks. They had a three piece band playing during brunch as well.
Lovely tea with interesting selection and great tea cups and pot. Cream filled puffs were especially good.
Lovely afternoon tea service. Great value and live music!
On this opentable website, it says this restaurant has the restaurant week menu for Sunday, I even reserved on this website, however, when I get there, they told me that they don't do restaurant menu on Sunday.
A fantastic place with great food, drinks and music. Has outdoor seating and a rooftop bar as well as live music. Service was great with constant attention and super friendly attitude. Modern menu with a lot of different to choose amongst.
Service was very slow !
Loved the hotel and ambiance, however High Tea was not up to par, I used a coupon so it was tolerable
Beautiful hotel , friendly staff , drinks were amazing !
Service was very slow. Not sure if they were understaffed or anything. Took 20 minutes before any server came over after we sat down. Food was decent, but there is too much sweet compared to savory.
Ordered burger. The patty was cold. Nobody came to check on you. Did not get a chance to tell them about the burger.
We had made reservations for a Friday afternoon tea. When we arrived the host did not have a table reserved for us and told us to sit anywhere. We ordered the afternoon tea lunch for two $60.00. The 3 tiered tray consisted of 3 quarter portions of cold chewy bread one topped with dry tough lox, the others with average tasting spreads. The desserts were even less signature and average. The pear tea had no taste, aroma or color. In my opinion, even if this lunch cost $15.00, I still would have been disappointed. I strongly would not recommend.
Even though my friend was over 30 minutes late, they were kind to seat me, and very gracious. We weren't rushed during brunch, and enjoyed the food, the champagne and wonderful atmosphere
We went to Harvey for the High English Tea and it was amazing. My husband was skeptical at first that tea sandwiches, petit-fours, and pastries would be enough food but it was perfect!
Had a lovely afternoon with friends at afternoon tea.. excellent service, very good food, great atmosphere, one of a kind place, and waterfront walk nearby was a treat too.. would return or recommend the place to others
The high tea was great, everything was tasty. However we did feel that the ratio of sweets to savory was too heavy on the sweets. Too many sweets that we just couldn't finished, but would have loved some more savory bites. The pear/cheese sandwiches were DELISH!
Food was amazing. Place was great. Service was friendly. was little disappointed as we came from LI for the vinyl event and there was no event going on. Other then that was very good.
