Phenomenal experience! From the service to the atmosphere to every bite of food I had -- hands down the best birthday dinner I've ever had. Thank you so much!!
Harvest is our restaurant of choice when we visit Cambridge, it is , pretty, friendly, comfortable and the food is creative, unfussy and always good.
Great food! Can't wait to go back when the patio is open.
Server was great and energetic! Food taste great. The brunch menu was limited, but all four things we tried were great. Highly recommend the pastry board!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with friends and family. All our meals were tasty and well prepared. We especially liked the venison and risotto, as well as the seafood boil.
The food was excellent and so was the service. The venison rates among the best we have had.
My Mom saw this restaurant on a list of restaurants to check out in Massachusetts. We went for lunch and couldn’t be happier. The service was outstanding, atmosphere was great (fireplaces, plenty of room at your table) and the food was exceptional. Do yourself a favor and go here!!
The new lunch menu is not nearly as good as the old lunch menu! (please lose the greasy potato chips).
We chose this because it is near a concert we were attending at Sanders Theater, so we were dining early. The food was very good -- not super special, but very good. The service was pleasant but the wait for the main course was extremely long. Not dangerously so for our plans bc we left a lot of time, but it was very slow.
Had a great evening and meal. There over 2 hours and time stood still. Attentive but not intrusive waiter and unique food.
We dined at Harvest for Valentines day. The experience was wonderful. Food was top notch, ambience and staff were outstanding. We will be returning soon.
Food was fine but not very creative. Service was excellent. Very romantic ambiance.
Came here for a date night. Promptly shown to table. Ordered two cocktails, an appetizer, two entrees, and two sides, and we were asked if we wanted bread. Though we answered yes, it didn't ever come. Cocktails came promptly and were good. The appetizer of Beatrix brie arrived, and it was excellent and a highlight of the evening. As our appetizer was cleared, we ordered a second round of drinks to come with our entrees. Our entrees arrived a bit later, but our sides weren't there. We had to remind our waiter that we had ordered them, and though we had hoped they were merely forgotten in the window by the runner, they actually hadn't been put in at all. It took a good chunk of time for them to come out, at which point our half-eaten entrees had gotten a bit lukewarm. The carrot and goat cheese side was another highlight of the evening, but it would have been much more enjoyable matched with the entrees we wanted to mix it in with. Overall, inattentive and forgetful service negatively impacted what would have otherwise been a pretty excellent meal and rendered it just pretty good.
Nice setting, bland food. That sums it up. Harvest disappoints more than it delights these days.
We enjoyed out lunch. The cocktails were good. Our lobster rolls were fresh and delicious. Salads were tasty. Our server, Jasmine, was just right.
A happy dining experience all around.
Cheers to Harvest!
After all these years Harvest continues to deliver excellent and creative food. The staff is very helpful and attentive without being overly so.
Overall, a very nice evening.
We had to wait a bit too longs for the table, and the service was a bit off, but overall, it was lovely.
The most disappointing aspect was the bar-very inattentive and a bit brusque.
As my son is a bartender, I know the stress of that job, but also how it should be done...Friday night was not done properly!
Given that experience, I would NOT recommend sitting/eating at the bar.
Friendly staff, efficient and well timed service. Food was excellent, best monkfish I've ever had. Seafood tower appetizer tasted like they just jumped out of the water. Squash and burrata was unique in my experience, and delicious. Wonderful meal.
Celebrating birthdays with friends we picked Harvest. Our table was in the corner of a glass walled room with a view of the fireplace. From the bread, to the wine, dinner and dessert it was the best experience I’ve had in a long time.
Steak was delicious.
Waiter was aware of theater times and ensured timely service
From the moment we entered the a little out of the way restaurant we were treated warm friendly and professionally by all of the staff. We sat far from the open kitchen, a little quieter location but we were never ignored or left wanting of service. The wine list is excellent and extensive couple that with a very knowledgeable staff and wine selection was a most pleasant experience. We had several shared appetisers which were all very good particularly the pork pate’ . Main course were also excellent, stunning presentation and well balanced.
All and all a great dinner, in my opinion the best Harvard square has to offer.
Nice place - food could be significantly better
Food was absolutely amazing, from first course to dessert. Our server couldn't seem to be bothered with us. Our very standard meal, without alcohol, somehow took over 2 hours. The server kept mentioning and apologizing for "the delay" yet everyone around us seemed to be moved through with no hassle. Our pear galette dessert took 30 minutes to arrive after ordering. The server apologized after 20 minutes of waiting, but it still took another 10 to arrive. This was not warm, so it couldn't have been baked fresh. It was a tart with some ice cream, so nothing requiring fresh making. Our server no explanation whatsoever for this inexplicable delay and no offer to compensate. All of the tables around us received their desserts within minutes of ordering. It's really sad when the service can really sour the enjoyment of a meal at an institution that really should be an occasion.
We were headed to the ART with my parents. The evening was a Christmas present for them. We reserved at Harvest because it is near the ART and we did not want them to have to walk far from dinner.
I was very pleased with our waitress and the food. It was delicious and we made it out in plenty of time to get to the theater in a relaxed manner.
Excellent food and great service
We go there pre- theatre and always enjoy ourselves. They are most attentive to our time constraints and even give a discount for theatre goers!
We ordered the falafel sandwich for lunch, and strangely enough the falafel was the worst I ever had, greasy toasted bread, bland recipe, and chips out of bag, there was a spear of pickles with it, not at all the expected quality, we ended leaving half of it though we were famished
It was a great experience. The food was excellent (the duck on the menu was perfectly cooked and so tasty!); the service was top-notch (very efficient but not overbearing); the decor very attractive.
Plus it was very easy to have a conversation, as the noise level was quite low. A huge plus!!
Great food and service
We went there and ordered the Steak and Frites off the bar menu. I wonder why with such a great steak, why the french fries are not crunchy and crispy but rather limp and soggy. Maybe they can up the quality of the fries to match the steak which was nicely prepared, flame broiled to perfection and really excellent as was the salad.
Excellent all around. One of our party has severe allergies and the chef bent over backwards to accommodate. We eat out a lot with this person and I have never seen a chef do such an outstanding job in accommodating. Everything else was excellent: food, wine list and service.
