Everything about our experience at Harris ranch stake house was wonderful! From the friendly staff, to the amazing food and wine! They made our anniversary dinner one we’ll never forget!
Excellent food and service, I am not a meat lover but what my husband and I ate and drank was simple delicious, the only bad thing is that we live en LA area and is kind of far away.
Great food, great service, I would highly recommended.
Not to bad of a first time experience, but the worst thing was we had to fight with the flyes cause they had the door open to the patio. For the price of the food and over a 1hr 20 min drive from where we live we won't be coming back.
Good food & environment , service was excellent , good dinner choice for travelers
Went to Harris Ranch for the first time with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary. They welcomed us by name and had the table decorated beautifully. The server was extremely knowledgeable and recommended items that were perfect for us. The service was quick and food was delicious. They even gave us two deserts on the house for the celebration. I will 100% be back.
We've been going here for many years to celebrate special occasions. Sunday was our 40th wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. However all steaks in the Steakhouse are now served ala cart. Any side dishes are now expensive add-ons. I don't mind paying for quality food and service but this is not worth it. I wish they would go back to serving a full meal. Not going back until things change.
Did not like the sides as extra with the steak choices. You should offer sides with a 15 dollar and over steak! Also our sever ignored us most of the time.
Made a reservation for 7pm, arrived at 7pm and was told "we'll mark you as checked in". 15 minutes later was finally seated, and 10 minutes after that a server had still not been to the table to greet us or take drink order. Asked to speak to a manager, 5 minutes later a woman came to our table with a piece of paper in her hand telling us she was taking care of us and asking what we'd like to eat for dinner. Unacceptable. It was clear that they were trying to get our order, get us our food, and get us out of there to turn the table around. Older couple at table next to us was experiencing the same thing. Was told that appetizers would be paid for by restaurant, but when bill came out items were still there - had to get manager attention again to fix. Was in restaurant a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes and really just wanted to get out of there.
Why did I make a reservation in the first place if we had to wait as long as people without reservations were waiting for tables? It wasn't our first time to Harris Ranch; problem is that the restaurant is expensive and in this case it was clear that all they cared about was getting our money and getting us out. That's fine and great for Harris Ranch, but for individuals paying well over $100 for a meal, I certainly expect much better service and overall experience. I am part of a large military population in the area that frequents Harris Ranch and will be sharing this review with my colleagues.
Had a gift certificate. Used OpenTable to book a table. Let them know it was our anniversary through OpenTable. When we arrived, the table is decorated with rose petals and had a happy anniversary sign. The service was excellent, and dinner was wonderful. They even brought us out an anniversary dessert for free.
Our Birthday experience was awesome. Everything about Harris Ranch was great. We will definitely be going back.
Love this place, try to stop when ever we drive north.
meals expensive but wine is priced fairly
I can’t remember her name, but our server (as well as the rest of her team) was professional with a good sense of humor and anticipating our needs.
We were so impressed with Harris Ranch. The food was great. Our waiter was so efficient and on top of things. Side recommendations were made and we enjoyed all.
Waitress was not knowledge about their menu at all. Can’t even recommend a cocktail drink. My son prime rib 30 oz. way undercooked, the color of the meat is grayish just like raw meat. I almost choked on shell from crab cakes. Rocker fella oyster is the worst u ever had. Unable to find oyster under the massive of mushy of cream cheese(suppose to be cheesy). Overall, steak are plain not well seasoned. Not worth the $$$$$ and the hour drive at all
Celebrated my birthday with my family-great time. Food, service, hospitality, all first class.
excellent steak & lobster. We are senior citizens and sharing one steak was great. we will be back.
Service was amazing. Server and manager were both great.
Food was terrible. My husbands Prime rib was tough and had large tendons in the middle of it. He couldn’t cut it. They replaced it with a steak ordered medium rare. It was so rare that it looked like road kill on the plate after a few bites.
I had beef Wellington. The “flaky” pastry it was wrapped in was very soggy and the cheese they put on it was overpowering. They ended up taking my husbands prime rib/steak off the bill and giving us a free desert. Still wouldn’t eat there again.
This was our last night of vacation and we were hoping to end it with a good dining experience in an expensive restaurant. We’ve had better beef. from Von’s supermarket cooked in our own backyard.
Always an outstanding experience with a delicious meal
The food, drinks, and service was amazing. I can’t wait to be back.
Food and service excellent, impressed by attentive server, his assistant, and 2 managers came to our table to inquire about our dining experience, one even filled our water glasses, both managers pleasant! My Father's 89th BIRTHDAY dinner very enjoyable though next time I will ask for a booth, a little too noisy for Dad at table out in open area.
Will come again!!
I was very surprised with the food . I was excited to try and planned to make the out of the way specific trip to have dinner at Harris Ranch and stayed overnight at the Inn to do so. I have never cut so much fat off of a Rib Eye, and my wife's bone-in Fillet was half raw. I made the mistake of not taking pictures of the result. The loaded Baked potato was too overwhelmingly piled with Cheese and the warm Spinach Salad was not great. The Asparagus was good, the Ranch Dressing on my Garden Salad was good, and service was good. The Bakery pastries are really good. Sad to say I will not return to visit and will not make the recommendation when many people ask how my trip went. I will follow up with a Yelp review. I gave 2 stars because Service and Bakery was good. Dinner was a huge disappointment.
MarioG, As the Executive Chef of Harris Ranch, I apologize for your experience. Our locally raised, grain-fed beef is where we expect ourselves to excel and your expectations were not met. Excellent service and our course the steaks are the best.
Everything was terrific. We had the crab cakes, Harris fries, beef Wellington and the 24oz bone-in ribeye.
If I'm being nit-picky, my only "criticism" would be that the fries have too much parmesan.
Seeing good reviews, we had moderately high expectations. However, the experience was not good. The restaurant had multiple flies landing on our plates and buzzing around our heads which was exceptionally annoying and set a poor mood. The steaks were good to very good, similar to most mid-priced steak houses. However, the side dishes were not good - asparagus was drenched in oil, soggy and barely edible and the mashed potatoes tasted similar to powdered mashed potatoes with a bunch of seasoning added. The ambiance was nice enough and the servers tried hard and were pleasant.
Jimmy, Thank you for your feedback and coming in to the Prime Steakhouse to dine with us. As the Executive Chef, it is so important to me to hear of your experiences. Thank you for your very nice compliments on our Steaks and our Staff. I would like to apologize that you did not care for your Brown Butter and Pistachio Asparagus and the house-made Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes. Please contact me at HRRService@harrisranch. so we can discuss further. We appreciate you taking the time.
Great food and great service. Best place for steaks
I’ve been dining here for years. On this visit it was my wife and my anniversary. We arrived early and were seated. Service was excellent, as was the appetizers. The entrees arrived in a timely manner and were delicious. Another great experience at Harris Ranch.
great staff from beginning to end everyone was nice to talk with. the steaks were perfection
Absolutely Wonderful! Not one complaint. The drinks were perfect, steak was wonderful and the desert was superb.
A must stop on the I-5!! Best steaks and best restrooms too!!!
We went to dinner there for our 50th anniversary. We were immediately seated at a nice table for 2 and the hostess put a card on the table wishing us a happy anniversary! The waitress seconded it and we ordered our drinks and a crab cake appetizer - wow! Really good. Then I had a small filet which was awesome. Hubby had a ribeye and it was tasty but had a little more marbling than we thought it should. We ordered a side of lyonnaise potatoes which were good. They brought us a complimentary dessert which was, of course, yummy. Service was excellent and all the other guests seemed to be enjoying their meals, too.
Highly recommend this restaurant. There are also a couple of others that looked good, too - less expensive.
Absolutely wonderful dinner...food ,wine, ambiance. We had not been here for quite a few years and had always enjoyed this oasis. It has only gotten better. Dinner is not inexpensive but they encourage splitting plates which works really well. I had remembered that the caesar salad was exceptional...it remains so! Do not pass up this place when traveling I-5!
This is our favorite date night and special occasion restaurant!
Very friendly staff, Great selection of entrees for the price you pay. Bar was very nice and the gift shop has much to offer.
Our server Carla, has served us before. Everything excellent start to finish. Great wines and desserts!
Absolutely hands down THE BEST PRIME RIB we've ever had.. service was outstanding. We can't wait to go back.
I have to start out to say that I did make my reservation on OpenTable. When we arrived we arrived a little early our table wasn't ready and when it was they had to table options for us one by the noisy back in with hardly any room to sit and then one at a bigger table I chose the smaller but declined because of its location and noise level that is not what I had requested on my reservation. So by the time we got back the other table was taken. Then when a table was ready it was dressed up with rose petals in a quiet corner. I'm wondering why there were not rose petals on the first table that was presented to us I did State on reservation we are celebrating our 35th Anniversary. Anyhow it was a nice gesture. I ordered the prime rib 24 oz knows the ribeye 24 oz and ordered it medium well it arrived more on a rare side then on a medium well so I didn't say anything but I did ask before I ordered the asparagus if they were the Gourmet size and the lady the waitress took our order said yes they were when they were arrived they were more on the smaller size not worth paying $10 they're not Gourmet. So I opted for the mixed vegetables. The baked potato did not taste fresh it tasted more like it had been cooked and then rewarmed it was not fluffy and it was more on a cold side then a hot potato side. For $10 yes I believe for each one of these sites they should have been Supreme at best. My husband ordered the ribeye with shrimp scampi the ribeye was maybe a 10 oz boneless with about 5 shrimp scampi that were good size. Overall I believe the service was so so like we didn't get a plate for our bread and the mixed drink I had was rather so so so I did not want another one. At the end of our meals they brought out a nice piece of chocolate for a cake for us to share. I do believe overall the food is overpriced for the quality my steak was very tough it was not prime as they state Prime is like buttery-smooth this was not it was very chewy but rather than ruin the experience.
Everything about the steakhouse screams finesse and value. The dishes are well seasoned and every bite had me wanting another. Service was spectacular and they checked in often. Interior is like a cross between Italian and Spanish architecture and has the comfiest dining seats I've ever sat in. Really recommend dining here instead of the standard restaurant if you're making the trip out to the Harris Ranch.
Carla was our waitress she was Amazing! Dinner was Great!
Such a Wonderful evening. We will definitely be back. Must add customer service is a Huge deal for my husband & I. Well let me just say Carla made an impression on us & we will definitely be back just because of her. Made us feel like family.
Pam the manager was of great assistance in helping me decide on how to have my Filet Mignon cooked. Great service, everyone was friendly and incredibly helpful.
