I've been to Harvest a few times and it's great. Really good for us Vegans
My last experience this week was so/so based on restaurant alone, we had a fun meet up.
It's rare but I actually didn't like my dish, so I ate from my friend's plate. he later told me that I should have spoken up. I'm figuring you stick with your pick ( I know better now )
Our waitress though very nice and very attentive, she was very abrupt and rude with her interrupting. Our table would be in mid-conversation and she would interrupt and talk right over us ( it was quite peculiar really ) I've never experienced this before.
I don't think one wrong dish pick on my part, or waitress experience is enough to stop me from telling people to come to Harvest. Just was not my best visit
Harvest is making a comeback. Their staff and food have improved greatly. So happy!
Very good fresh food with a flair. Place is farm to table so menu changes with season. Will definitely go back again.
To be honest, I was looking forward to trying the Harvest Grille for the first time. I shop at Whole Foods every week and have eaten at Not Your Average Joes several times. However, our server was attentive...my drinks were good BUT I never would have expected that the kitchen did not know how to cook a Bison burger med-rare! 2 of us ordered the Bison burger...1 med and mine med-rare without the bun and both asked for cheddar cheese. I got mine "raw" on a bun and the other person got my medium=rare without a bun...and with swiss cheese. I sent mine back...got 4 burgers...not 1 was cooked right. The 2nd came out well...the 3rd and 4th were still raw...I gave up at that point. Needless to say I was frustrated and cancelled it all together. :-(
Butternut squash is outstanding as is the salmon salad and the steak wedge! And the pear blue cheese flatbread was crazy good. Our waitress Catherine was excellent!
Locally sourced ingredients make up most of the main courses. Meals are balanced protein, veg, and starch. Their aim is a 500 calorie meal that is satisfying and leaves room for their delicious right-sized desserts. Wine selection is better than adequate. The staff is attentive. Parking is ample. Make a reservation and enjoy.
Delicious trout And bouillabaisse.
Waitress was soooo nice and food was perfect
Great brunch. Wanted to get in before the menu change. Chocolate waffle was as good as the picture showed
Wonderful menu, we had a difficult time deciding which items to order. We decided on the cauliflower wings , Thai beef lettuce wraps and a flat bread pizza, all very tasty! Looking forward to our next visit to try a few more items on the menu. Wine list had many good options. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.
Been here several times and never disappointed.
Had lunch with my nieces and we had a nice time. Food was fresh, healthy and delicious. Wonderful alternative to fast food. A lot of taste without all of the calories. Server was friendly and attentive.
Haven’t been back in years but gave it a shot because heard there was a new chef. It didn’t disappoint. The jerk chicken flatbread had the perfect spice and the desserts are spot on great. I can’t wait to come back.
Great energy. Great company.
Always a fresh & delicious meal.
It was nice and the food was good but not to the extent people I know have made it out to be. I do however think it is awesome that the food they serve all comes from local sources. That fact in its self will keep me coming back.
We had a reservation for 6Pm and we got there early and were told we needed to wait until 6 for our table. No problem. They said we could go to the bar, great! I asked if you could fetch us there when our table was ready. Answer: No we can't do that. Really? Why? So we said okay we would wait in the lobby. At 6:00 sharp they seated us and they seated us in a table that had been open when we arrived at 5:30.
We enjoyed our dinner at Harvest. The greeters were friendly, the service excellent and the food excellent. We both have been there before. It was, once again, a great dinner.
I was entertaining out-of-state guests and chose Harvest because it has a nice, quiet ambiance that makes conversation possible, as well as a varied menu and nice wine selection. Our table tried the swordfish, scallops, and pork chops, which were all amazing. The food was fresh, well cooked, beautifully plated, and delicious. The service was okay - the hostess said they didn't have our reservation from Open Table (even though I received confirmation), but she was able to seat us right away. The server was friendly and helpful with our questions about the menu; however, once we were served he got busy and service dropped off. We had to flag someone down to box our leftovers, and our check was dropped off without offering coffee or dessert.
Started fine. Had to flag down a Busperson to get flatware in order to eat my entree. Dessert mishap was handled well by the server but absence of a concerned manager was clearly felt. In my opinion Harvest is on a steady decline.
My husband and I go as often as we can and have never been disappointed with the food! I had the braised short rib and was Fabulous!
Well-prepared, sensible portions of a wide variety of food types. Service is fast and efficient. Only negative is the noise level which on one occasion was so loud to make conversation an effort. Otherwise a great spot for lower calorie, healthy food in a well-designed, casual restaurant.
I ordered the trout,it was cooked perfectly. My husband,on the other hand, ordered filet mignon,broiled...it was too close to the flame, and turned the outside totally black..this took away from the flavor of the steak, and became inedible.
Prior meals at Harvest were very good. However we were both really underwhelemed due to Brazilian Chicken tasting like a boneless breast had been grilled and the bbq sauce was out of a jar. The beef lettuce wraps were equally weak and getting slabs of beef on skewers for “lettuce wraps” made no sense plus meat was chewy and bland. Siracha peanuts and chow mein noodles made no sense for lettice wraps either. Our server was friendly but was not very knowledgable about dishes. Our table was beat up looking. Felt like cooking team lacks inspiration and focus on making the really good whole food dishes we previously enjoyed at Harvest. Big dissappointment overall.
I seek out this restaurant when I travel because it is unique, fresh and delicious.
Delicious lunch, however I was a little disappointed that there was no acknowledgement of the special occasion I mentioned when I made the reservation on Open Table, and wasn't able to mention it in front of my guest. Hostesses seemed anxious to get us seated and weren't terribly cordial.
The restaurant was understandably busy because it was lunchtime, but very loud. It was hard to hear ourselves talk. The Harvest in North Wales has dividers between the different sections of the restaurant which really helps cut down on the noise level, and if I'm being honest, servers are more friendly and anxious to please at that location.
Food was delicious as always and beautifully plated. Service was good but the server was clearly very busy and didn't stop by much to see if we needed anything extra.
This is the last time we will dine at Harvest. Each time we ask for as little added salt as possible yet it is so salty as to be inedible. You can't taste the food it is so overwhelmed with salt, plus there are so many thing we can't order because they are prepared with so much salt.
I think chefs gradually lose their taste buds and don't realize how salty the food is. I won't spend $250 again for food that isn't edible.
We very much enjoyed this visit to the Glen Mills location. The server was very accommodating— especially by offering a tasting of one of the beers on draft. I was happy to find out the beers are reasonably priced as well, having paid 10 dollars per beer at the Radnor location a couple of months ago. Almost did not return to harvest grill based on the overpriced beer. The only reason for the four rating as opposed to five is that the food was not as spectacular as I have come to expect. The halibut special was frankly dry. Two other fresh fish entrees at the table were also OK, but not the write home about it variety. We will return to glen mills but never to Radnor because we order beer.
We came for brunch and had the eggs benedict which was very good, we love coming here, the service is always nice, this is one of our favorites
Well worth it.
Went for impromptu brunch and had a great time.
I've never been to a farm to table restaurant, so I can see why it was a bit pricey, but the food was incredible and it was worth every penny. The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect for date night. The menu has a wide variety of food to cater to anyone with specific needs.
Wonderful from start to finish. Excellent local farm fresh food and lots of gluten free options.
Dinner and a movie with some friends, and we have come to harvest before. We enjoyed flatbreads and Brussels sprouts followed by filet, and 2 orders of spicy shrimp noodle bowl (my fave). The food is consistently good. Service has also been great every time. I also just really love the mini desserts- salted Carmel chocolate is by far the best one.
Top quality food all around. Always pleased with the service, seasonal farm to table food menu and IPA beers along with great tasting quality wine options. Our favorite place. Great servers too!
Great dining....very busy....better inventory management may be in order...out of all Malbec...out of absolute citron....otherwise a good dining experience ....will return
My husband I have been to Harvest several times. We are trying to eat healthier and fined the food to be very fresh and flavorful. In the 7 + times I have been to this establishment I have had EXCELLENT service. However, this time i was not impressed. Our waitress was sweet and always apologetic when she messed up...(ie wine did not come with my meal even though I specifically ordered in advance and asked for it to come with dinner, I had to ask for coffee with dessert twice)
I will continue to dine here, but hope i don’t get that waitress again.
This last trip was about the 10th time I've dined at Harvest Glen Mills. The food and service are always at least above average here, but this time was a 6:30 pm reservation on Valentine's Day. I went in prepared for a bumpy ride, and was shocked at how smooth everything was running that night. And not just at my table but throughout the restaurant. Well done management, chef and kitchen staff, and our excellent server Matt!
Great pre Valentines Day experience on the day before. I tried the Coffee Rubbed Wagyu Sirloin. It was perfectly cooked. Delicious and tender.
Even though the restaurant was crowded, service was great, as always.
Reservations are strongly suggested as this restaurant is busy every day of the week.
Food was wonderful. Server was very nice and knowledgeable. Lots of gluten free options.
