Loved this place! It will now be one of my go-tos when people visit from out of town. The food was amazing. I ordered the squash toast and was not disappointed, and we had the lamb meatballs, cheese plate, and borani to share. All great!
I was very pleasantly surprised by this intimate venue. The food and service were both excellent and the ambiance and decor were very inviting. This is an excellent place for meeting with friends and sharing plates of tasty treats.
Great atmosphere and food!
We were visiting from out of town. We had a good number of the small plates, and all were excellent! We accidentally knocked over a glass of wine, and our server immediately brought another one at no charge. The ambience outside was fun and reminiscient of a garden. We had a lovely evening!
Great spot for the gram and outdoor dining. Also $20 add on for bottomless mimosas during brunch!
The most charming outdoor seating area. Amazing small plates! Great place for cocktails and sharing some tapas!
Food here is fantastic and wine selection is very nice. Love the ambiance of this place.
I'm told to come back and go to Brunch! Can't Wait!
Monkfish was inedibly salty. Appetizers were weird and underseasoned. Server managed to ignore our table while repeatedly checking on every other table in his section.
It's always a highly enjoyable and pleasant experience at Harper's garden! The food is always so tasty and the service is always excellent!
I had the most amazing experience. Food was perfect. I’m a Chef so this was a big deal. The burger was cooked perfectly. It’s definitely a must try.
We loved our meal. I didn't think the oysters warranted a 5 star rating but everything else was excellent.
Food was not great - got the watermelon / tomato salad and it wasn't fresh at all and the taste was horrible. really small portions - cheese plate was just ok. waited about a half hour to get the attention of our server and to get the bill. the only thing i would go again for was the burgundy wines that they had available.
So sad we picked this restaurant. We tried to find a good spot to go to for restaurant week. Apps were good, main entrees were disappointing. The shrimp in the main course were frozen not fresh and the key lime and peach cobbler were terrible. Service was mediocre. Truly disappointed and wished we picked another restaurant. Not going back, we work too hard for our money to waste it on lack luster food.
The atmosphere is the most intriguing part of dining at Harper's. How could you not be pulled in by those twinkling lights and lush plants? The food was lovely, though I think for the price, the portions are a bit small. Would recommend for cocktails and small bites.
This is now my go-to lunch spot when I am in Center City. Had lunch with a friend so the leisurely pace was not a problem because we wanted to catch up. Highly recommend the curried mussels. Be sure to ask for a spoon for the broth.
Amazing and delicious food!
I recommend Harper's Garden for an outdoor dining experience, perfect for a burger and a drink, the atmosphere is really nice with the greenery and lighting. I went to Harper's Garden for restaurant week. From the small plates we got the 'Spinach Borani and Grilled Pita' and the 'Moroccan Lamb Meatballs' both were good but I wouldn't get them again. For mains we got 'The 'Merica Burger' was really good, and the 'Scallop Bucatini', which wasn't that great. For dessert we had the 'Key Lime Pie' and the 'Peach Cobbler Ice Cream' both were okay.
Good food, meh price point, kitchen/service have been slow every time. DO NOT come here for lunch during the work week unless you know EXACTLY what you are going to order before, and you order the second you sit down. Had the saffron shrimp, the saffron was a great touch, the shrimp were respectable. Lamb meatballs are a must have here, and the fried chicken sandwich is probably the best thing on the menu. Wine list is also respectable
Unfortunately I found my first dining at this restaurant would be my last. The experience overall was poor. The meal selection for restaurant week for this particular evening was really poor in quality and quantity.
Our server... I wanna day Alejandro c.... but I know that’s waaaay off. Was a doll!!
Salad and dessert were very good. I was disappointed with the fried chicken sandwich and would not get that entree again or recommend it.
Great for Lunch, was a lil slow so we received an appropriate amount of attention. Good food, nice place. Dining neighbors were a bit annoying but thats not Harper’s fault. Give it a try.
Good food and very good service.
Wonderful restaurant! Lovely service and great food
Always a great experience!
Great place. Awesome drinks, fun food , outstanding service. The atmosphere is fun and trendy.
Food was horrible, I got shrimp pasta which came with 3 pieces of shrimps. My friends got the same pasta and received 8-9 pieces and mushrooms. . Service was horrible. server spilled water on my friend while filling her water glass. Never apologized.
My coworkers and I, make reservations for lunch every year for restaurant week. After resourcing the participating restaurants we chose here. When we arrived the bartender was short and uninviting. After being seated we told waitress we needed the menu for restaurant week and she rudely told us it didn’t start until dinner. I told her I read online under restaurant week and open table that there was no exclusions for Sunday. After I told her that , she didn’t seem to care and not accommodating. We ordered off the menu the food was good and atmosphere was charming. After a phone call to the manager the next day he never followed through with making good with a mistake on their part. Disappointed at their poor customer service and probably will not return or recommend.
I have been here twice for lunch . Dinner service was very slow.It was lovely to sit outside. Ribs weren't great- salads were good
Not for brunch. Menu too limited and the salad was very small but high priced. I wouldn't mind spending 85.00 for 2 people but i left hungry
Water glasses neglected but other than that, great experience
The place is pretty and the server was a doll, but the food was pricey and not good. I would never go there again.
Food was great and our server was on point. His timing on everything was perfect.
Harper’s Garden is beyond beautiful! We came for drinks and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our waitress was great too!
Great food, service was excellent, great outdoor seating ambiance
Went for brunch and it was overall lovely but service was very slow, particularly, AFTER the Sunday rush died down. Would def go again but the service needs to pick up a bit.
The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor space which is perfect for a nice Sunday brunch. The portion sizes are just right, and the food was tasty although nothing news worthy. They do have a nice bottomless mimosa option or if you choose to not go that route the other drinks are reasonably priced and very tasty.
Very nice experience over all. Our server was attentive, and knowledgeable - even if the answer was, “I don’t actually know but that’s a great question. Let me ask.” He was actually the only one that made positive eye contact and a purposeful smile as we entered a full restaurant, before we or he knew he was our server. Flavors were top notch. One fried app was still cool in the center but was taken care of. We would definitely return.
Made a reservation and arrived early and was sat early as well! Everyone who works here is super professional and they all know what they’re doing! Food was insanely good, definitely suggest eggs benny with smoked salmon, literally still dreaming about it. Drinks are all delicious, got the liquid persuasion a little sweet but still delish !
