Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar - Lancaster
Very accommodating of allergies. Made our Nans 97th birthday special. This is a great place to eat at. Will recommend and continue to come here.
My boyfriend and I went to harvest for our Valentine’s Day dinner and it was absolutely amazing. We love to come here for our dates and it never disappoints. He got the filet mignon and said it was the best steak he’s ever had. I got salmon and it was cooked perfectly. Also the service was great (as always). We will definitely be coming back again. 😍
The food is always really good. Their burgers are delicious, and the butternut squash soup is the best I've ever had. The lobster bisque could've used more lobster.
Always a great experience
My boyfriend and I are a fairly new couple but still wanted to enjoy a nice valentines date. This spot was perfect and he was impressed by the place I picked!
Veggie food choices are great. Eggplant Parm is a favorite every time. We go here fairly frequently, but it’s a little pricy for an every week option. They are serious about food allergies and real vegan and vegetarian food choices. They have a really nice carnivore menu as well. Highly recommended for a nice lunch or dinner option in Lancaster.
I took my girlfriend to harvest for valentine's day. It is a very nice place inside. Unfortunately, we were sat at a table below a heater. It was incredibly hot being dressed up.
The server was excellent and attentive. The food was very good and plated beautifully. I will be returning and would definitely recommend harvest to friends.
Everything was fantastic!
Noise level = unbearable not energetic.
We arrived 5 minutes early and were told we are checked in, seating in 5 minutes. 10 minutes later a couple arrive with no reservations. They said they had made them, but there was no record of it. They stood out in the cold and waited after being told they would try to find them a seat. My wife and I saw 3-5 people come in and were told there was a 2 hour 45 minute wait. We said a couple times that the people waiting were crazy. Then to our surprise they came in and said you texted us, and were seated before at least a dozen of us 10-15 minutes past our reservation time.
We were finally seated in the middle of a crowded very loud room. I asked my wife if she would prefer to call for a pizza and go home and watch a movie, we opted to stay. Mistake.
The server was very nice and friendly. She only did one thing wrong and that was talk my wife out of a cosmopolitan in favor of what was the equivalent of pear juice. My wife and a friend just had a cosmopolitan in Trump tower for $15 dollars each. The pear juice, which was most likely a premixed drink to speed up service was $15.
The we ordered Filet mignon. One medium rare, one medium well. Both were well done. They totally ruined the taste of everything with some soapy tasting gravy like substance.
In short- this is fast food fine dining. No salt and pepper on the table usually means you don’t need it because the chef’s seasoning handles it. They need to get salt and pepper on every table.
Another plus was our dog loved the chunk of steak we brought him. We were very careful to remove all the gravy like goop that was on everything.
It was the best experience we have had at this particular harvest since dining there numerous times. Excellent food, excellent service, over the top dining.
Very good food and service! A bit on the expensive end, but worth it for the holiday.
Very nice experience. We will definitely go back. We had a dietary need at our table and the waitress was so suggestive and accommodating.
Service was superb! Menu choices were varied and selections were not the same old thing offered everywhere.
Our menu choices were cooked to enhance the flavors and textures.
Deserts were tasty but not over the top.
Will return to try more of the options.
Server was friendly and helpful. Food was just ok. Every dish but one had something off about it, mostly just too fussy, overly ambitious ingredient combinations that just did not work. Will only come back and would only recommend for lunch, salads, small plates, and not as first choice.
Food was great. Server rushing us. She cleared the table before all people were done eating. Also, ordered coffee and it was cold.
Overall mixed review. Service was slow and my Wife’s salmon was severely undercooked. We sent it back and again it was undercooked and we’ve had our fair share of raw fish. Seemed to be a bit overpriced given this experience.
Food was excellent and served hot and in a timely fashion. Our server however frequently was no where to be found (not that busy, she might have had 2 other tables). Other servers served our drinks. Coffee (decaf) was said to be fresh brewed but delivered at a tepid temperature. Service didn't ruin the meal but I t didn't add to it either.
We took our daughter for her 18 birthday! The card was a very nice touch! Food was fabulous!!
I always enjoy coming to Harvest. New things to try, unique dishes, great food!
Thankfully we made reservations on Open Table. Lots of people milling about in the small entrance. We were seated promptly. That was the quickest thing that happened during our dinner. It took awhile for our waiter to arrive at the table & then bring our drinks. Nothing complicated-2 waters, glass of wine, a beer & a soda. We never received our appetizer. I had to mention this to our waiter. He offered to bring it after we had our meal but at that point in time it was too late. We had ordered the tuna tataki & I didn’t want to risk eating it after it had sat around under the heat lamps. He offered to pack it up to go. Again I declined. It was removed from our bill but we did not receive any compensation, such as free dessert or glass of wine.
Portions are small as Harvest tries to keep everything under 500 calories. So, you might need to run over to Chick-Fil-A afterwards to get some nuggets for your drive home.
The decor is reminiscent of an early 2000’s hotel restaurant. Dark neutrals, suspended glass dividers, overall large bar, and lots of booths. For a farm to table themed restaurant, Harvest should’ve lightened up the interior.
Maybe I’ll be back for lunch. But it’s pretty pricey for the quantity & service provided.
Value priced designer food. Love their little desserts!! This was my first visit, but not my last
Meal was good but overpriced. Should receive salad and bread for that price.
This was our 3rd visit and each time the food is properly prepared and tasty, the service excellent, and overall experience well above average.
Overall we are big fans. The first visit was so perfect and the 2nd and 3rd, but, since then it seems like slowly......very slowly it seem to be going down. Just an opinion and I will continue to be a patron of The Harvest.
Overall a good experience and great menu. Squash soup is amazing! Restaurant is very loud so if you’re looking for a quiet meal this is not the place. If you’re looking for quality food, this is the place.
Just to start off, the service rating was not about our waiter. He personally was a 5 and the manager also checked in on us. The service rating was a 1 for the front desk hostess group. I felt like they had a god complex because they held the keys to me being able to get to my table. I arrived 15 minutes in advance of my reservation and they didn’t call us until the clock was exactly on the arrival time. Now I went and used the restroom during the wait time to see our future table completely open and clean. There were several other tables like this and other guests that I observed. We were literally packed like rats in the foyer with nowhere to go. They were also rude to an elderly couple that came in looking to eat. They couldn’t bother to direct them to the bar or have someone help them determine if there were two seats together. They definitely didn’t make me want to stay. The Harvest in Harrisburg is much more friendly, welcoming, and will seat you three minutes before your reservation starts.
The Hostest was very helpfull moving us from a booth that was very tight for six of us to comfortable table. The food was very nice. the only disappointment was empty glasses left on table when a new drink was put on the table and the water glasses not being refilled in a timley manner.
The food was absolutely delicious. We had a reservation and had to wait for about 10-15 minutes but otherwise, this was a wonderful experience!
This was our first trip out as a family of three! We dined with our 2 week old son and everyone was polite attentive and helpful! The food and drinks were good as always and did not disappoint. Glad to see lots of other small kids there, we’ll surely be back!
Loved the restaurant week menu. They should come up with a prefix meal for all the time. Doesn't need to be 4 courses but was fun to try multiple dishes. The fig bourbon drink was great. The short ribs so tender didn't even need to use a knife. Wish they had more local wines such as Waltz wine from Lancaster, PA.
Food and service was excellent. It was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Ask for Kyle he will take good care of you!
Took a coworker on a Tuesday night. Never been here before. Was surprised that they had Restaurant Week. Could choose appetizer/soup or salad/main course/dessert. Was a lot of food. Actually took my salad home to have as lunch the next day. The Beet Tartare was beyond good. Salmon was good perfectly. Plan to go back later in the week with my husband. Great deal.
Always enjoy dining at a Harvest location.
Excellent plant based choices on the menu. The menu also allows for light eating and making healthy choices. Not a fan of the desserts making the rounds to all the tables in the dessert tray. I don’t believe it is a sanitary method as all desserts are exposed to all the diners. Nevertheless, we always enjoy the menu and the preparation of the dishes. It is always a good idea to make a reservation on open table.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed happy hour especially the great deals and the delicious food! We WILL be back!
Great service, good explanation of menu and drinks.
This place is amazing! The food was worth the drive from Reading to Lancaster. The butternut squash soup and winter salad were perfect. The charcuterie was a great assortment of local cheeses---phenominal!
Great food and service.
Noisy! 6 people with a reservation put in a booth not at a table???Impossible to hear even the person beside me and my hearing is great. Actually changed a reservation with friends for this reason. Also some portions were more than adequate but our light eater who ordered scallops left hungry.
