Food and service was excellent. Be sure to make a reservation!
Food was good but not amazing, service wasn’t good at all. We had reservation and still had to wait 10-15 min despite the empty tables they had. Finally our table was cramped in the corner of back room , noisy and crowded. Not sure why they sat everyone in that room. They are Not so friendly either except the young gentleman that was trying to make it better for all the guests. Overall I’m not going there again, it’s not worth the effort.
Wonderful staff, nice ambience, and excellent food. Try the seafood boil.
We have been dining at the Harvest since it opened, decades ago, through new chefs, seasonal menu changes, and always creative delicious meals.
The simplicity of the menu belies the flavors beneath.
Had a nice reunion here and Harvest is very convenient in Harvard Square
Lovely place to celebrate a birthday with friends and family. The food was creative and delicious. The desserts were works of art. Service was attentive and friendly.
This is an old favorite where the food is fine and the location is splendid.
The experience from start to finish was great! We were greeted warmly, seated right away, our waiter was patient as we took extra time to order, food was great, nice presentation. Can’t wait to go back!
Taking our niece there for the first time.
A favorite, always superb with excellent service!
Had tickets to A.R.T Sat. Matinee and was mistakenly convinced that you served Sat. Brunch.
(We have many times Had Sunday Brunch before a matinee.). You were offering the Business
Lunch, which we found too limiting.
Many restaurants in Boston and NY offer Brunch on Saturday AND Sunday. A suggestion that
you offer Saturday Brunch in addition to Sunday.
You have an attractive website, but it did not specify that, currently, the Brunch is only on Sunday.
I think I have been dining at Harvest for 40 years.
Best wishesfor a Happy Holiday season.
Have been to Harvest many times over the years, but recent experience was poor...doubt I will go again. We did get seated at a quiet table, upon second request. The wait person was bordering on rude. The bread (in basket) was stale. Small portions for a lot of $. The sausage in ravioli dish was greasy. The broth in "NE seafood stew" was tasty and fresh, but overall portions of shellfish & fish was closer to appetizer size.
Had their Thanksgiving Pre-Fixe meal, and it was one of the best dishes in a long time. Server seem to forget about us at times, it was the end of the night. But otherwise overall excellent
Great staff, and the food was delicious.
My sister and I went for Thanksgiving Dinner and we were blown away. Both the service and the food was impeccable. I ordered the carrot ginger soup for my first course, the Misty Knoll Farm turkey breast dinner for my second farms, and the apple pie doughnut for my third course. I had absolutely no complaints about any aspect of the dinner.
Came here for Thanksgiving. Really enjoyed our time here. Attention was great, food was really good, and the place was beautifully decorated!
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving at the Harvest again. I was especially glad to see the more traditional version of turkey and trimmings this year with plenty of cranberry sauce. The shrimp cocktail is always superb and the wine pairings are exquisite.
Delicious dinner - just a little pricey. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.
Nice and cozy dinner with group of 4. Always enjoy the food and the atmosphere there.
Excellent food. Nice presentation and attentive service. One strike against them is typical for so many establishments. The tables are too close and one feels wedged between other diners.
Outside of the cramped seating, it was an excellent meal.
Waiter didn’t explain any of the dishes and seemed uninterested in conversation. Very wedged into the table for two we had.
Lovely restaurant. Oysters fabulous. Steak dinner fair. Service fine. Wine list good. A little overpriced.
It's easy to think of Harvest as an old familiar - but it's a terrific restaurant. My lunch was memorably delicious; the service was impeccable (friendly and thoughtful, unpretentious, efficient); its rooms are comfortable and very pleasant; and it's one of few restaurants in town where you can actually have a peaceful conversation. Thank you, Harvest!
Overall good experience. Tasty food (though a bit pricy).
Harvest never disappoints. A Harvard Square classic, the food is fabulous. It can be rather noisy, which is my only complaint.
Lively lovely place with excellent food and service. We had two guests who arrived late at different times. We so appreciated our waiter going with the crazy flow of our family. Excellent farm to table food with superb cocktails and wine.
Our daughter recommend this restaurant for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Our daughter graduated earlier this year from the Harvard Graduate School of Education on Appian Way, just down the street from the restaurant.
She was not wrong. The general manager greeted us at the door. We had a great waiter named Matt who was helpful in navigating the menu, he was very knowledgeable. My wife had the Haddock which was excellent. I had the venison with a small apple pie and red cabbage. Extraordinaire!!
We had a Creme Brûlée for dessert. On our dessert dish, written in chocolate was “Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary””
What a great night. Our daughter Laura was correct that Harvest is a very special restaurant.
Thank you Harvest Restaurant

Our second trip here after a hiatus of several months. Food was as good as we remembered.
Has last-minute reservations because of a flight delay into Boston. The food was delicious; some of the best haddock I ever had. Nice tower of seafood for appetizer. Wasn't pleased with the charcuterie, though. Not much meat and lots of the small dill pickles to "fill" the plates. Would not order again. My husband and daughter ordered the steak and was quite pleased. The desserts were overall good. My daughter had the chocolate cake, which she loved. The creme brulee was good but not a traditional creme brulee, so that was a bit disappointing. The apricot sorbet that was served with the creme burlee was outstanding. I would just order that! The waiter was attentive but not what I would call friendly. Great restaurant for a nicer but not stuffy dinner. There seemed to be several business people and professors eating dinner there (based on overheard conversations). Overall, we were pleased and would return and recommend.
Had a fabulous dinner. Very accommodating for special diet needs. Great service. Friendly staff. Excellent by the wine glass selection. Food was delicious, hot and came out at a good pace. Wish I was in Cambridge more often to enjoy this restaurant.
Indifferent waiter at best. Out of many items and stated as if our problem. Cold donut dessert - was a disaster. One bite - stale. No response. Seasonal stew was over cooked. I have been before but can not recommend now.
This was a birthday celebration that spanned two hours with two guests arriving at different times. Harvest handled the complication very well and everyone had a great meal and a wonderful time.
I hadn't been to Harvest in years. it was great. Had the short rib special as well as a beet salad.
Harvest is one of the very best restaurants I have experienced in Boston, and the dishes are as creative and visually appealing as they are tasty and satisfying. Prices are at the upper end, but unlike many popular restaurants with big reputations, Harvest is full value for what they charge, and serve.

Best meal in a long time! The new chef is doing a great job job. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert!
Harvest was excellent! We enjoyed the food, ambiance, and location. Can't wait to go back!
Everything we had was delicious. It was the perfect place for a three generation reunion.
Harvest offered a delicious retreat for six "foodies" from Chicago recently. Between us, we sampled imaginative seafood entrees, in addition to more robust venison and beef dishes. Each came piping hot and beautifully garnished. Service was excellent. The chef guarantied excellent healthy choices for one in our group with multiple food allergies. The wine list contained exceptional and well-priced options. We can't wait to return to Harvest on our next trip to Boston.
