Happy Mother's Day! Harvest will be serving a very special 3-course Prix Fixe menu for $65 per person on Mother's Day. We also do require credit card guarantees on these busy holidays. Thank you, we look forward to seeing you!

The cost was exorbitant considering the mediocre quality of some of the food and uneven quality of all of the food. The best dishes were the Oysters (can't mess that up) and the dessert (lemon tart). The service was strange. Not bad, but very strange and uncomfortable. And the food was a huge disappointment, and at very high prices. You can do much better than this in Cambridge. Harvest has gone downhill, way downhill. Go to Fat Hen for a great value and consistently excellent food and service.
Absolutely phenomenal brunch. Food was exceptional and prices very reasonable for the quality, care, location and innovativeness. Service was exceptional; beautiful ambiance. There was a pop-up donut event, too, which was very exciting and special. A better brunch than any we have had in town in terms of food, experience and originality (compared to Cafe Luna, Trident, Tatte, Flour, etc). We will return here often!
The food was excellent, and so were the cocktails.
My only gripe was that on a Saturday night, at 8:45pm, the place was half empty. It took us 45 minutes after ordering to even get our appetizers. Over an hour before we had our entrees. There was one large group in attendance which our waiter put the blame for the kitchen getting backed up.
Our waiter was attentive and did proactively apologize for the delay, but still. Saturday night with the restaurant half empty! Our appetizer was a cheese plate that doesn't involve any cooking or baking.
We felt like an after thought with our server. It was later. But no excuse.
Small portions.....well... the ‘potato/sidestepped’ portion was very small portioned. I’d call it ‘scant’ when ITS POTATO.... food mains were out of the world good.
Top notch service, friendly staff, delicious ingredients. A Harvard Square classic. Cozy and classy.
Highly recommend for outstanding food and cocktails, great service, lovely setting. The patio area is now open and the new Spring menu is fabulous. The spring onion risotto with morels is pretty special.
The food for lunch was excellent; the New England clam chowder the best I've had in years. But the service was slow and inattentive. It's a nice lunch spot if you have lots of time and do not mind having to wave down the waiter to place your order and to get the check.
I really enjoy this place and return whenever I go back to Cambridge. Always great food and friendly atmosphere. We had chicken and swordfish off the refreshed menu, and great oysters. Server and sommelier were excellent. Interesting wine list. Two suggestions: bring back the veal chops and add Aberlour to your single malt choices. Thanks for maintaining great quality year after year.
Harvest is at home and luxurious refuge, and certainly a splurge for a friend
love the Sunday brunch.
Food great and the relaxing atmosphere is perfect for a Sunday.
Food excellent. A bit noisy. Attractive no more to say. If you require words to fit your parameters people won’t do reviews.
I have been looking forward to The Harvest since being a graduate student at Harvard 20 years ago. Fast forward to 2018 and I - now with wife and child in tow - was really excited to finally go to the Harvest. As an architect, the space is particularly important to the modernist architecture movement. It was nice to see that the famous outdoor patio remains as truthful to its legendary stature. Now that’s where everything was relatively flat - from service to the overall quality of the meal. Servers and wait staff seemed somewhat unprepared. My meal was a bit greasy and heavy. Similar response from my spouse. In all, great to be there, but hope for a better performance from the staff and kitchen in the next round. The Harvest has been one of the few originals left standing in Harvard Sq and as an alum and local, I sincerely wish them the best and will be rooting for The Harvest to be around for another half century!
Appetizers and entree excellent. Dessert weaker. I only had sorbet but wafer extra puny. An edible flower or herb sprig pairing would've lifted presentation. Fantastic service, from the second we stepped through the door.
I had venison that was superb.
Passion fruit dessert was light and great to share.
The food was both beautifully plated and delicious. We went there for the Boston Dine-Out week, and all of the prix fixe options that we had were delicious - and that is coming from 2 vegetarians! The ambiance and service was also just as fantastic as the food. Definitely recommend a trip to Harvard for this one!
We had a wonderful dinner. The food was great, and the service impeccable. The staff was very attentive but not intrusive, just the right balance. Perfect. We really enjoyed the evening and DEFINITELY will come back!
Good all around
We love this place, have visited frequently over many years, and have never been other than delighted with what it delivers.
We had the Boston Restaurant Week menu and the paella was cold. I go here often and felt I was second class, even though I just thought the menu sounded inviting.
We had dinner for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Service and food were great! The only down side was our table, were in a corner table which was very close to another table...Overall a great experience!
Great night out. Had three small plates an entree that we split all tasty and unique. Very nice night out will go back.
delicious dinner ! courteous staff....a tad "noisy"
We always dine at Harvest when visiting Boston. It’s one of the events we most look forward to.
We had a wonderful time. The decor was modern, but very enjoyable. The food and house drinks were amazing, the presentation as well as the quality of the ingredients. Our server was very personable and treat us like best friends. I’ll look forward to return many times.
My favorite restaurant in Cambridge! Always great service, great food.
We were there for a birthday celebration and despite not ordering desert, they brought out some tasty sea salt caramels for us.
I personally had the venison and it was scrumptious.
They were fantastic!
Pre-concert dinner was great. Very attentive and knowledgeable service. Outstanding cuisine.
Fantastic dining experience. Been coming back for years and it seems to be even better every time!
We had an amazing family memorial dinner at Harvest. The staff was incredibly kind and understanding as my family experienced a wide range of emotions as we paid tribute to a family member that was scheduled to have dinner with us.
Now onto the food, various members had the crab bisque, the beet & brie plate and the salmon crudo plate for appetizers. They were all outstanding. For meals we had the monk fish, the strip steak special, Giannone chicken, whole wheat rigatoni and a shrimp cocktail. All were well flavored with well selected sides. The presentation of all of these dishes was incredible.
For dessert we selected the chocolate decadence plate and the lemon tart. The plates were wiped clean.
As we were walking away from the restaurant, we decided that this may become an annual journey for us to honor our lost family member and enjoy the delicious dishes at this lovely restaurant.
Harvest is reliably excellent. The food is exceptional, cocktails are some of the best in town, and the wine list seemingly has hundreds of options at all price ranges. I appreciate the various settings the restaurant has to offer, the bar is great but so are the restaurant seating areas and the patio. The staff and GM are personable and welcoming and offer a high level of hospitality without being pretentious. The desserts take it over the top, both inventive and delicious. I wish I could stop by and pick up a container of sorbet, it's that good.
Always a wonderful dining experience!!
My girlfriend and I enjoy Harvest. It never fails to deliver good food. She loves it there .
Food and service was great. Only three things that I didn't like: 1) bloody mary was watered down, not that great. 2) Women's bathroom stalls are tiny, my knees almost hit the stall door when seated, 3) They played the same 3 songs on repeat for most of our brunch, which was distracting.
We went to Harvest after purchasing a Gilt City voucher. Sat at the bar. Service was good, food was great. Drinks mediocre. Definitely want to come back in the warmer weather and sit outside on the gorgeous back patio.
Phenomenal experience! From the service to the atmosphere to every bite of food I had -- hands down the best birthday dinner I've ever had. Thank you so much!!
First time @ Harvest - very nice experience! great ambience, classy without pretention. I took my elderly parents out to lunch and they were very pleased. good service, and very good food.
Business lunch was quite bad. The service was very slow as well. Because I had a high expectation, I was quite disappointed.
Harvest is our restaurant of choice when we visit Cambridge, it is , pretty, friendly, comfortable and the food is creative, unfussy and always good.
Our dinner was good but not better than that. Service was intrusive; the wait staff was young and untrained. We wanted to talk; they wanted us to order and move along.
