Sushi is high quality and a good value. Service is pretty mediocre—disinterested at best.
The food was fresh; that said, my Garlic Shrimp was burnt, and the sauce was too sugary. The sushi rolls were OK, but nothing to rave about.
Not as good as it used to be.
The sushi is always excellent. We were there early on New Year's eve so it was very quiet. The service (since we were two of very few people) could have been snappier.
Took over an hour to bring us our meal. Was not crowded at all. No apology or explanation. Hasn’t been my experience in the past here so hopefully a fluke
This is still the best sushi in town. Expensive but delicious. Service a little slow - and we were the only people in the place.
High quality food, unique presentations, delicious, and great service -- and the cocktails are nice too!
Excellent food. Atmosphere could be improved.
Haru is always good, fish is fresh and they are accommodating with dietary needs.
I always find the waitstaff very attentive and the pricing is the usual for sushi.
I go to Haru quite a bit and it is always very good.
I always like Haru.
They shoukd have more locations.
I miss the East 48th Street spot.
Food is always fresh and the help is always friendly.
Keep up the good work.
Food good loudness deafening
Service was terrible. Waited 20 mins for water refill. Finally got it from hostess.
Food quality is always excellent
One thing I would note they didnt seem to know I made a reservation on opentable or special request..
Haru is consistent across the board at all of their locations. Good, solid sushi.
Very good Sushi in a friendly an bus Upper East Side location
The sushi is fresh and the menu has good options. Disappointingly shrimp shumai used minced shrimp... otherwise enjoyed dinner. good selection of rolls as well as assembled meals. though Haru is part of a chain it doesn't feel cookie cutter. Folks at reception are a bit distracted...
Great food and service! I look forward to trying more of the menu in the future.
Great sushi bar. Have been requented Haru for many many years
Reliably good for casual sushi, dining out or ordering in.
Had a spectacular meal at Haru 3rd Ave NYC last night (2/1/17). Not my first visit, will certainly not be my last visit. I had the NYC Restaurant Week dinner and it was fantastic. Lobster tacos appetizer (OMG good), a Dual Roll entree (just as good) and a dark chocolate brownie and ice cream dessert (other worldly). It was a food foodie delight. Wish I could return tonight to try the other choices!!!!!!
I am a huge fan of Haru sushi and dine at the Park Avenue South location at least once a month. I was having a birthday party on the UES and decided to dine at the Third Avenue location for Restaurant Week. My friend arrived first and they told him our table would be available shortly. WHen I arrived, they told me there was no reservation for me. When I showed them my Open Table confirmation, the manager told me that they have trouble with the OpenTable reservation system but would seat me as soon as possible. The atmosphere there is small and cramped, but the food is very good. I wanted to use a $20 coupon I had received from OpenTable and they would not let me. Apparently Haru is not part of the coupon system. All in all, it was not a great experience and definitely changed how I feel about the Haru chain as a whole. I will not be running back to the Park Avenue South location as there are so many other great sushi restaurants in the neighborhood.
Great experience as usual. Haru is always a solid experience.
Wonderful sushi roll choices- each better than next. Salad is delicious and even enough for two to share if ordering other things
We loved everything about restaurant week menu and it was enormous amount of food!
Great innovative sushi rolls and appetizers
