Harp & Crown
Need to book at 2:15 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Great service and excellent food. Pleased and would definitely return.
The lady manager was amazing. The boys in the speakeasy bar sucked. They made terrible custom drinks and never checked in how they were. Don’t ever leave the lady manager !!!!!
Staff was wonderful. Was running late for our reservation and they were very accommodating.
I’m a vegetarian and my boyfriend is not. We went for restaurant week and were told we had to split each dish, meaning we would each only be able to eat half the foods since this is a “communal” dining experience. Really disappointed as this was our one free night to enjoy restaurant week, and instead we were told there was no way for us to separately order for restaurant week but enjoy eating together.
Absolutely terrible experience. We were sat by the door on a 20 degree January night in a freezing metal chair. The hostess was unable to move us but offered to turn up the heat (why the heat was not cranked to begin with is beyond me). The hostess said she would check on the table and try to accommodate if the heat did not warm the room enough. She never checked on us. We asked the manager to take the remainder of our meal to go considering we eating in our coats and our toes were numb. He offered to turn up the heat and we replied that the hostess allegedly already did so. After paying for our meal we waited for our take out and the hostess offered us a new table. After asking to see the new table the hostess informed me that there are really no good tables for two in the restaurant. In which case, why offer reservations for two? Not coming back.
Food was good, great service staff. So noisy , could not hear wait staff nor our dinner companions
Delicious and amazing chef tasting menu.
Very good experience, dark lighting making for a sexy suave feel, hipster sleek vibes. Comfortable seating maximizing spacious dining. Perfect for a date. Elegant yet very casual
Really enjoyed the ambiance, and was glad to sample a variety of menu items as part of the CC Restaurant Week.
The food was not good. It felt like it was all prepped and then just reheated. Wasn’t a fan at all!!!!
Isabella was our server is she was great! She was well informed about the food as well as the alcohol. My friend and I will definitely be returning.
Ambiance and service were great. Food left something to be desired...not bad but definitely nothing special
The tasting menu was great! The cocktails were also very good! The only negative I would say is that we were not given new plates and silverware with every course. Overall, it was delicious and the atmosphere is definitely unique!
They didn’t honor the menu and we had to share plates. For the first course the website says pick 2 but the girl said that was incorrect and they make them say that so they can participate. Kind of expensive just to share. Given 1 serving and 2 plates the website should have been more forthcoming
It was Restaurant Week. Unfortunately all 3 of us had to agree on the tasting menu rather than allow individual portions and choices. We were served one chicken leg and breast for 3 people. Will not go back. Service was sub par.
We asked for bread. The bread brought to us was stale.
Rip off for $35.00 per person. $105.00 for those chicken portions plus 3 small spare ribs. Potatoes and Mac and cheese.
Service was lacking but food was amazing!
I really enjoyed the menu options. I got beef tartare toast, brussel sprouts and the Mac and cheese which were all delicious. My husband got the potato and egg pizza which he did not like because it was very dry and had basically no sauce. The potato was actually potato chips. It is a little dark in there as well. But overall, we had a good time.
We went for brunch and the food was good. I am on low-calorie diet right now, so eating buffet wasn't my first choice (I understand allowing customers to order a la carte would eat into their revenue, but it would have suited me fine:)), but was thinking of others in the party. Our server was pleasant and upbeat. I feel like the organization of the buffet could be improved (plate placement, bumping into people walking back and forth and better identifying foods on the buffet -- ex. topping for donuts). Hope I'm not just old and cranky. The donut WAS delicious and I have to say I quite enjoyed the fried chicken bites (so clearly, I didn't stay on track with the diet). I loved the decor and think it has a fun vibe.
One of the best brunch buffets I've ever been to. The food was absolutely delicious, with an amazing assortment of options. I could not get over the melted cheese wheel which I would put on everything! From the chicken & waffles and hand-carved brisket to the make-your-own donut station and chocolate fondue with fruit, everything was fantastic. The breakfast drinks were only $6 which can't be beaten and the service was phenomenal - our waitress would even swing by our table to fold our napkins when we got up for another round of food. Overall 10/10 would absolutely go again.
Wall side tables suck !
All was amazing
This is an excellent place to enjoy an elegant dinner. My date had a great time which was the most important part of the night. We opted for the chef’s tasting menu. For the most part everything was excellent; I wasn’t a huge fan of the crab avocado toast, but everything else was 5/5. I could also use a tad more light in the dining room. Other than that, this place provides a great dining experience and I’m looking forward to going back.
We had a good experience. We went early because very noisy restaurants are not the way to enjoy the best food. So the noise level was acceptable and our wait person was very good. The lighting is quite dim, necessitating cell phone flashlights to read the menus. I had 6 tiny little Kusshi oysters from Prince Edward Island which were briny and tasty. We ordered small plates and shared. We shared the chaucuterie which had a lot of meat on it. However we also ordered the cheese plate which was very disappointing. There were 3 quite small nondescript pieces of cheese which tasted like they were all the same. The bread served with both was unremarkable and a few pieces were burned.
It was our first time to Harp & Crown and we walked right past because there is no sign for the restaurant. This could be due to the temporary door due to the winter, however it was confusing and did not impress at first. However once we found our way in, everything was amazing! Drinks were great, decor was impressive, food was amazing. I have Celiac Disease and i'd say 75% of the menu could be made gluten free (everything except pasta & pizza) which was amazing! We will definitely dine here again.
the brunch is amazing, second time in three weeks we have been there!
I maintain that I think their price for the brunch buffet is a little bit too pricey. However, the service I received was by far the best I have ever had while dining somewhere. Definitely would recommend!
Sunday brunch was an offering of high quality, although not innovative, fare. Good variety, especially for omnivores. Smoked salmon and shrimp were excellent, as were the Belgian waffles and scones. Coffee and juice were included with the brunch; I had an excellent Dying Declaration cocktail - their version of an old fashioned.
Service was friendly and reasonably attentive. Interesting, high ceilinged space. The biggest concern is actually the seating. We had a comfortable, spacious booth. However, seating along the long wall was tight and with people walking just beyond diner's feet. Possibly trendy for some, uncomfortable for others. Same with the unisex bathroom.
Overall, a fun place to go; we were happy diners and will return.
We’ve been here a bunch of times before, usually with bigger parties. This time we both noticed that the restaurant wasn’t as crowded as we’ve seen it. However the actual service was MIA. We ended up paying at the hostess stand. The hostess and supporting service were nice and attentive, just not the one getting the tip.
The service, staff and food were all very good. We sat in a large booth by the bar. Unfortunately it was too noisy to really enjoy our meal or the people we were with.
Great food and great service! Awkward table for 2 person seating that was cramped though.
New Years eve
Had a group of friends in from New York for NYE and wanted to bring them to a reputable restaurant and immediately thought about the ambience at Harp and Crown. Was disappointed with my last meal there but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food this time around. Food was much better this time around and drinks on par per usual. However, our server was extremely rude and unpleasant. Snapped at us when I asked if we could keep a menu to look at drinks. Was very delayed delivering drinks that were sitting at the bar waiting to be served. Continued with his poor attitude when I had questions and had inquired where the drinks were that we waited twenty minutes for.
Went with my boyfriend while visiting Philly. Really unique stop. The decor was very eclectic and cool. Staff was amazing and had great recommendations. Perfect if you’re with a group that likes to share and try a little of everything! Everything was great but the beet salad and spicy crab pasta were my favorites. I would definitely go back!
I arrived early and Hostess was absolutely so accommodating and pleasant. Knowing it was my first there she patiently and professionally explained the brunch atmosphere. Unfortunately , after being seated no waitress appeared at our table until I got up and tracked a waitress. When we got up to get seconds from the brunch table, our unfinished drinks were taken away. Waitress apologized and got us 2 fresh drinks without charge. It's an impressive unique one of a kind atmosphere and fortunately for me my lovely date Janey was not negatively impacted by the service blunders and our romantic meal flowed.
The demographics were very disappointing... Seemed as though there were only tables available for white people in the Main dining area and everyone else had to sit in the secondary area by the entrance where it was cold and tight. When I asked to be seated inside I was offered an hour wait in return which I denied. I’ve dined here before and noticed the more of the same. I will not visit again.
Great service and ambiance.
Great food. Not the best wine list. Pretty good craft cocktails. Perfect ambiance. Main entrees as big as tapas. Kind of surprised. Still a great time. Bar could be singles spot.
Harp & Crown is beautifully decorated and has such comfortable seating. We went for the buffet style brunch and there was a great selection of food. Our waiter Jake was super friendly, attentive, and overall amazing!
Absolutely perfect. Best meal I have had in a very long time!!
