Great food and great atmosphere! Food is freshly prepared so it takes a little longer to get but it is well worth the wait!

Went for dinner. I had a bean and vegetable soup which should have been saved for a winter dish. The salad I had was forgettable. My husband had the duck and said he would not be getting duck anytime in the near future.:(. Won't be returning.

After a long day of wine tasting our group of 6 thought about skipping dinner but we are so glad we didn't! Harvest Moon has a wonderful back patio with a great atmosphere and we really enjoyed it! The food was great and the service perfext!

Very good food. As with all places in Sonoma, fish was over cooked.

Busy. Lovely outdoor space when we moved for dessert to get away from the cacophony of six drunk girls. We were there after a business meeting, so we wanted to debrief. Couldn't hear ourselves think but learned a lot about their sex lives and billionaire boyfriends. Assuming this is an anomaly so will go again.

We went for our anniversary dinner and were greeted with complimentary bottles of champagne. It only got better from there. The food popped with distinctive flavors that made the meal delicious and memorable, and service was friendly and efficient. A great place for a wonderful evening!

The salads were delicious, but our yellow tail was red inside. We couldn't finish it. The server didn't seem to care.

Great dining experience on a HOT day! Normally outside seating would be preferred. Inside might have been a little more comfortable. That said, service and food selection was gastronomically wonderful! From salads to dessert, such a variety. Menu changes daily, true farm to table. All prepared perfectly. Great wine country hidden gem that's been around 11 years. Highly recommend!

An absolute gem somewhat hidden on the Sonoma Plaza. Dinner last night was by far the best meal I have had in Sonoma in some time.

Quaint restaurant with interesting plates. Beautiful patio spot. We tried the curried lentil soup which was to die for (rich flavorful goodness). The watermelon nori, cabbage salad was a unique mix of flavors that worked, and the shrimp pasta was done well. Highly recommend this gem off Sonoma plaza

We love coming to the Harvest Moon Café...it must a secret neighborhood gem on the square because while there is a steady stream of diners, I am always lucky enough to get a table outdoors. The two pepper dish stuffed with beef and shrimp was spicy and delicious...a seasonal treat. And while I'm not always up for swordfish, this was cooked perfectly with a wonderful olive butter and quinoa with broccolini that had me practically licking the plate. The food was so yummy that the table next to us started a conversation about how good the food was and what to order next. The servers are all so kind and efficient, it feels like home at our favorite place to dine.

My husband and I were told to dine here by a local friend. We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and wanted a special place. They gave us a lovely glass of Rose on the house which was a sweet touch. The food was delish and great service too! We were visiting during a hot spell and decided to sit inside. It was a little cramped but cozy enough. We will definitely return and look forward to experiencing the patio next time! Over the moon for Harvest Moon Cafe!

Food was delicious. Fresh salads, the pork and fish dishes were very yummy. The service was great- had a couple different people stop by our table and chat about Sonoma, the food, the wine. Great night. Definitely try to get a patio seat if the weather is nice.

Patio was nice. Very unusual dining selections, quite good, and novel.. Service was excellent, Attentive and friendly. Generous portions. Would be nice if they had beer on tap. Also very limited wine selection given that the restaurant is in Sonoma. Expensive corking fee. Inside is not air-conditioned, so not the place to go if it's hot outside. Standup fan in dining room not exactly professional.

My family and I had an amazing experience at the Harvest Moon Cafe our first night in Sonoma. Everything from the vibe and service to the food and wine was incredible. As a vegan I had plenty of options to choose from and my carnivorous father and sister did well for themselves as well. The outdoor seating was wonderful, although it was a chilly, night the heaters made it a great experience. HIGHLY recommend the Harvest Moon Cafe.

I had the rib eye steak and wife had the fish special (cod)
both were fantastic. Also, dessert was great (peach upside
down cake with blackberry ice cream).

Only drawback was the slow delivery of food to the table
after the order was taken. However, after the server explained
everything to us all was okay. Food was fantastic and worth the
wait.

Highly recommend

Wonderful experience for a girls night out. Server was attentive, but let us chat and take our time. Food was great and they gave us extra plates so we could share without a second thought. The outside patio was perfect for an evening on the Sonoma Square.

We stumbled onto their Wednesday night film series in the outdoor dining area in back, enjoying a reacquaintance with the classic Jean Renoir 1930's "Rules of the Game" while we finished our meal. Great service complemented the interesting appetizers and desserts.

Visiting Sonoma and doing winery tour thing and made a reservation almost a month before our trip after checking it out online. We went by the day before and I requested outside seating and was told by the very unfriendly hostess that it was on a first come /first serve basis but that she'd make not that's what I preferred. The next day, We went 15 minutes early to hopefully increase our chances of siting outside since our reservation was fairly early (7:00) but were seated inside and told (by a different hostess) it'd be at least 30 minutes before any outside seating was available. However, in about five minutes two women came in and asked for an outside table and the hostess took them out to the patio without a word about any wait ! I was upset but didn't want to make a stink so we ordered minimally, ate and left

The food was good, if a little heavy. Staff were very kind and friendly. Disappointed that after making reservations we were seated inside without a hint that we could sit outside. When we asked to sit outside we were told that that is where "everyone wants to sit." Right. That's why I made a reservation.

Harvest Moon was delicious! We sat on the back porch and it was so lovely. Quiet, beautiful, shaded, and very relaxing. Food was delicious - fresh, local, and healthy. I had the salmon with broccolini and chard. My only complaint is the food tastes like it was cooked with too much butter. A little too heavy on the butter - otherwise a fantastic experience!

First night in Sonoma we dined at Harvest Moon. Got good reviews on trip advisor and several other sites. Quaint rustic outdoor patio was lovely. Our server was attentive yet laid back. I got the Hawaiin fish on the menu which was initially overcooked a bit so I sent it back and it was returned to me cooked perfect and delish. My husband's lamb dish was a bit spicey for him with a Mole sauce, but I thought it was very good and meat tender. Great wine selection...id expect nothing less from Sonoma!! Desert was a bit disappointing. Got the s'mores and neither of us thought it was to die for. Loved the black and white silent movie they play on the patio as a back drop!! All in all I would certainly recommend and would return.
