All was fine but where you are sat does have a massive effect on the whole experience. Last time we came we were not n a nice booth and had a great time but not so much this time. All that said though the food and drinks were good and the salad bar excellent as always.

booked a table as we were staying in the holiday inn express next door. what an excellent choice, very well priced well cooked and tasty food served in a timely fashion and with a smile by our waiter Jack (an asset to the company) we would certainly recommend The Griffin and will go again when next in the area

We had a table booked for 5.30 on a Friday evening. It was busy all the salad bar sauces had run out so had the bread and lots of other stuff. I asked for some thousand Island dressing and eventually it was filled up however he didn't think to fill everything else so we went without as it would have taken an age for everyone to get what they wanted. When the food came out it wasn't very hot. The waiter was very friendly and efficient. You know what your getting at a Harvester, a half decent meal with kids. However I have had better there.

I've been going here nearly every night for the past two weeks and I thought it would get better but it just gets worse. The manager James couldn't care less, there are some staff members there that are great, Jack, India, little Nick and Courtney are fab but overall the food Service is slow, it takes around 45 minutes for the food to arrive and even then half the items are missing or its cold, half the items on the menu are never available and your total meal time could take 3 hours so allow plenty of time !!
