It's tough to make a good experience during COVID, these guys did well, all considered.
Went to Haru for their happy hour with a friend. Rare to find Saturday happy hour! Great price for the amount of food/drinks you can get. Will return!
It was outdoor dining and we got seated on far side of restaurant.
It took a while to try to get server to come back and place our order. We asked for a water refill and didn’t get it. Food was good though. But just wished server paid more attention since we aren’t in site to wave anyone down. Thanks.
I’m sorry to hear you will close in October.
Wishing you all the best of luck.
Friendly service, good food, nice ambiance (minus the construction going on outside, but that's not Haru's fault)
great sidewalk dining. Wait staff was very attentive
Food was average at best.
I was thrilled to be able to eat out considering the ongoing pandemic. Our server, Pam, was GREAT.
But, I expected more from the food. It was just so so and given the price point, not a good value.
But, still grateful that they are open.
They have done a nice job with their outdoor seating. As usual, the sushi is great!
It’s strange. Despite the server admitting she completely forgot my partner’s iced tea drink 20 minutes well into our meal, the (young Latino) manager gave my partner quite the attitude when he had to physically leave our meal to politely approach the house to order me a happy hour drink as we couldn’t find our (older Asian) server for ten minutes. The manager unhappily responded that actually he already announced the end of happy hour...but ten minutes early to the end of happy hour—but no server shared this with us. As she was MIA, she forgot our order, and the house failed to let customers properly know—we figured management can afford to speak to a customer with more professionalism. A diner shouldn’t be standing having this conversation with FOH in the first place. My partner is too nice. In fact after he sat, he still didn’t receive his drink yet. Sushi is dependable, location is convenient, but kindly lose the attitude.
I mentioned on the reservation that was a birthday celebration and they took us to a very special table. We loved the Happy Hour. We tried all different drinks and appetizers and they were all delicious. Then we ordered dinner and we weren't disappointed. The service was excellent. I will be going back definitely.
Tsering is a wonderful server. Tuna Tataki, Sumo, Shrimp Tempura Roll and Crunchy Spicy Tuna were all outstanding. A couple of Tito's and Asahi Dry Drafts made for another great night at Haru Hell's Kitchen. Thank you
Ellen is a fantastic server. Started with Tuna Tataki and the Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura. Love the Tataki, not crazy about the Shrimp Tempura. It was good, just a little too doughy for me. Perfect Fantasy Roll and Sumo were perfect. Tito's and Some Asahi Super Dry Drafts made for a nice evening. Thank you
Awesome Jerome! Your feedback is appreciated. We are pleased to hear we were able to create a great memory for you!
Great food and service. The salad dressing on the field greens salad was delicious. The lemongrass soup is phenom- you must try it.
I ordered the sea bass- it was so tasty but a very tiny portion with no veggies on the side- a poor value.
My friend had the sushi plate- it's a bit pricey too, but he said it was great.
This place is very good but a bit expensive.
Fantastic Nano! We appreciate you dining with Haru, thank you for the kind words!
The high seating was a little uncomfortable for me but everything else was spot on. Great sushi.
Thank you so much Sarah for your feedback, we hope to see you back again soon!
It was another phenomenal meal at Haru Hell’s Kitchen. The food, drinks, and ambience were all exceptional and our server Pam is literally one of the best servers we’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. She truly goes above and beyond to make the night memorable. Plus, she’s got a fabulous attitude and is so much fun!!!
We can’t wait to come back!!!

Fantastic Camelia! Your feedback is appreciated. We will be sure to share your kind words with the team.
One of my favorite local hotspots. Delicious food and drinks. Friendly staff and great service.
We are happy you enjoyed the RA experience! Come back soon!
Food has gone down hill in my opinion. Rolls are too ricey; spicy tuna crunchy roll is too much rice and hardly taste any crunch.

I was really disappointed in the service. We had to ask for our waiter after sitting for 20 minutes. We had to ask for multiple items like soy sauce, cucumber that was left out of the roll. He charged for every little thing. And I was never charged for green tea at any other haru but this one. Only reason I got it was because I was freezing! Do they not believe in heat?!

I was in the neighborhood and didn't eat lunch and came across a Haru. They had happy hour and so I decided to check it out.
Upon arrival, the place is pretty small. There were people sitting at the bar enjoying their happy hour. The happy hour had great food deals. I ordered the mule for $9 and it was flavorful and strong enough to order more food.
The food menu for happy hour had a lot to offer so I decided to order the Phoenix Roll ($5) for 4 pieces, Hell's Kitchen Roll ($5) for 4 piecese and the Salmon Poke. All three items were amazing and hit the spot.
Service was quick, efficient and professional.
Had an absolutely delicious meal tonight and excellent service. My waitress Pam was awesome. She gave some excellent suggestions and really made an effort to ensure everything was perfect with the meal. The food was equally awesome and the brownies with matcha ice cream is definitely my new favorite dessert!!! Can’t wait to go back.
Very lackluster. The quality and taste ( lack of) reminded me of supermarket sushi. They rushed us to order offered no service and basically threw the food down. Never asked how it was, no explanation or service. I wouldn't mind that had the sushi had any flavor at all. Even the steamed shrimp and scallop shumai were tasteless. I would not recommend nor ever go back here. AVOID this, stop in your neighborhood grocery for better
Must try Filet mignon best! Also califlower very good. However crispy duck is no crispy or fresh. My bad choice
We selected this restaurant for a pre-theater dinner, as we feel it would be quick. They did not disappoint us. The restaurant was very busy, which can be expected by the quality of the food. We made reservations, but they were running behind due to the holiday season, so we found two seats on their bar. Much to our surprise, they had a happy hour bar menu that included a few items we going to order off the regular menu. The service was excellent, we never felt rushed and we departed very content with our restaurant selection.
Overall, I liked this place and would return. The artisan flight of Sake is well worth the price. All dishes were very good except the most important ones. Toward the end of the meal, I ordered Oh-Toro, which is the most delectable cut of sushi you can buy. Normally it is buttery (being the fatty cut of the tuna) and melts in your mouth. At $11 per piece, it should be good. The Toro I had was somewhat dry and, while not tough, by no means reached the level of tenderness that it should have. That was a major disappointment. I also order pieces of eel (unagi) and scallop (hotate). The scallop was very good. The eel was dry and the sauce with which eel is normally basted was off.
Again, I would return but would be a little more careful in the cuts of sushi I ordered. All of the rolls I had were quite good and I would not hesitate to order them again.

It’s a good sushi spot. I wasn’t blown away by anything. It was as expected, which was, go in, have some sushi and drinks.
Henry, thank you so much for your feedback, we hope to see you back again soon!
Miso black cod was amazing. Gramercy roll was too!
Thank you so much for your feedback, we hope to see you back again soon!
We had to flag the waitress a few times to get our orders. The restaurant was not even busy but service was bad and food was so so. Thankfully they had verve champagne on the menu and it helped. Overall, was disappointing as server never was engaging. Nate

The food is quite good--not perhaps 5-star sushi, but well above the average sushi joint. The place is wheelchair-accessible, which is important to me. The wines I've tried are just fine, and the place seems geared to keeping its customers well-cared-for. I would definitely return for a meal there before a concert at Carnegie Hall or a show at City Center. The night I was there it was noisy enough to necessitate my dining companion and me to say everything twice. There was a decent-sized crowd of diners but I think the real problem is the acoustic set-up of the room. If you go a bit earlier (say, around 6) the place is easier on the ear.
Thank you so much for your feedback, we hope to see you back again soon!
We are regulars at Haru 43rd St which we love as pre theatre dinner.
Haru Hells Kitchen is NOT the same food was poor menu offers were different even Cucumber Crush was poor and tasteless

Haru is a well known Sushi chain. The one in Hell’s Kitchen is trendy but very noisy. Sushi was quite good but service was only average. Not thé greatest ambiance for talking.
Chris, We are happy you enjoyed the Haru experience! Come back soon!
Delicious sushi, right near Lincoln Center, makes this the perfect place for a pre-theater dinner.
The food was good tasting, plus well presented, but not great as in the past.
Food & service was wonderful. We will definitely be back!
Amazing food, great happy hour specials and they are accommodating.
