Enjoyed visit for our daughters birthday - liked salad bar and good main courses. The only complaint we have is that the steak in the bun was rather chewy, but just about edible. Very good service.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal out at The Harvester, however I would strongly suggest that you book through the restaurant direct as our booking hadn't reached them, we were very lucky that a table was available for us as the time we wanted, any later we wouldn't have been able to get seated as we're fully booked!

The location of this Harvester is great, sitting right on the Port Solent marina waterfront. Free parking is also a bonus. We arrived 15 minutes early, the table wasn't ready so we went to bar for a drink. One disappointment there - the bar had run out of Doom Bar bitter and no suitable alternative was available. The table wasn't the greatest, located adjacent to the disabled toilet facility but as the place was very fully, there seemed little point in asking to be relocated. Personally I'd like to think that pre-bookings would be given a more favourably located table. The food was very good and the service positive, although a little slow at times. All in all, a nice evening out but things could have been better.

Visiting Portsmouth and returned to the Harvester for our 4th visit. We enjoy the Salad Bar and the food is always to our liking. Sure to visit again in the future.
