Food was very good, shared a lot. Bussers and food runners were very personable, server was ok. They did take good care of my girlfriend on her birthday.
The only real disappointing dinner during our week out west. With all the great restaurants between St. Helena and Yountville, you really have to stay on your game or fall off the map. I feel like this place is headed in the wrong direction. Service was our biggest issue. Even the Somm, who was very nice, served us warm red wine. If you’re an upscale yountville restaurant and you don’t properly cellar your red wines, then that tells me something right off the bat....food was decent but not great. Just better places to eat.
Our visit was excellent. Food great and service the same. One thing I never care for is a Martini put into another type glass, a modified wine glass. Manager was terrific and attentive. Chef also visited our table which was a nice touch.
Seriously expected way more from this restaurant. No one from the entire staff greeted us until we went up to the concieege who waved toward the host. She barely looked at us or spoke but motioned us to a table. The wait staff seemed to be nice but uninterested. The carpacio looked goid but tasted bland. There were a few oysters on the platter that looked old and the rest were loaded with shell fragments. When we told the server he looked blank and just removed the platter. The mussels and the goat cheese salad were both very good. Honestly everyone working at the restaurant seemed socially awkward and not confident in their role. I doubt if I will return.
The seating was a bit tight so overall noise level was a high. The servers were all friendly but eventually forgot about us since we requested to be reseated in a corner. My husband had the scallops and he said it tasted a little gritty. I had the coconut curry mussels and the impossible burger, both were excellent. I only wished that I didn't have to listen to every word my neighbors were saying (perhaps they were drunk...)
We had an amazing meal. The food and service were excellent. The menu offered a wonderful selection. The flavors and textures in all of our courses were innovative and delicious. I would return there in a heartbeat.
Hamburger was out of this world and large enough to split. We would go back just for that. They have child's menu. Many diners were staying at the Inn.
I brought friends from the East Bay to visit and have lunch during the Restaurant week as I had been here previously and had wonderful lunch and wanted them to enjoy the grounds and have "Ladies Lunch" and enjoy as well.
I was so disappointed as the food was not good. The pasta was under cooked and the tri tip sandwich was not only dry but had no flavor. The giant bun that housed the small dry beef , even when taken off still displayed the small and non flavor meat. One of my girlfriends didn't even eat much of the pasta dish as she stated it was undercooked and not tasty at all...
It was not the best representation of this place and can only hope I was there with friends on a bad day. At this time I will not plan on returning
The service was trying but we had not only the salad but the entree delivered at the same time....even the "chef" who stopped by made the note that we had both as once. When we explained that they had done this he just encouraged us to eat our Entree first....
I really hope someone reads this and takes note... as I am a local and will not be encouraging any one to visit here.

Good food. They brought our dessert with a candle and Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate. Nice atmosphere. Nice ambience.
The food was excellent. The service was off on the night we went. The main restaurant was fairly quiet but we were told they only had seating on the porch and put us there with a few other couples. It was chilly and not ideal, even with the heat lamps. They should had offered indoor seating which was plentiful. The service was also lax, bringing my food and not my friends which was only corrected after waiting for 15 minutes and calling over the server. So, I'd highly recommend the food and ambience but strongly recommend the restaurant look at its service structure.
Had a lovely dinner while staying a the inn. The food was fresh and delicious. Service was attentive and wonderful- an excellent experience!
God was mediocre at best. My fish was over cooked and dry. It is a nice setting. We may return for cocktails but likely not dinner

We had very romantic seats by the fire. The filet, scallops and mushroom risotto were all excellent!
Harvest Table is always a very pleasurable dining experience. Food is very good and the service is always outstanding. One of my favorite Napa valley restaurants

The inside portion of the restaurant was quite loud. We sat outside, which was great until a large party was sealed right next to us. The food was great, but service was quite slow. Appetizer took 25 minutes. Entrees were out 35 minutes after that. Our waiter got the large party as our entrees arrived and too a long while to check on our entrees and again for coffee/dessert. Luckily, we weren't in a hurry and enjoyed the leisurely service.
The young man that greeted us, Shawn C, welcoming us back with some bubbly, was very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing creative and delicious. The chef can do amazing things with fish which is one of the reasons we like to dine there. Sending my friends to this fantastic restaurant.
My fish tacos tasted very fishy and maybe had 1.5 of "grilled" meat total between the two. No joke!!! Luckily my husband shared his fries so I didn't starve. Very disappointed as I love Charlie Palmer restaurants.
Excellent food in a very special resort in St Helena. Wonderful wine list. Our waiter Sean was great. It was a meal to remember and should be on everyone's list during a trip to wine country.
Excellent setting outdoors on the patio, excellent food, nice wine...overall, all four of us were very pleased indeed. We will return.

For evening..Seated on porch as requested..But took 10 min. for someone to ask if we wanted water...another 10 for water to show..then another 10 to order wine & app..They did split our entree in the kitchen although the servers didn’t think they would! Very well crafted entree..Nice ambiance!
Service was very slow, and waitress misinformed on the Ragu dish. Very different than she described. My pork chop was fabulous, as well as the veggies/potatoes served with it.
Will give it one more try...
on the suggestion of a friend, we came for dinner 3 weeks ago. We suggested that our friends join us for dinner on the 24th of Sept. The food was very poor-it was unrecognizable to our previous dinner. The placed a group of 12 on the patio with us. All conversation was impossible. They should have been in the main dining room or on the other patio. Our very nice friends looked up at us and said, "this food is really, really poor quality". I can't recommend it again or return.
The food was great and the ambiance was also enjoyable, the service however left a lot to be desired. We sat an waited for 15 minutes after we were done and had to finally flag someone down to get a check. Then they dropped it off and took another 10 minutes to pick up and run the credit card. Not what I would expect from a restaurant of this level. If this was improved I would highly recommend every other aspect.
My mom, sister and I recently visited Napa and stayed at The Harvest Inn. We dined at The Harvest Table one evening and it was outstanding. The food was fresh, creative, beautiful and delicious. The Chef even came out to talk with the diners a couple times over the course of the evening. The Harvest Table has its own garden on site. The beet salad was the best I have ever had, and my filet was cooked to perfection! We dined outside, but under an awning, so it was cozy and warm. The bar offers a fun selection of custom crafted cocktails and local wines. Very very good - I would dine there again for sure!
Starter Course: Positive - Foie Gras Torchon, was very good.
Main Course: Negative - Ultra small portion, lamb tasted very gamey, giving the perception that it was a little older than I would have expected and the vegetables were more raw than al dente and were not warm enough.
Dessert Course: Negative - Ultra small portion, Layer Cake, tasted ok
The menu is rather eclectic, but everything I've tried has tasted great. It's nice to be able to dine outside next to the redwoods. Great wine menu as well.
Patios need some TLC , for the level restaurant and price they are far from pristine.. service ok, too many different faces at the table but not consistent, food just ok. My filet which they claim is one of there specials was the size of a half-dollar. I threw them off when I asked for ground pepper... no pepper mill?? Really
We went to Harvest Table for the first time. Prior to making reservations, we read the reviews, but kept an open mind.
The service was spot on, responsive, engaged, friendly, but not obsequious or over done.
The cocktails were the inventive, creative and unique--loved every drop. We will be back for those again! Mary's chicken and the starch and veggies were perfectly done, with great seasoning. The desert we shared was a Chantilly cream with berries and a macaron with lime cream--refreshing and alive. All in all, a delightful experience. The prices were not excessive, despite the quality and reputation of the chef. We enjoyed every minute!
