The restaurant was more than helpful in meeting my vegan request on the pasta dish I wanted.
Compliments to the chef and gratitude to the waiter !!

We were late to our reservation and appreciated that our hostess held our table. This was very nice. The fold was good and our server was very good. It was, however, very cramped and noisy.

Prices high for amount of food served: specifically the soup and the salmon course. The Chili looked ample. Desserts were much too sweet, and the "bread pudding" offering bore no resemblance in flavor or texture to any bread putting any of us have eaten.

Everything was as expected except for the bartender. He was either highly distracted, disengaged or simply incompetent. It would not stop us from returning, but if Daniel is behind the bar, I would not stay.

I took a work colleague out to a business lunch here at harvest and found the food to be impressive as usual, I have been coming here for almost 20 years now. the waiter must have been new, as he was not very assured of anything on the menu, and the wait times for everything from drinks, to food, to dessert was unacceptably long. these things happen, but it was surprising that the service was slowed down so much, luckily we didn't have any afternoon appts so it was ok to have the meal run long. overall a good restaurant.

Love the location and history of the harvest - once was at the design epicenter in its day - always a great meal, warm cozy feel in the winter and a great patio I enjoy in the warmer weather. I look for any excuse to visit the Harvest - always have,

We have been eating at this restaurant since it opened. It has gone through many incarnations, all wonderful. However, this latest incarnation is by far at the top of the list. While the space has not changed much, making it a place you feel at home, the cuisine and the offerings have changed keeping pace with the times. Last night's experience was really tops. Our server was one we have enjoyed for years. Beverages were delicious. The food experience was outstanding as the presentation was eye candy and the food delicious. Happy to know I can eat there often as it is in my neighborhood.

This restaurant is very popular and has been for many years. Unfortunately, their reputation is exploited and their charges are out of line with the quality of the meal, which was good but not exceptional. We did have a special for new year's eve and expected a higher than normal cost, but the actual cost was unreasonably high. The ambience was fine, but, again, not exceptional in any way. We would not be inclined to return for a dinner. I have had lunches at The Harvest before, and might do so again after making a cost/benefit appraisal, since equal quality is widely available in Cambridge at more reasonable prices.

Lovely New Year's pre-theater dinner, however, disappointed in the plating of my entree. My rib eye steak was tasty, but very sparsely garnished with the vegetables described on the menu. Thought it looked sparsely plated, but really knew it was when I turned to see the same dish being served to the couple to my right, piled high with the veggies and sauce as promised.

My friend and I have been coming on New Year's Day for brunch/lunch - what better way to ring in a new year than with great food in a lovely setting? This year, NYD was booked so we opted for the day before. We asked to sit by the window and were told that they had so many reservations that they couldn't seat us there (we also had reservations). We were the only diners in the restaurant for the first 30 minutes or so and when the next diners arrived, they were seated at the table directly next to us. It was odd and thoughtless, given an empty dining room; they could've at least been seated one table over.

Roasted pumpkin soup was lovely. My salmon was good albeit a bit salty.

The food was superb and I will be thinking about how delicious it was whenever I'm eating my meals at home. The cannelloni with mushrooms was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The service was perfect and I can't think of anything to complain about.

Very disappointing! Came here for lunch with two clients , same time of year, two years ago and loved it. Came back last year and thought it was good but not great. This year it was downright awful. The lunch started with cold corn bread and when I inquired about the crusty bread that usually came with the corn bread, I was told it was unavailable that day. Not off to a good start.
I ordered the whole wheat paparadelle with pesto, arugula and braised chicken. I got a sticky lump of noodles with no pesto flavor and loaded with salt. I like a lot of salt so for me to think it is too salty is really saying something! There were a few bits of chicken but the lack of flavor in the dish was what really stood out. Both of my clients had hamburgers. One said it wasn't as good as prior years and the other said she ordered it because nothing else appealed to her on the menu. All in all, it was not an experience I will look forward to repeating next year and will find a new restaurant to them to.

Beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous courtyard. Outside fireplace was burning so beautiful view of snow on ground and roaring fire outside. Delicious food and outstanding dessert menu. Very nice restaurant for a date night or special occasion. Bar looks wonderful for apps and drinks too!

One last nice meal before my brother went overseas with the Army for a new job. First time bringing my husband to Boston. Our server was fantastic, the food was great in really interesting bowls (2 of our party had soup and we loved the bowls) and the tea pots were precious. It was so cozy inside and we won’t hesitate to come back next time we’re in the area!!

We enjoyed a quiet dinner before the Theatre with our son who was visiting from California. Our son is vegan and my husband is hard of hearing, so eating out can be difficult. The Harvest solved all these problems. We were seated in a quiet room away from the bar with a crackling fire and our son enjoyed a mushroom appetizer and a sea bass dinner. Our dinners were also delicious and the waiter made sure we were done in time to make a 7:30pm show. He even remembered to stamp our parking ticket!

Usually a very good place; this time the service was curt and sparse, hurried and generally inattentive; the lobster was not as good as on previous visits and the little veggie pastry that accompanied it was too heavily salted to eat. The people at the next table were bolting their meal (in order to get to the theater on time) after having waited almost an hour to be served; the noise level was intense - I could hear the people at the other tables more clearly than the person with whom I was dining. I'll certainly never go again on a Sat. night.

It was obviously a busy time for the restaurant, 12:30 on a Monday, but it should not have taken 45 minutes to deliver our first course order of soup to the table. Our entrees did not come for an hour. That said, the cauliflower and squash gratin was delicious as was the leek and potato soup. Unfortunately we were on a deadline and we're not able to finish our meals. A disappointing experience.

Harvest is our traditional site for a great holiday office lunch. It did not disappoint although the length of our outing was about 30 minutes longer than in prior years. It didn't seem that busy so perhaps service and/or the kitchen were just a bit slow. But, the food was excellent as always!!

We made our first visit to Harvest for a special occasion, which was noted on the reservation but not acknowledged by the restaurant. I can only think our waiter was untrained, as any alternative would be inexcusable. We had to request the ability to order everything from drinks to entrees. After waiting 20 minutes for drinks, he spilled the entire tray on my husband. Accidents happen, and we felt badly for him. However, for having to sit through the meal soaking wet, not even my husband's drink was comped. The food was tasty, although quite heavy on what tasted like Liquid Smoke. Difficult to eat appetizers with menus still in our laps (we hadn't yet realized that we had to ask to order everything). Finally, after bringing dessert, our waiter never came back, but was occupied with a large table nearby. We had to get up and ask the cashier for the check, and when it wasn't picked up, get up and carry it back to the cashier. Overall, a big disappointment.

Fantastic restaurant for an unharmed business lunch

I had a business meeting on Sunday for lunch and your restaurant worked well. Not all the tables were full so we were able to take our time (3.5 hrs!!) and I really appreciate the help staff not rushing us ( I left a big tip). Usually I have these meetings at Henrietta’s but I wasn’t able to get a reservation so U went to Harvest. I am glad I did- I think Harvest is a much better set up for a business meal. Based on my table’s response, the pumpkin soup, apple fritters and Caesar salad were great. The oysters were okay but not exceptional and the OJ was disappointingly not fresh squeezed. Despite The OJ disappointment, I highly recommended Harvest.

We have a standing December dinner date at Harvest before the Revels each year. This year, we ran late for our reservation, but Harvest graciously accommodated us despite a theatre-going crowd. The food was reliably delicious -- both my New England boil and my husband's venison were perfectly done, and the pate appetizer was to die for! Our server was incredibly gracious and helpful, and got us in and out in time for the theatre without rushing us at all.

Had a wonderful time with family during a Pre-Christmas dinner celebration. The food was delicious with beautiful presentation. The kids meals were awesome! steak & fries. So good, I was sneaking my daughters fries from her plate.
The atmosphere was cozy, inviting & warm. They had the fireplace going outside and in the other room. We had a comfortable oval table for the 6 of us, felt like home!
For dessert we had the buche-de-noel, it was more like a piece of art! So, beautiful, that I took a picture of it (which I rarely do at restaurants). We were told that their pastry chef was competing on the food network. We also ordered the cheese platter for dessert, it came with fruit. All delicious.
We would definitely return to this restaurant, the food was high quality, great service & cozy atmosphere. Good for business or leisure.
