Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar – Glen Mills Ratings and Reviews
I've never been to a farm to table restaurant, so I can see why it was a bit pricey, but the food was incredible and it was worth every penny. The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect for date night. The menu has a wide variety of food to cater to anyone with specific needs.
My husband I have been to Harvest several times. We are trying to eat healthier and fined the food to be very fresh and flavorful. In the 7 + times I have been to this establishment I have had EXCELLENT service. However, this time i was not impressed. Our waitress was sweet and always apologetic when she messed up...(ie wine did not come with my meal even though I specifically ordered in advance and asked for it to come with dinner, I had to ask for coffee with dessert twice)
I will continue to dine here, but hope i don’t get that waitress again.
This last trip was about the 10th time I've dined at Harvest Glen Mills. The food and service are always at least above average here, but this time was a 6:30 pm reservation on Valentine's Day. I went in prepared for a bumpy ride, and was shocked at how smooth everything was running that night. And not just at my table but throughout the restaurant. Well done management, chef and kitchen staff, and our excellent server Matt!
Great pre Valentines Day experience on the day before. I tried the Coffee Rubbed Wagyu Sirloin. It was perfectly cooked. Delicious and tender.
Even though the restaurant was crowded, service was great, as always.
Reservations are strongly suggested as this restaurant is busy every day of the week.
Four friends gathered to celebrate a birthday. Lindsey was our server; she was very helpful. we had several questions which Lindsey answered for us. We all enjoyed our luncheon choices and when we chose our desserts, Lindsey had a candle to put into our friends, so we could sing to her - very nice touch!
We will definitely be back!
Not sure what was wrong on 2/8/18 with Harvest. First off: the girls (hostess) at the front were telling our guess that there weren't any reservations under our name. We had just arrived 5 minutes ahead with those said reservations and was seated. After waiting a while we decided to check at the hostess stand to find the other couple sitting up front being told something different. That made Harvest really look stupid and very unprofessional.
2nd: The waiter brought the wrong entree to our table. When the right entree finally came, the steak was over cooked, extremely thin and burnt. Who wants to eat burnt meat when it was clearly ordered medium. And of course the waiter never came back to see how everything was. The waiter knew when that plate hit the table. I could blame the waiter completely, but the kitchen should take most of the responsibility, they did prepare the meal. It's a shame how the customer has to be penalized by mistakes within your organization. When people go out for the evening and spend decent money on their meal, that's what's expected. If it wasn't a business dinner, that meal would have certainly gone back for the second time. It will be a while before forgiving Harvest.
The food was excellent. The service not so much. Asked our server for a wine list while eating she proceeded to have a 5+ minute conversation with her friends at the table behind us instead of bringing the list. When we finally ordered our drink it sat at the bar while our server talked and applied her lip gloss at the server station instead of bringing the drink. She just seemed preoccupied with a bunch of other items instead of serving.
There was some confusion in trying to book a party of more then 4 people which was handled directly with someone at the restaurant the morning of the event but somehow that was all lost in translation because we arrived at the red restaurant on time but had no table to accommodate us. They did provide us with adequate seating but not a great situation which is the usual for them.
However, the great service & food quickly made up for it and my 91 year father enjoyed himself immensely:)
Always great. Butternut squash soup was delicious. Short rib flatbread, while tasting good, was very greasy, however. Shrimp bowl very good, but it would be easier to eat, especially with chopsticks, if the shrimp tails were removed! Otherwise, the diner is cutting them off or biting them off which gets messy. Our server, Ian, was attentive and not intrusive.
Unfortunately Harvest is still hit or miss and dinner this night was a miss. Greek Salad was a plate of iceberg lettuce with 3 olives and a few diced cucumbers, salmon added on top was unusually cold and unappetizing. Not at all up to Harvest's typical quality or presentation.
Consistently good. Very busy at 6:30 on a Saturday evening. Requested a booth for our foursome, and the hostess fulfilled our request with only a brief wait. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Asked for bleu cheese dressing on a side salad, but they don’t offer it. She came up with an alternative concoction which was tasty. All entrees were satisfying, including scallops, salmon, short ribs and swordfish. Interesting veggie sides like purée of parsnips added flair to each dish. Wine was incredibly expensive at $18 a glass, but beer was more reasonable at $7. This was our third visit over the past year and a half. We will return.
Have been to this Harvest 4 previous times and the food continues to impress. The service was great. I like people that take time to joke around a bit and our server was great that way. The food is always good with this now being my 5th time and the prices to me are line to what I would expect to pay. They let us sit at our table for almost 4 hrs which was even more impressive. We of course made sure we compensated our server as in some places Ive been to you feel rushed.
The food was excellent! I had the vegan pho, and my boyfriend had the Thai shrimp salad. The waitress very kindly brought me some extra sauces that customers really like to spice up the pho, since he vegan broth wasn’t very spicy. We also got the shrimp bao buns which were amazing!
My friends and I love this restaurant. This last visit was for their special restaurant week meal. It was 4 courses for $35, which was an absolute bargain. They offered many choices for each course and portion sizes were perfect. I definitely recommend them to my friends.
I have been to Harvest (Glen Mills) before and always enjoyed the food. This dinner was no different, as my pear & bleu flatbread and coffee-rubbed wagyu sirloin were both phenomenal.
Our server was very attentive at first, but my group was chatty, so we did not order for a while (15-20 minutes, though she came back 2-3 times to check). Waiting to order was a big mistake as it was restaurant week and the kitchen must have gotten backed up. After we ordered it took nearly 20 minutes to get our appetizer, and nearly 60 minutes for our entrees. The entree wait was especially disappointing, although everyone in the group LOVED their meals. I included the delays in this review because this is not the first time I've experienced that at Harvest. But that certainly won't stop me from coming again because I really enjoy the dining experience here.
