Harp & Crown
Took my mother there on a Wednesday to celebrate Mother's Day because I work in the restaurant Industry. While the service slowed up at one point, Over all it was a good experience.
Food is average, our server was kind of lost, the place is really pretty tho
Good atmosphere , very cordial and attentive staff. Made an evening special
Thank you so much for a beautiful restaurant and amazing food :-), see you soon!!!!
We went for Mother's Day - it's a great brunch to cater to a large group with many different preferences for food. What a selection! In addition, the quality of the food was top notch. Wishing I could go back again soon.
Everything was good, but the seating arrangement was unexpected. Overall a great experience, would dine there again, but with a proper table preferably
Great Mother’s Day brunch!
The service was beyond awful. They were not accommodating for our party and we were rushed out of the place. The staff was not friendly and made it known that we were not welcome there. The food was great but we were not even able to enjoy it due to how uncomfortable we were made to feel. Our server did not want to get us drinks simply because he wanted us out. After the second round that we ordered he placed the check on the table and walked away.
If you have not made this a Philly stop you should. This restaurant has an amazing brunch that should not be missed.
The customer service was atrocious. I felt like the staff was extremely unfriendly and it was very disappointing.
This is my favorite restaurant for every meal! Whether it’s brunch or dinner this place is amazing. The staff is attentive and the food is to die for.
I asked for a table so we could sit next to each other and we were seated in a walkway across from each other. If we wanted what I had originally reserved we would have to wait for 20 minutes. It was too loud to wait. The ordering system is bizarre. They put your order in all at the same time but things are supposed to come out at different times. Our order came out all at the same time so it was cold within the amount of time it took to get to it. It appeared to be a millennial hang out. Food was not worth giving a second try.
I brought clients from out of town in for dinner. I was a little worried about coordinating ordering since it’s mostly shareable plates, but we went with the blind chef’s tasting which was great!! Everyone was impressed with the food, and very stuffed by the end! Bottle selection was also great!
Food was very tasty. Good ambiance, however our server appeared pre-occupied, hurried and disinterested making this experience just ok. Tables and chairs can also be more suitable, as they were low/small.
Disappointing to say the least. We made a reservation and got there a bit early. We were seated at a place which was more awkward than a coach seat on Southwest. We were reseated when it became obvious we were going to leave. You would think that they would do a better job but no. I would also point out seeing a bouncer's butt 3 inches from my table is unlikely to whet my appetite. By this point we were hungry so we decided to proceed. The host had offered us drinks( so we thought). We were wrong. The drinks came as did the bill. We then had a lecture on the style of the restaurant followed by a dissertation on the quality of the food. All would have been forgiven if the food was good, it was not. The Palm salad was so sour as to be inedible. The cheese board was at best fair and the lamb steak was mediocre. I won't even talk about the pineapple upside down cake which was none of the above.
Drinks were poorly crafted and wine selection was fair.
Our waitress Jackie needs socialization remedial training. Pushy, condescending and unaware is no way to through life.
Overall too much hype and not enough substance.
We sat at a massive table although we were 4 people (by the back) and could not hear a word from the opposite side of the table.
This place is really cool, very modern, and in my opinion, well worth the price. The staff was on point. Would def recommend. We had dinner but the bar looked like a cool place to hang as well.
We went for brunch the place was amazing but our waiter was awful and everyone in our section agreed. That’s how rude he was that we all looked at each other and spoke about it. It’s like we were bothering him which is crazy because all he had to do was take our order he didn’t have to bring us food other ppl brought out our drinks and took our dirty plates so what he was so upset about I have no clue luckily he barely came around so we didn’t have to deal with him too much however the down side was you had to wait 30 minutes for a new drink beside the awful service from what I believe was just bad luck the food and place are amazing
We went to Harp and Crown for brunch and had an absolutely wonderful time. The decor is very instagram-worthy, and the food was delicious. Even better, the donut bar did not disappoint!
Fantastic dinner! I'm anxious to come back, and highly recommend this restaurant - even if just for drinks, everything is amazing here. Definitely try the chef's tasting menu.
Service, decor, and food were amazing. Can’t wait to go back
The food although very good is not a great value and pretty expensive for what you get. The scallop entree came with 3 scallops and a few potatoes, cocktails were served in juice glasses, and the cheese board had 3 slices of cheese. The tasting menu is the way to go here if you are looking to get the most bang for your buck.
We were originally seated on this bench which was the equivalent of your high school desk to eat dinner. We requested at table instead but we’re informed that there weren’t any more tables, although there were plenty open. We got sent downstairs because there were tables open in the back. We finally sat down only to be told that table was for a private party. We decided to leave. On the way out we noticed 2 spots at the bar and decided to take them. Matt the bartender was awesome and truly made up for the lousy start. Super attentive, knew the menu well, and got us our drinks quick. If not for Matt this review would have been a whole lot worse. The place is cool and the food was excellent. What you get for the money is amazing. We ordered the tasting menu and couldn’t finish everything. We would go back again... but not for a special occasion
Our server was great and very and Personable. Delicious food. Second special occasion there.
I attended Harp & Crown for Brunch with my boyfriend. We ended up waiting 30 minutes past when our reservation was scheduled for. Once seated, the service was better. The all you can eat buffet was very good and we definitely got our money’s worth. Drinks were overpriced and small.
The brunch was absolutely amazing!
Harp and Crown is an excellent place to begin your night out in Philadelphia. It boasts an excellent menu for craft cocktails and unique American dishes. The atmosphere is intimately sophisticated while lively and filled with laughter and energy from every other restaurant goer.
Service was stellar! Made our experience very special, and she recommended delicious pairings. Wonderful experience and will go again!
Really great meal with some friends on a Friday night. Service was wonderful, food was amazing, everything was great. Also we had some happy hour drinks at the bar beforehand- great deal! Would highly recommend
Amazing! Highly recommended
Wonderful!!!!!! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The halibut was fresh and delicious. Outrageously good scallops. Loved it all! :)
The table set up is a little strange, and the table was very small for the amount of small plates they suggest, but the food was delicious
Had a wonderful Easter Sunday brunch!
Easter brunch with the family.
It was great!!
Service was outstanding and food delicious. Only down side was our table located near entrance to downstairs bar. We will be back with friends!
We enjoyed our food and thought the service was attentive, warm and competent. However, the ill-conceived seating for two-tops along the wall is incredibly uncomfortable and the table is too small to fully enjoy our meal. We would have been more comfortable sitting at the bar, which we noticed many other couples opting to do. Don’t know who thought this type of seating was a good idea?
Great service. Great brunch atmosphere.
