Salmon was not good nor cooked as requested. Service very ordinarily ( bus boy was very pleasant). Had expected something special, didn’t eat much and really didn’t enjoy the experience.
Ambiance is amazing! Sit outside amid the redwoods. Walk the grounds and venture to the back where you can see vineyards and mountains. Service is prompt and food is well executed. Wine list is nicely edited.
Carmalized poprock creme brûlée. So unique and fun!!! Also, the butter was some of the best I’ve had! I know, so strange to comment on the butter, but it was that good!!!
Worst dinner in our 19 years in Napa Valley.
It’s a beautiful dining room but the food was not worth the price. Very small portions and limited menu. The salad and desert were the greatest disappointments. Salad was tasteless and completely unimaginative given the $12 price tag. Just a few dry lettuce leaves. The ice cream for dessert was two tiny scoops. It was very poor quality. Tasted like cheap generic brand from the grocery store. The side dishes were also very poor. Cauliflower gratin had a nice sauce but the cauliflower was practically raw not roasted as menu promised. The malted fries were awful. Nothing special. It seemed like they had been sitting around awhile Service was extremely slow which was incomprehensible given the dining room was almost empty. Not very attentive. We were brought coffee but I had to flag down the bus boy to bring us spoons and sugar. Given that it is a Charlie Palmer restaurant, I was very dissappointed. I expected more.
Great service with good food and wine selections
We came to celebrate our 51st anniversary. The server and the hostess acknowledged that it was our anniversary, but neither took action.
No champagne, no candle, no dessert. Disappointing. The restaurant is dark.
The food was OK.
Not our happiest celebration.
While a hotel restaurant, Chef Palmer does a wonderful job overseeing a great menu and wine list. We enjoyed our meal and the service was wonderful. The outdoor seating and beautiful property make this stop a no-brainer.
We were all very disappointed in our experience. The wait staff could have been friendlier. We had to send back a drink which was just vodka but they didn’t use what we requested. The outside ambience was nothing to write home about. The food was ok but it was my husbands birthday and we took friends and I found myself having to apologize for the experience. We had dinner the night before at The Farmhouse and I guess we were expecting something more like that.
I saw all the reviews and pictures of the good looking food but was disappointed for the food selections and services. We met up for our friend whom is in the wine industry and wanted to treat him to lunch. First, we waited for 45 minutes before our food were served and there were only 1 table of 6 next to us. Our reservation was at 11:45am. When the food came out, it was slightly cold for our chicken plate. For the expensive meal we paid $200, it was not worth the price we paid. We will not recommend our friends and family. We chose this place due to the reviews from past customers and pictures posted. We felt deceived.
Very surprised at the quality of the food for the location. I think if it were not attached to the hotel, it would not still be open. There was nothing we ordered that we would go back for again. The bar seemed to be more popular than the restaurant.
Had an amazing brunch dish.
Food was delicious and we ate outside on their porch and it was lovely.
Just okay. Too many better restaurants in the area that offer exquisite dining. The one good point is that if you are staying at the hotel you don't have to drive to dinner. Next time we will Uber elsewhere
Harvest Table offers good food and service, as well as pleasant, contemporary decor. I will return on a warm summer night or for lunch/brunch and sit on the outdoor patios. Inside (where we chose to sit as it was chilly outside), the dining hall felt boring and generic. While the lighting was good, doors to the patios were open on both sides which made the dining hall cold. All that's needed to turn this into a pleasant, cosy space, is to close the doors to the patios, increase the music's volume a tad, and light the fire. Do that, and we'll come back, for the food is quite good (the crudo was fresh and the english pea risotto was excellent).
Our party of 4 arrived at 5:25 for a 5:30 pm reservation. We were told we had to wait in the bar until the restaurant opened at 5:30, even though we could easily have been seated. So we had cocktails in the bar, which we hadn’t planned on because we had brought 2 bottles of wine (opened after being seated in the restaurant, with corkage $20 per bottle). Very good meal with god service, though not a standout on either score. When we left, the parking valet was nowhere to be found After waiting for more than 5 minutes, we recovered our car keys from the valet box and drove away. Strange experience.
We went to Harvest for what we thought would be a special Mother's Day dinner. They were only offering brunch, and with bar type food offerings ie. burgers, salad, bacon. The food came out cold, was overly salty, and the service was not very good. My son asked for a children's burger but received an adult one. By the time he received his children's burger, we were done eating. We did not find this venue to be the least bit special and we left feeling very disappointed.
Setting of the restaurant in the Harvest Inn makes this feel like a secret hideaway. Menu not extensive but offers something well prepared and presented for everyone. The appetizer mussels were plump, tasty. The salmon entree was fresh served over sautéed grains. Best of all, first bottle, as long as it was from Napa Valley, had no corkage fee- make sure you confirm this ahead of time as our server did not know of this policy.
Great lunch in the heart of wine country
Great! Perfect service and food was fresh and excellent
Excellent food and service. The view outside was lovely and the peaceful redwoods added to the ambience. Truly lovely experience. I would come back here as often as possible. Not to be missed!
We were seated outside with a good heater and a very pleasant view. Service was just excellent.
Excellent service, amazing food and a great wine list in a truly beautiful setting.
Nice place to have a quiet dinner. Very good dervicr
great food and service, enjoyed the grounds, walk through the property after dinner
Food was very good, shared a lot. Bussers and food runners were very personable, server was ok. They did take good care of my girlfriend on her birthday.
The only real disappointing dinner during our week out west. With all the great restaurants between St. Helena and Yountville, you really have to stay on your game or fall off the map. I feel like this place is headed in the wrong direction. Service was our biggest issue. Even the Somm, who was very nice, served us warm red wine. If you’re an upscale yountville restaurant and you don’t properly cellar your red wines, then that tells me something right off the bat....food was decent but not great. Just better places to eat.
Our visit was excellent. Food great and service the same. One thing I never care for is a Martini put into another type glass, a modified wine glass. Manager was terrific and attentive. Chef also visited our table which was a nice touch.
Seriously expected way more from this restaurant. No one from the entire staff greeted us until we went up to the concieege who waved toward the host. She barely looked at us or spoke but motioned us to a table. The wait staff seemed to be nice but uninterested. The carpacio looked goid but tasted bland. There were a few oysters on the platter that looked old and the rest were loaded with shell fragments. When we told the server he looked blank and just removed the platter. The mussels and the goat cheese salad were both very good. Honestly everyone working at the restaurant seemed socially awkward and not confident in their role. I doubt if I will return.
The seating was a bit tight so overall noise level was a high. The servers were all friendly but eventually forgot about us since we requested to be reseated in a corner. My husband had the scallops and he said it tasted a little gritty. I had the coconut curry mussels and the impossible burger, both were excellent. I only wished that I didn't have to listen to every word my neighbors were saying (perhaps they were drunk...)
We had an amazing meal. The food and service were excellent. The menu offered a wonderful selection. The flavors and textures in all of our courses were innovative and delicious. I would return there in a heartbeat.
Hamburger was out of this world and large enough to split. We would go back just for that. They have child's menu. Many diners were staying at the Inn.
I brought friends from the East Bay to visit and have lunch during the Restaurant week as I had been here previously and had wonderful lunch and wanted them to enjoy the grounds and have "Ladies Lunch" and enjoy as well.
I was so disappointed as the food was not good. The pasta was under cooked and the tri tip sandwich was not only dry but had no flavor. The giant bun that housed the small dry beef , even when taken off still displayed the small and non flavor meat. One of my girlfriends didn't even eat much of the pasta dish as she stated it was undercooked and not tasty at all...
It was not the best representation of this place and can only hope I was there with friends on a bad day. At this time I will not plan on returning
The service was trying but we had not only the salad but the entree delivered at the same time....even the "chef" who stopped by made the note that we had both as once. When we explained that they had done this he just encouraged us to eat our Entree first....
I really hope someone reads this and takes note... as I am a local and will not be encouraging any one to visit here.
Waitress was pushy and rude.
Water attendant was on it.
Hostess was very friendly and inquisitive.
Was nice to interact with the chef.
Good food. They brought our dessert with a candle and Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate. Nice atmosphere. Nice ambience.
The food was excellent. The service was off on the night we went. The main restaurant was fairly quiet but we were told they only had seating on the porch and put us there with a few other couples. It was chilly and not ideal, even with the heat lamps. They should had offered indoor seating which was plentiful. The service was also lax, bringing my food and not my friends which was only corrected after waiting for 15 minutes and calling over the server. So, I'd highly recommend the food and ambience but strongly recommend the restaurant look at its service structure.
Had a lovely dinner while staying a the inn. The food was fresh and delicious. Service was attentive and wonderful- an excellent experience!
God was mediocre at best. My fish was over cooked and dry. It is a nice setting. We may return for cocktails but likely not dinner
