We go to Haru about once a week. It's a great place for your regular sushi fix as well as fancier choices. Great to have in the neighborhood.

Can't say enough about the good food, good service and good value. Ya gotta try the firecracker shrimp - the sauce is very pleasing if you like a bit of kick! Like all NYC outdoor on the avenue scenes, the hustle, the traffic, the plethora of electric and throttle bikes going wherever they like without regard to normal considerate behavior, the ambience is less than perfect. I can't blame Haru for that. I blame the new "order" of me first and only that seems to be overtaking the world. C'mon people - be considerate - we're all here on the planet together and want to survive and be happy. Haru's menu and people make me happy, (The Nigori Saki helps too.)
