The food was incredible!
Awesome waiter, great ambiance
Service was impeccable as always. Food is wonderful and yet still seems to get better every time we visit!
Food is always high quality. IT was a quiet evening—spring break. But we didn’t mind because we wanted to have good conversation. Bartender was very nice helpful and appropriately attentive.
Great find thru Open table.
Food was amazing.
Will definitely visit again when we come to visit our college kids.
Food was delicious, wine recommendation was great. Service was excellent. Parking is very easy if you use the valet. We're definitely coming back!
Excellent ambiance and setting. Some food was a little overpriced by standards of other restaurants in the area. Too many servers asked repeatedly if everything was ok, causing interruptions. Overall, very good.
Delicious food, beautifully presented, and the service was some of the best we have seen in Cambridge. Looking forward to another enjoyable evening at Harvest!
The food is good - upscale veggie and grains seem to be their focus. The services was disappointing. The wait staff was overpoweringly self-important in a way that really interfered with the meal. I think they are trying too hard and serving a 2 course meal in less than 45 minutes was such a rush that I won't be back.
A nearby table of seven shrieking women made the environment almost unbearable. Whatever happened to using one’s indoor voice?
Wonderful experience. Attentive service and great food!
So good. So dependable. Love it.
Fantastic meal and service!
The food was wonderful. The servers made egregious errors that left us both unhappy with the experience. 1. When the entree was brought, the server picked up our dirty plates and stacked them in his arms, while setting our entrees down.
2. Although there were only 2 of us, the server cleared one entree plate before the other person had finished eating.
3. The server then came back and tried to take the plate of a person who was still eating.
4. While they were still eating, the server handed the check to the other person, whose plate had been taken too early.
Really terrible, particularly the stacking of the plates and putting the check down before we were done!
This was our second time eating at Harvest. It was a memorable meal in every way. Thank you for such a lovely experience.
Wonderful before theater venue. Interesting food. Low noise level even when full.
My college roommate was in town and it was restaurant week, so we settled on Harvest for a leisurely lunch. What a great choice! We opted for the prix fixe restaurant menu choosing the apple fennel soup to start, followed by cassoulet, and frangipane dessert. The apple fennel soup was simply elegant, much like a fine wine. As we savored it, a range of flavors developed across our palates. What a superb gastronomic experience! The cassoulet arrived piping hot. The duck leg and upper joint were perfectly done--crispy skin and moist and richly flavorful meet. Paired with the hearty bean stew, it was a feast. The frangipane cake was just a complex as the soup, dense and tart with the lemon curd and wonderfully paired with a wafer thin coconut cookie and a perfectly sized small portion of cinnamon ice cream. Even the decaf coffee was excellent. Each course was both outrageously delicious and artfully presented. My only disappointment was that the service was a bit too rushed for the amount of talking my lunch partner and I needed to do to catch up on months of happenings in our lives. The cassoulet came before we had finished our soup. Otherwise, everything was poetic.
Wonderful place! Hope to come again next time I’m in Boston!
This is the best restaurant in Harvard Square. There isn't anything about this restaurant that is not perfect! I recommend The Harvest to anyone who appreciates unique and delicious food.
Thank you for a wonderful meal! We loved the fennel apple soup and the cod with delicious chowder. the service was excellent.
I took a group of six colleagues to dinner a few nights ago and was very disappointed. The menu was uninviting (two fish dishes, hake and haddock, neither a very high quality fish; too much red meat); in fact there was not one dish I really wanted to order. I ended up with the hake and found it edible only. A month ago, when the menu was the very same, I ordered a winter vegetable stew. It too lacked any sparkle. The desserts, by contrast, were excellent - 6 of us shared 3 - but they added over $30 to the bill. The service was professional, but not personal or warm or friendly. Can we get the waiters to smile, please, and be less stuffy? The ambiance was, well, a lot of older people. Not very inviting to a younger crowd. I ended up paying $350 for a non-memorable experience (that included only $60 for one bottle of wine). Never again.
A really fine meal, served during Dine Out week, so a great value as well.
Great place with Interesting menu choices. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Haddock was moist and delicious served with seasonal vegetables. Nice specialty cocktail menu. Great for before the theater.
I went here for the first time during Dine Out Boston. The fixed menu was amazing; along the three courses (carrot tagliatelle, arctic char, brioche frangipane), the experience just kept getting better and better. Service was excellent, as well.
Relatives from out of town
I love the space, the attentive service and consistently excellent food.
Love the deconstructed dessert for the birthday!
Very accommodating and lovely food. Good for students and parents.
This spot sets the standard, marrying “foodie” culinary height with the elegance and crack service that people of the world expect from Boston. Bravo to GM Jeff and his team.
We usually share an appetizer, but last time, we enjoyed the scallops so much that we each wanted one. We shared a copious and delicious beet salad and a main dish of hake, octopus, and calamari. YUM!
Music was a little loud, but perhaps because we were in the corner by the speakers. The food was AMAZING and the waitress was top notch. Thank you!!
Harvest remains such a consistently excellent place for a meal. We’ve been going there for years. This visit was for brunch. We had a very good experience. The only reason this isn’t a straight five is that the chili was not as good as everything else. Hard to drain it for all palettes. Otherwise so good.
We had brunch for four, all of us with very different desires and all pleased with choices and end result. Harvest is very comfortable and has both reliable brunch options as well as new and interesting dishes. A la cart instead of a pricey buffet is a deal in the end. Will go back for brunch. We are regulars for dinner, this was first for brunch.
Delicious lobster rolls in a cozy setting! Everyone enjoyed their meal
The food was artful and delicious. The service attentive but not intrusive. Really one of best dinners and dining experience I’ve had in Boston. Highly recommend it and looking forward to going back!
Fantastic dinner that exceeded expectations. Truly a fine dining experience.
The Sunday roast was excellent. They were very good about splitting dishes so that we could try a variety of dishes.
Harvest had some of the best service we’ve ever experienced. Knowledgeable, kind and accommodating. The wine selection was outstanding and the food was just as good. The venison was cooked to perfection and the pastry chef was amazing. This was our first time here and we plan on going back.
All of the food was delicious and everyone in our party was well-satisfied. I thought that the Half-Tower of seafood could have been a little more generous. There were some guests present who looked like they were dressed for ditch-digging. Maybe some kind of dress code might be called for?!
The noise level in the back room is delightful. The service is attentive. We both loved the food and the atmosphere. For one of the oldest restaurants in Cambridge it is impressive that they have stayed on their game, rather than becoming a boring standby. Well done. Keep up the good work. Is it inexpensive? No. But that is not a surprise. The wine list is good too. Enjoy.
