In the completely renovated space located on Sansom Street between 15th and 16th streets, Harp & Crown will bring together old-world touches of charm and luxury with modern sensibility and functionality. Its glass-façade, 24-foot ceilings, and four chandeliers on the ground floor are glamorous pieces that will be balanced with funky vintage wallpaper and leather club chairs, millwork and natural tones throughout the ground floor. The result is a comfortably refined space to match Chef Justin Petruces' approach to cooking, which highlights seasonal ingredients and global cuisines. Guests may enjoy the delicate yet complex flavors of his new- American dishes amongst the space including a 32-seat bar. Delving further into the unused space within the building itself, guests will find a cocktail bar and two-lane, reservations-only bowling alley beneath the main room where cocktails, pizza and charcuterie will be served.

I took some clients here for dinner- They really enjoyed the creative menu, fresh ingredients. The waiter and staff made everyone feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. the portions were good- and everyone felt satiated- the cost was around 60.00 pp including 1 drink each & 20% tip.

My family enjoyed our meal at Harp & Crown. One of my sons is a chef in the city, and he especially liked the mushroom faro salad. I had the cod and it was very light and tasty. Three of us had the 2SP beer, and it was really good. All in all, it was a very good dining experience!

I wish I could give half stars! This place is beautiful, the drinks are well crafted, and the food is delicious. It did take a while for our water glasses to be filled in the beginning of our meal, but the service was great otherwise. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I had dinner here recently with my husband. I, like many other reviewers, were not as impressed as I thought I would be. The ambiance is cool looking but the tables are strange. Tables for 2 are tiny and oddly face the center of the restaurant. You next option is a communal table...no thanks...what couple wants to eat with a loud group of random people? So if you can get a highly coveted “regular” table, then you will start your meal on the right foot. However, then you meet your server. Ours was a bored, burned out guy who seemed high or just dumb. But either way, it didn’t add to our experience at all. He seemed genuinely disinterested in being our server. We did meet another server and she was very sweet, engaged and just plain helpful. So good luck there.
Then there was the food. It’s was ok. Nothing to write home about except the yellowfin tuna (cold appetizer) which was outstanding!! It was the only thing I ate that would be worth going back for. The margarita pizza was very boring. It also arrived with our cold appetizer which was annoying. Then we had the rigatoni and the scallops. The rigatoni was good and tasty but again, not exceptional. The scallops were of excellent quality and cooked well, they just were very plain. The garlic shrimp I would not recommend at all.
I can’t say enough about how tired I am of the “free flowing kitchens”. I am tired of ordering cold dishes and hot dishes that are served together and then not even at the proper temperature. Our pizza was cool, the shrimp were cold (instead of “hot”) and the rigatoni was warm at best. If they timed things properly for a table perhaps they could get it right? And whatever happened to dining?? Why do I have to eat 4 courses of food in a matter of 20 minutes ?

Overall the dinner was fine. I don’t see myself running back anytime soon or telling friends to. The owner may be the same as Double Knot (which is exceptional) but Harp & Crown has a long way to go.

Overall brunch was fun. The buffet had lots of options and the food and drink deal was a great price. Our group really like the atmosphere and decor of the establishment. I would definitely recommend to try out for brunch. I will say that we had a reservation at 1:30 and still had to wait more than a half hour to be seated which was a bit of an inconvenience as we didn't have the option to wait at the bar.

Awesome food, awesome service, beautiful rustic atmosphere.
The seating for two in the bar area was a little awkward, not exactly what i expected when i requested a quiet table for two. Also the table was a bit small for the Chefs tasting when multiple plates are on the table at the same time. Overall we had a great experience and would go back, i would just request one of the more traditional tables in the front section.

Hands down the best brunch in Philadelphia. For just $28, you have access to a beautiful buffet including, but not limited to, prime rib, shrimp cocktail, salmon, a build your own doughnut station, and a plethora of other breakfast, lunch, and dessert goodies. On the plus, an added $15 gets you four lovely brunch cocktails (choice of Mimosa, Bellini, Bloody Mary). Will definitely be back!

Fantastic food & cocktails! We tried the crown salad, the rigatoni, and the roasted chicken - all was incredible! Service was quick, and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I had date night at Harp & Crown on a getaway weekend to Philadelphia. The decor was super trendy and it definitely felt like we were in the place-to-be. Our waitress was very attentive and made great suggestions, and the food was absolutely delicious!!! The broccoli with hazelnuts was out of this world. My only complaint about the entire experience was the seating. We were seated at a table for two right near the door and felt like we were a bit in the way of everything. I was disappointed at first that we weren't seated in the main dining area, but then I saw the two-top tables in that area and they were very tiny and you sat on the same side of the table on a bench...I don't think we're young and hip enough for that anymore :-). I do think it would be a great place to go with a large group of friends. The vibe is really energetic and I really can't say enough about the food! We would definitely go back!

Nice eclectic dining area, our table was very small and we had to get creative on the placement of our dishes.
But food and service were excellent!

I went to harp and crown this weekend for an anniversary dinner. The space is gorgeous and the drinks are delicious. We decided to splurge for our anniversary and get the tasting menu (7 courses +dessert) . Within 30 minutes of being seated (like 10 minutes after ordering) all 7 courses had arrived. This was stressful and disappointing! There was no way to eat the food as fast as it came out and our food got very cold. It was stressful to see all our food arriving while we were only working on the salad course...We felt rushed and confused... definitely not the vibe we wanted especially for an anniversary. The wait staff was very kind and realized the food had come out too fast. The manager was called and apologized and told us she would "take care of the food for us" which I took to mean at least some of the food would be compensated. She also had our steak and pizza taken away and remade when we were ready for it but said she would "take care of the food regardless"

The pace was improved with this change and they brought us champagne and sparklers in our dessert (dessert is included in the tasting menu) for our anniversary.

I believe they did not charge us for the champagne, but there was no discount or credit for the food.

All in all, regardless of the attempts to remedy the situation, it was not the luxurious anniversary dinner we were hoping for.

The food was delicious! We ordered a bunch of small plates to share between 4 girls. The gnocchi and pizza were outstanding! The espresso martini was also made to perfection.

There was a little bumpy start with seating. We have an early reservation and after the third attempt at acceptable seating we were finally able to sit back and relax and enjoy an incredible meal. To the credit of the hostess, she saw that we were uncomfortable when we were seated next to the bar and she offered us a booth... many thanks for that. Overall.. a great meal. Go for the $45 per person option.. lots of delicious food to share.

Have been here twice, and it's a great place for simple yet upscale food. The lamb meatballs are to die for, and we had a bone-in ribeye for two this time that was scrumptious if a little pricey. I'm old so I didn't appreciate the dim lighting, but otherwise great ambiance!

Very see and be seen. Shrimp dish was undercooked and soft. Rigatoni was good though. Very loud, service slow, and constant circling by managers to assess table flow was distracting, since they don’t fit in with the customer vibe. Worst dinner we had in Philly

Food was very good but the restaurant was very loud, crowded and hot. Very difficult to hear the waitress or your friends around the table. The place is all tapas so everything had to be shared and brought out at random times.

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I really didn’t love Harp & Crown. The atmosphere was beautiful, but the food was mediocre and I’d actually rather eat at Urban Village if were talking taste. We ordered the truffle pizza, roasted chicken and broccoli, and all of the dishes were pretty bland. Confused why it’s such a hot spot...
