Harvester Kitchen is a contemporary restaurant with a focus on the time-honored belief of warm, welcoming hospitality. Chef-owned, operated and focused on innovative American cooking based in classic old-world technique. Harvester Kitchen by Bryan is located in downtown Sioux Falls (DTSF) on 6th Street, near Phillips Avenue, with sunset views of the iconic Old Courthouse clock tower. The windowed loft-style space is in the 115-year-old historic Harvester Building, one of the city’s first farm implement distributors. The restaurant is a scenic 1/2 mile walk from the impressive Falls Park and the waterfalls of the Big Sioux River. And is steps away from the Arc of Dreams, the centerpiece landmark sculpture of the DTSF sculpture walk, spanning the Big Sioux River.

    Stephanie's 7-acre farm is in the watershed of the Big Sioux River near Brandon, SD. In addition to selling eggs from her flock of heritage and hybrid chickens, she sources all types of eggs, including quail and duck eggs, from other small flocks around Southeastern South Dakota. All the chickens are pasture-raised on natural grains and forage, giving the yolks of their eggs a deep golden color, solid shells, and higher nutritional value. Chef Bryan and the HK culinary team have created an inspired 5-course tasting menu featuring these local eggs and more in custards, pasta, sauces, and salads, all paired with lovely American-focused wines.

    Very friendly staff. Had the burger tasting menu some of the burgers were hard to eat as finger food, if you need a knife and fork is it really a burger? Loved the tuna burger, surprised I didn’t like the iberico pork maybe because I was just in Spain and have had steam buns on the streets of Beijing. The final chocolate cake burger was amazing and creative. One of the nicest restaurants in Sioux Falls. As a chef who somehow started specializing in burgers it was a fun night

    Everyone was super friendly! The service was superb! And all of the food we had was excellent! The ambiance was nice and it was not loud at all so it was easy to carry on a conversation. It was my first visit, but it won’t be my last!

    We were extremely disappointed with the delayed servicing of our meals. Our reservation began at 7pm and we weren't served our main course until after 9pm. The food was very good, albeit smaller portions, however the service brought the whole experience down. Realize they just reopened, but expected more for the price.

    It was our first visit to Harvester and we had a great meal/experience. Our server was knowledgeable and provided good explanations of the menu. The wine list is comprehensive and provides a good range of price points. Entrees (we each had a fish entree) were excellent; flavor, temp, sides, etc. Overall, a great evening!

    I cannot recommend this Harvester Kitchen by Bryan highly enough! Food was amazing, wines carefully paired with each course, easy online reservations and attentive service! Our Anniversary dinner was perfect.

    Highly recommend Harvester Kitchen by Bryan!! We traveled 4 hours just to be able to experience this phenomenal restaurant - a real jewel in downtown Sioux Falls. Our dining event was impeccable- from the gorgeous presentation of each course to the amazing and sensational flavor of each bite. Chef Bryan is a true artist and it’s apparent that he and his staff truly care about the whole experience. Counting the days until we can return!

    Fantastic meal at Harvester Kitchen! A friend recommended it for our trip to Sioux Falls. Wonderful to see a high end restaurant doing well executed elevated food with good wine in South Dakota. We did the tasting menu with an additional appetizer. Highlights include the foie gras tart, lobster with nasturtium oil, and (of course) the wagyu. The price is very reasonable for the 5-star experience you are getting. Would happily dine here again and again if I lived nearby.

    Might just be the best all-round dining experience in Sioux Falls, if not broader area. The variety of the food on offer and the quality of the execution were excellent. There were plenty of food options for those who prefer plant-based dining as well as many no-alcohol options for non-drinkers. What really stands out, though, is the service. You never feel like you’re wanting for anything, you never feel rushed, and everybody we met was knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. Though it is expensive for the area, it’s worth it for the stand-out experience.

    We wanted to celebrate our anniversary with a special dinner. Harvester Kitchen was an excellent choice. The service was exceptional. The menu and our choices were intriguing. The small plates were prepared with exceptional detail and talent. While it was an expensive evening, it was worth it!

    Our experience at Harvester was first rate! The ambience was elegant, the two favorite courses were the bream and the mushroom crepe (though they were all delicious!) , and the service was amazing. The wine pairings were spot on, and the sommelier’s description of the wines was very interesting. We recommend Harvester to our friends and will definitely be back. Thanks to all at Harvester for a memorable fine dining experience!

    Last night Cherie and I went to the Harvester Kitchen for their Celebration of Seven Fishes. It was a seven course meal with a wine pairing and it was amazing. Outstanding food and a wine was very thoughtfully paired with each dish. The Uni Arancini were Italian rice balls stuffed with golden Kuluga Caviar and deep fried. They were so delicious. The mussels were served in what looked like foam, the bouillabaisse suds. It was a delight for the mouth. All of the dishes were excellent but I thought the gnocchi was especially noteworthy. Each gnocchi was a silky pillow, so soft and flavorful. What a great thing it is for Sioux Falls to have such fine dining. Chef Bryan and his staff never fail to deliver.

    Each dish on our seven course Feast of the Seven Fishes menu, was exquisite. Beautifully prepared food which we pared with a bottle of Sancerre from the extensive wine list. Staff were lovely and welcoming as always, and we really felt comfortable and happy throughout the evening. On leaving the restaurant, we were presented with boxes of homemade and very delicious cookies, and a couple of bottles of local, seasonal craft beers. A nice touch, and something unexpected. Merry Christmas to Chef Bryan, Jaime, and all the staff! Definitely see you again in 2023!

    Everything was exceptional. From being greeted with a warm, personal welcome from Jaime and our quiet table near the fireplace, to the impeccable service and exquisite food, it was a perfect way to celebrate Christmas. Each course was unique and memorable, paired with carefully chosen delicious wine. Becca provided fascinating details about the selections and we came away with great insights about wine selection (‘minerality’ has new meaning for me). Our compliments to the chef and his team for a wonderful experience.

    We experienced an exquisite meal last night with friends at Harvester Kitchen. We ordered the December tasting menu. Two of us ordered the full seven courses with wine and two of us ordered the five course, no wine option. So fun to leisurely enjoy dinner together and have every course be presented so beautifully with tastes and textures that are unmatched in this area. Love the wines, the service, and the ambiance.

    The December tasting menu was amazing! Everything from the quality of food, to the pairing of the wine and the service. We always enjoy chef Bryan!! The presentation was awesome, with the unique colors and shapes. It was my daughter’s first time trying caviar and she enjoyed the tasting. And it was a special treat to have hot cider to go for the car ride home. I highly recommend it. Thank you, Tami Burkard

    Another great meal at the best restaurant in South Dakota! And for many miles beyond. We started with a simple salad and an incredible roast beet appetizer. For my main course I had a perfectly cooked Wagyu steak and my wife had an equally perfectly cooked salmon. Both were accompanied by creative and delicious sides and our choice of potatoes. One can choose various preparations for the potatoes, so you can vary them every visit if you want. We were assisted by a knowledgeable sommelier and friendly and skilled waiters. The interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated and very comfortable, and the sound level is appropriate for eating food of this quality. The fixed price menu looked delicious, but we are trying to loose our pandemic pounds so didn't try it! Looking forward to my next visit!
