Came for brunch on Valentines day and was delighted by the friendly & quick service, great food, and nice atmosphere. We sat in the outdoor greenhouse section and were socially distanced from other couples. It was unfortunate that due to the ice storm the night before, all heating and electricity to the outdoor greenhouse and igloos were not working. It was so cold we could see our breath when we were talking. Despite that, the food was amazing. We got eggs Benedict and the pork roll sandwich. The potato hash was very tasty with crispy potatoes and seasoned well with peppers and onions. The pork roll sandwich had a garlic aioli sauce that was very potent but still enjoyable. They had multiple juices for mimosas that were refreshing and the expresso martini was strong. The portions are on the smaller side and are a few bucks more than you'd expect, but everything tasted sooo fresh and is worth it for the ambiance. For us it was hard to enjoy because it was so cold. I would recommend this place for brunch with anyone!!
3rd time going and I plan on going in the future great food for a great price
Can’t wait to go back
Small brick menu but food and drinks were delicious.
Despite the cold, it was a very enjoyable afternoon! Service and food were very good and the energy was fun! The only uncomfortable moment was a party of unmasked people standing near us trying to get warm from our propane heat source. They should not be allowed to hover near other who are trying to enjoy their meal.
Date brunch w/ hubby! DCers in Philly for getaway wknd during pandemic. Socially distanced at the RITZ. AWESOME BRUNCH SPOT. Amazing cocktails!!!!
Great covid friendly experience. Food and drinks delicious.
It was my birthday and i specified that before hand through our reservation. I went with my two best friends there was complimentary champagne and a birthday card waiting at our table. The food was amazing and the indoor/outdoor patio was so well heated and lit. Recommending this place to everyone for a fancy yet casual night out.
Terrific! We loved it and the service was great!!!
Had a wonderful evening with some friends for dinner & drinks! First time here and the ambiance did not disappoint. Our server, Evie, was great, very helpful with the menu when we had questions and was super attentive! Will definitely be back
Waiter was flustered the whole time, but the food was amazing - pricey, but worth the spluge every once in a while. The outdoor dining setup didn't leave me feeling super comfortable since we were in an enclosed space (6ft apart) with many other dining parties with no open face allowing outdoor air to flow through. It was basically an indoor construction that was technically outdoors.
Overall great experience. I had a curry spiced butternut squash soup which came with dumplings and a few thinly sliced pieces of apple that complimented the soup very well, pan roasted redfish and a delightful sticky toffee pudding. Cocktails were also really good! Due to the virus this restaurant has created the cutest and coziest outdoor, well-lit, cabin-like seating areas along their sidewalk. Additionally, they have tented areas directly outside of the restaurant with socially distanced seating arrangements, heating systems to keep you warm and strings of fairy lights creating a magical and relaxing ambiance. Perfect for a date night, dinning alone or with friends!
The food, service and everything in between was perfect! Thank you!
Excellent brunch by the fire pit. Our server was wonderful; food and drinks were great. Will definitely return!
The server, Janelle, was wonderful. All 3 of us enjoyed the meals. Can't do much ambience in the age of Covid-19, but it was a good luncheon experience. Prices were higher than anticipated for lunch, but it's hard times in the food services industry; we didn't mind.
Very nice lunch.
Food was amazing! They have private tables on the sidewalk that are extremely warm and comfortable. I ordered the eggs Benedict which was amazing. I went here to celebrate my birthday and they gave me a birthday card and complimentary champagne glasses!
Had a great experience at Harper’s Garden. The food was great and the outdoor aesthetic was really nice. The main outdoor garden area was pretty loud with everyone’s voices echoing off of the glass, so next time I will request to sit in one of their private greenhouses.
Absolute MUST for brunch!!!
Food and service was amazing! Our server was great. Loved the hamburger - best I have ever had! Thank you!!
Great decor. Very good food, service and cocktails! A must try for brunch. Avocado toast was very good!
We were pleasantly surprised with the outdoor seating...kind of like camping! The food was great---the burger was AWESOME, beer selection excellent, and service was wonderful all things considered.
Fantastic New Year’s Eve. Service was fantastic. The restaurant was perfect for outdoor dining- tables spaced, not over crowded, timed seating and super clean. The pre fixed menu was perfect. Everyone working on nye was delightful- well done and I will be back.
Excellent experience from start to finish!
This was my first time at harpers garden. Super cute, loved the outside space. Great music, love the ambience, can’t say much about the food since we just got a little cheese plate.. but their sparkling rosé was delicious. Very accommodating as well, we were a little late to our reservation and they were still able to seat us. Definitely would book here again.
Harpers garden was a phenomenal experience. Our server was amazing and very knowledgeable about the food and cocktail menu, which helped to guide us on what we should or shouldn’t order. Our food was delicious. We started with the pommes frites (French fries) and grilled Spanish octopus. Both were amazing and flavorful. We then got the jerk marinated roasted chicken and Farfalle pasta dish and I would 100% order both of these again. We ended our even with both deserted offered - crème brûlée and mini apple pie. I 10/10 recommend coming here!
The food was very good but I would not recommend dining there while the dining room is closed. They sat us in an unheated area only protected by a tarp. It was a cold evening and were counting on some form of heating outdoors which would have been fine. There were 3 empty heated greenhouses the entire duration of our dinner but the server and host said they reserved and we could not move there. Very disappointing.
I like the food at Harper’s Garden. Good call to change the cheese plate to come with crackers instead of bread. The lamb was excellent and the ambiance was so nice inside the clear Green House.
We spent two days in Philly for the holidays. Stayed in the Rittenhouse area. This was our best food experience in the whole trip. Everything was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Our waiter Mathias was absolutely wonderful. The food was so delicious, the drinks were fabulous. Such a cozy and COVID-safe brunch spot!
Everything about this place was great. It was definitely a little cold but we came prepared for that. Beautiful space, impeccable service. Our food was good too but this place’s biggest asset is the outdoor space which is beautifully decorated and extremely romantic.
First time at Harper's Garden. My boyfriend lives south of the restaurant off 18th but never heard of the place. It turned out to be one of the best meals we've had in a long time. In fact, their rack of lamb is some of the best we ever had.
They have a nice set up for outside dining. We will definitely be back.
We dined in one of the little greenhouses which are super cute . It was my daughters 50 th birthday in Covid time so we wanted to do something special. Our waiter was fantastic and knowledgeable about the food as I asked about 2 of the dishes we wanted to order. Appetizer of octopus and pomme frites were great! The rack of lamb was delicious, gorgeous and huge, easily enough fir 2 portions. The jerk chicken was kind of pedestrian with a boneless breast instead of a portion that contained the bones.the meat was tasteless and all the jerk on the skin. You might want to try brining on this dish?
My “ bourbon old fashion” cocktail was unfortunately a new version with no muddled fruit nor garnish. I very rarely imbibe cocktails any more so I was bummed and ended up having wine.
We were treated to a complimentary champagne to toast my daughter for her birthday so we had a very nice time!!’ The waiter made it very special so please give him my regards! 👍👍
The ambiance and atmosphere was great. Our server was very welcoming and attentive. Our food however, took forever to come-waited about an hour- it was not flavorful and to me was way over priced. I probably won’t be back but at least I can say I gave it a try.
Wowwww! Those pancakes are to die forrrr!!! 🤤🤤
My friend and I wanted to try out and support Philly restaurants and decided to try this place! You are spending a pretty penny and the food is kinda worth it. I was happy we got seats in the garden space rather than the tarped out tables on the street. I got the eggs Benedict which was good! You never know how the potato hash (aka a version of hash browns) will be. These were a little too deep friend for my liking, I like my hash browns more baked than fried. Overall I can see myself coming back whether it be to try another food and cocktails! Thank you!
When life gives you lemons, you go out of your way to make sure your guest are comfortable and happy. Outdoor dining was warm and cheery. Service was excelent and food was great.
