Excellent service. Tasty food. We liked everything about our dinner experience.
Best outdoor dining in the valley....
When we were sat, they told us there were no menus. We had to wait to get the menus. Food and atmosphere are very good.
We took our out of town family to Harvest on July 5th thinking it would be a great place for someone that lives outside of the Vail Valley. Long story short, it took us over 2 hours to get food and after a long day of rafting, that was a horrible experience. They just told us that they had a bad day with a server getting injured and then forgot to turn in our food order once they took it. We watched everyone one else in the restaurant get served, even folks arriving after us.
It unfortunate, as they have such a beautiful deck and view but that was one of the most frustrating dinners I've ever had and it was very disappointing that we took the family there as a special treat.
Second time in a row we had to wait over an hour for our food. Waitress kept coming to our table to tell us it would just be 5 min...then 8 minutes...then Danielle came to our table to apologize. Then we offered free drinks. Declined. Then offered free dessert. Declined. Cmon just get it right. So tired of having to apologize to our guests for this restaurant. Seemed like thing were moving in the right direction but these last 2 visits have been totally embarrassing for us vis a vis guests. We cannot take friends here an.y more. Period. Too bad.
Omg this was horrible and embarrassing. We took out of town guests and waited over an hour for our food to arrive. Had to apologize many times to our guests.
The walleye fish tacos were very tasty. My husband had the BBQ ribs, very good and a ton of ribs for an appetizer portion. We sat outside. Great view of the mountains. We will return.
The only complaint was that the deck was right above the pool, and the sound of children screaming was annoying.
The restaurant was empty, except for us and a table of 9. This totally overwhelmed the restaurant. Service was horrible and the food took over an hour.
While they comped our entrees, not worth sitting around waiting for lunch sandwiches.
Food was very good. Service is improving. Second visit this season.
Wonderful food and great service sitting on the lovely deck looking at the Colorado Rockies made for a great night!
Good food, but over-priced. We waited almost an hour to get our food. Lovely setting in a nice golf club off the beaten path.
The food was great but the service was unbearably slow.
Great food and service, especially the steak and frites! Needs more variety.
Was recommended by friends, and they were right on. Great atmosphere and very good food. A nice evening.
Noise level was too high. To many hard surfaces and too open.
Service great. Waiter Rob terrific as always. Same for Danielle, the manager. Food excellent.
Everything about this place is exquisite. We will continue to dine here as long as it remains in business.
We did not have a good time at Harvest. I think it was your waiter first day on the job and not to his fault but he needed a lot more training. I think most of the staff needed training. The food was hit or miss. My wife missed with the short ribs. Usually if cooked correctly you would not need a knife, but she did. My Steak was well prepare, so I hit. The Clam Chowder was very good. We order the beets salad as well. The stems from the seasonal leaves need to be removed. Could not eat them with out look like a fool and making a mess. We will not be going back.
Great experience, beautiful cabin feel by the fire. Prices were great, only $, all main dishes less than $25. Service was great. Had a lovely time! Also have great weekly specials, if we knew we would of been in earlier in the week.
Good food. A bit noisy
We felt very welcome by all the Staff. They were friendly, happy, and thoughtful. Dinner was so delicious! Both the clam chowder and pumpkin soup received rave reviews from our guests. The short ribs, pork chop and chicken were fabulous too. The dining room was lovely with a fireplace and attractive lighting, and festive for the super bowl weekend. The restaurant touts itself as a family restaurant so we were not surprised to see so many families with children.
Has reduced menu options significantly from last year. Food is nowhere near as good. Won't rush back.
This restaurant has a terrific setting and bar area but cannot get the food or sevice right. They completely need to revamp their restaurant management to meet the needs and expectations of their guests.
The restaurant has significantly improved from a year ago. We enjoyed our meal
Average in every way except the dining room. Cool architectural space.
Had an early reservation for seven family members during the week following Christmas (to include one toddler.) Food was very good. Would recommend ordering appetizers if you are especially hungry. "Happy hour" until 6:30 p.m. prices were exceptionally reasonable for both drinks and food . Your dinner will not be rushed. We ordered from the children's menu (which had several good choices) at the same time as our appetizers which I would recommend. Our server was both friendly and polite and knowledgable and made good recommendations. Sat next to the fireplace which was warm and inviting as is the whole open dining room/bar area. Some guests were seated by the open kitchen/grill. This restaurant has been renovated w/in the last several years so is clean and inviting.
Love this neighborhood spot and that you don’t have to be a member to enjoy it. Great, easy spot to grab a drink or bite in singletree. Good for games and beautiful views.
Harvest has the best out door dining and views in the Vail Valley. The recent remodel created a wonderful open and bright atmosphere. The menu is a combination of club food and creative selections is great.
The fall views were stupendous. The service was not pushy and on target. The burgers are great. Brussel sprouts very tasty. The peach cobbler was perfect.
WE Went to harvest and we’re pleasantly surprised with the Sunday family dinner buffet. Great way to have a good meal when you don’t have lot of time- great salads, chicken, short ribs and pies! For 25 bucks for adults and 12 for kids- it’s a good deal on a Sunday night when we didn’t feel like cooking.
We chose Harvest based on Vail Valley Dining Guide 2017 sample menu. On arrival it was more of a golf clubhouse struggling to survive. Sample menu entrees were gone in favor of burger/fried food. We had lamb burger for $13. 00 which was 6 oz at best and dry. 2/3 of plate was fries - no alternative to fries. We will not return.
Since Harvest remodeled their patio, the ambiance and visuals are even better. Service was attentive and pleasant in just the right proportions. The falafel wrap and home made potato chips were delicious. Good after meal coffee, too.
Best dining VIEW in Vail Valley. Backdrop of upper valley similar to CM Russell paintings.
Both menu and cuisine are simply drawn and very delicious.
We were very disappointed. I am not the type who often provides online reviews, having done so maybe only a handful of times.
Kelly Liken is a spectacular chief and we had for years frequented her restaurant, named Restaurant Kelly Liken, when we visit Vail (where we have a vacation home). We were disappointed that Kelly closed her restaurant a couple years ago as it was our favorite in Vail. We had heard that she had opened a new restaurant, Harvest, and had been meaning to go for a while. Last Saturday was our first time.
We knew that Harvest would be less fancy than her previous restaurant, but the menu was far below what any of us expected from a world famous chief. Suffice it to say that the menu was what you would expect to see at a grill at a municipal golf course -- sandwiches, a couple salads, but a few interesting appetizers.
If you are looking for a place to get a turkey sandwich and fries with a great view, then Harvest is for you. But, do not expect anything resembling top notch food or service. For example, our waiter was a 19 year old young man who until 2 months earlier had never worked in the food service industry and apparently had not received any guidance/supervision.
Unfortunately, we will not go back to Harvest and cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a decent dinner. A good place to grab a sandwich after a round of golf -- certainly; but nothing approaching the name Kelly Liken had established for herself.
More like a bar than a restaurant! Lightning was poor, menu entrees was small , service was not good and it was noisy. Will not visit again.
Service remains a big problem at this restaurant, starting with no hostess available upon arrival, to inexperienced server, to overall lack of warmth and attentiveness to customers as being of value!
The menu had only 6 entrees, which included fish and chips and Mac and cheese. The chicken and salmon dishes we ordered weren't very creative or flavorful. For a chef with 3 James Beard nominations, this was very disappointing.
Been to harvest for years, but this is not the Harvest we remember. Last time there it was associated with Kelly Liken, but now that she is gone it is exactly what it purports to be, golf club dinning.
Dined at Harvest with friends and a family member. They thoroughly enjoyed all the food and made remarks about how relaxing the atmosphere was. "Happy to get away from Vail and out to a place more open with a great ambiance."
Harvest is a golf club restaurant with far better than average food. The dining room has a large patio and indoor tables overlook a beautiful golf course with great mountain views as well. The menu is not broad, but there is a good variety. Our food was well-prepared and served hot. A cioppino plate was outstanding with generous quantities of individually prepared seafood.
