I had a difficult time with the question “would I recommend this resultant to a friend”. There are so many great restaurants in the area that I would say far exceed this restaurant. However it was a great spot to enjoy happy hour and then move to dinning. The food was just ok for the price. We had a few hickups with our order but all was made right by the manager. Great outdoor area and bar.
The food was excellent as was the service. We always enjoy our experience st the Harvest and Reel.

Visited twice. First time was better. Same menu items were different each time. Food was-very salty on second visit and ribeye steak was covered in garlic butter which it was not previously and was not indicated on the menu. Being garlic averse it had to be sent back which meant another 30 minutes for food prep and our party had to eat separately. Pleasant environment and decent menu choices. Satisfied once. Disappointed second time.
Restaurant is beautiful appointed in a modern seaside ambience, very pleasing. The server seemed inexperienced and did not seem to know the menu very well, although he was attentive to our table. The food lacked flavor and seasoning, and was only okay. Have had much better seafood in other less expensive places in St Augustine.
Excellent food in a lovely beach decor. Servers are well trained and attentive.
The meal was exceptional. I had pork and my wife had magi. Very good. I started with artichoke dip and she had beet and goat cheese salad. Cleaned our lates. The wine list was small but we found a nice merlot.
Well worth a stop.
The restaurant was closed due to power outage. Not their fault.
Food was good, though neither my husband or I cared for the potatoes gratin . The bone in filet was very tasty as was the porterhouse pork chop

We stayed at the hotel and decided after a long day to just eat at the resort. The food was fantastic our server was super sweet and friendly. I have no complaints.

Our meal was fine and priced as expected for a resort restaurant, which is to say a little overpriced for the quality, service, and ambiance. Our server would not let us make any changes to the dishes or special order anything, which presents a problem for those in our party with food allergies and aversions. But, it wasn't impossible to work around this. It was perfectly fine for what it was: a resort meal.
Excellent food and very nice and accommodating staff,we eat here often and since its opening,this place has improved,love their divers scallops,there is also an amazing bar,I know that most people are skeptical about hotel restaurant but this one is a winner
To start you can't self park. You must use the valet system, which is free but a wait, and a very long wait when leaving for them to retrieve your car. Place is noisy, very noisy. AC system can't handle the open area dining, so you are warm and humid "inside". Booths are very tight, even for my petite wife . Service is by untrained "nice" people, but not very good service. Food was fair. bottomline line, if you are not staying here, don't bother eating here.

Service was very slow, I’m going to call out the kitchen staff on this one. Food was delicious, dessert tasty, waitress and manager were very helpful.
Great service, not a huge menu, but everything we had was great. Divers scallops were huge and tender, coffee glazed pork chop was tender, mahi with polenta cake was flavored perfectly, and the minorcan salmon was delicious. They were also very helpful as my Mom needs to eat gluten free due to celiac, lots of options for her. Definately recommend.

It was Bourdain Day! A culinary tribute to the late Anthony Bourdain. Food was delicious. The wine pairings were excellent.

Excellent service. The restaurant has an authentic Farm-to-Table feel, and is decorated as such. The atmosphere is very calm and low key. What is really great is that you can get there before dinner, and you can grab a drink at cast away to watch the ocean and relax. Food was outstanding and wine selection great.
While the service was good, the food was just okay and was pricey. The hotel lobby is nice considering it's just an Embassy Suites, but the restaurant is simply an extension of the lobby and doesn't feel upscale at all especially considering the prices they charge. Sides are not included with the dinners and despite being listed as "table sides" (which means to me that they are shareable), the amount of food in the sides is minuscule. Salad is an extra cost as well. They even make you pay if you want bread at the table. Everyone at our table felt their food was overcooked and dry. Both my husband and I had specialty cocktails off the drink menu and at $11 each, I would have expected it to at least have tasted like something other than sweet fruit juice. They make you valet your car, but do offer to validate the ticket if you have dinner there. Being local, we were excited to try someplace new but unfortunately we won't be back.

Everything was excellent , across all boards! The food was on point and the service was great ! The restaurant was beautiful and we had a great time enjoying the perfectness of it all .
We celebrated our 45th anniversary here. My pasta dish was excellent as was the salmon that my husband had. At the end of the meal they surprised us with a dessert.

So disappointing from the waitstaff not knowing the menu and the items on it to the lackluster food. We went with 2 friends who are in the food industry as we are. The Brasstown beef NY strip while cooked properly was really tough and chewy for grass fed beef. The caesar salad had no imagination and came out with the dressing on it when it was ordered on the side. The Duroc pork chop had no flavor and the sweet potatoes served with it were sickly sweet. The scallops were lackluster at best and the corn maux choux that is served with them had a vey odd taste. The waitstaff had not been properly trained about the menu and had to keep going back to the kitchen to ask how a menu item was prepared. We will not be returning.

We heard great reviews from St Augustine Social but the food was sub-par. The salmon was amazing but we sent back the risotto and my Cesare salad tasted funky. I don’t think we will be back again.
Harvest and Reel was a disappointment to say the least Had read an article about the chef and decided to take some foodie friends. Nothing was bad but nothing was noteworthy. We have so many better options in northeast Florida. Would probably have friends and relatives stay at the hotel but the restaurant is NOT a destination.
The food was good. A little pricey on drinks but atmosphere made up for it.
We will definitely come back here to eat when we come back in September. The service was great and the food was so delicious 😋 Swordfish was awesome and the chocolate covered strawberries with the homemade whipped cream was great.
There is nothing special about this place. The dining room reminds me of an airport restaurant with the restrooms down the hall in the hotel. The valet parking was non existent on this friday night. I had to park my car in the sand adjacent to the hotel. The website indicated that the dress code was Business Casual, not even. Most people where in shorts and sandals, practically bathing atire. The food portions were small and expensive. I would never return to this place. I am a native Floridian.
Richard was excellent in assisting us with our selections! We had a positive and delicious experience from beginning to end!
The chefs special was a blackened swordfish and it was outstanding. This restaurant has an amazing wine list. I will be back. So much to try
Having an open kitchen is cute until all the cooking smells get overwhelming. For the price, the food was mediocre, but the service was very good. The bathrooms were out of order and there seemed to be a problem with the ordering system. Very pretty hotel in a great location.
