Harp & Crown
The brunch was incredible. Amazing selection of all you can eat food and for a great price! Definitely going back soon
We had a great meal here. Showed up for reservation and were seated in 2 empty chairs at an 8 seater, joining a party of 6. We were unaware that there was communal tables and a bit surprised. We were 10 minutes late to the reservation due to traffic so not sure if that was why, but waiter recognized how load the group we were seated next to was and found the manager to get us a more private and comfortable table. An odd process but they looked after us without issue. Food was fantastic, spicy soppressata pizza was a favorite. Would go back.
Great food. Portions were huge, even the small plates. Great cocktails, too.
Food as usual was very good but came out before we even got our wine. Our table was next to the bar, which was not ideal. Lot’s of people standing around the bar were crowding our space, which made it hard for us to talk to each other.
I've been to Harp & Crown several times both with friends/family and coworkers. We always get the Chef's Tasting menu. I think it's a great way to connect with each other while sharing great food. I hadn't put much thought into it before, but it really makes a difference in the conversation and overall experience when you are sharing plates among others at your table vs eating only your own individual meal selection. Will continue to visit and recommend to friend! Brunch is next!
The food was expensive, but they gave you so little. Not worth it.
The brunch was a great value and allowed a large group to all be happy with the selection without any worry about splitting things up when the check came. The atmosphere in Harp & Crown is great and the decor is amazing.
So fun! Great atmosphere! did the tasting menu and everything was amazing.
Food was good! We chose to order
Ridiculously loud couldn’t talk to each other. Menu was not impressive.
Everything was great except for the heavy-base music during dinner hours. Better with chill music early, higher energy music later
Awesome! Here for a birthday breakfast! Brunch is amazing!
Soooo good! Best buffet I’ve ever been to hands down! A little pricey but you get your money’s worth
For a birthday, it looked cute from pictures. Food was ok, but service was lacking severely. Waiter did not ask for drinks and had to ask twice about soft drinks until after 2 rounds of food served tapas style. A fight broke out and constant bombardment of bussers only taking half the dirty dishes from tapas. Spent a big chunk of change here and can’t justify it.
Wonderful food and service, but PRICEY!
We had a very good dinner. The food was awesome !
Noise through the roof on a midweek evening about 7:00 pm. Total young professionals place, avoid if your their grandparents' age, it's not possible to read the menu at their banquettes and impossible to carry on any kind of conversation. Loud, loud, louder than loud. The food was good but not possible to enjoy it. And the waiter serving our table wasn't even slightly sympathetic. Attitude galore.
This was our first visit and we can’t wait to go back. Our waiter Rory was awesome and the food was delicious!
We were lucky to sit in the front area while there was still light outside streaming in the windows. The receptionist was not terribly welcoming, not allowing our party of three to sit at their reserved table until the third person arrived. The restaurant was empty, by the way.
We opted to do the tasting menu, (your party must agree to share an item from each area of the menu). Beet salad, smoked mozzarella pizza, hangar steak, crab meat pasta, tuna tartare, Spanish octopus, roasted cauliflower. Thanks to the many reviews on Yelp and that one of our party had been to H&P just the week before, we ordered things we were fairly sure would be successful. The pizza could have been a smaller version as it really filled one up before the hangar steak. The roasted eggplant pizza was preferred over the smoked mozzarella and fennel salami. Cauliflower was cooked through and delicious. Most tasty award would probably go to the tuna tartare and the hangar steak. Don’t think I would order the crabmeat spaghetti again. Would definitely go back. Service was good, but at the end of our meal, a different server came toward us with large platters expecting to serve them to us. He was still looking for their owners as we left the restaurant, looking very confused....
I was sadly disappointed with the food and cost. This was my 3rd visit and I find the price is ever increasing but the food, although good, was not great as I remembered it. The service was excellent but there seemed to be just too many people, serving, everywhere. I’d prefer that effort be in the food.
The brunch is beyond amazing. You have to go. Every time my husband and I are in Philly, we find a way to squeeze in a breakfast here.
Awesome and delightful
My only complaint is that our table was next to the door.
Waitress was rude. We were waiting at the bar until our table was ready. I got a text letting us know the table was ready right after we ordered a drink. I went to the hostess stand and got sat while my date waited for the drinks and settled the bar tab. When I brought the drink to the table the waitress told me twice that I was not allowed to order from the bar once we got sat. We ordered before we got sat...
Delicious food. A bit noisy but all was good
Service was not great, and I felt rushed—food came out very quickly. But ambiance was great and food good as well!
Service was slow. Took a long time before our server came over after we were seated.
Went this past
Very loud however the food was very good
Great menu and nice service. Hard to hear anyone beyond the table and hard to even hear the server.
We ordered the tasting menu and it did not disappoint. Would hands down say the tuna tartar was the best dish we had. The octopus was prepared in a way that was not to our taste, but that is just a personal preference. The Mexican Street corn on the cob was also excellent. We will definitely be back. And also I could have had 5 ruby slippers but tried to maintain some self control.
Absolutely amazing. It was the perfect restaurant for my birthday dinner. Table of seven enjoyed everything from the food, drink and service. The look of Harp & Crown is one of a kind. I would recommend the jersey corn, Brussel spouts, any of the pizza and steak. We will definitely return for dinner!
My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary and Harp & Crown went above and beyond to make it a great experience. The food, drinks, ambiance, and service were all fantastic and have made Harp & Crown my favorite spot in Philadelphia!
Enjoyed the steak for two and it was delicious. Service was fantastic the entire time.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Beautifully prepared and presented. A wonderful experience!
Good food. Great service. Our server, Summer, was excellent. Patient and charming with a complicated, large table.
A really nice place for brunch time, the buffet is great
The space was beautiful and although noisy, intimate enough to be able to talk to the rest of your party. While I found the bench seating SO CUTE, my boyfriend thought it was "slightly awkward" to eat at the smaller round tables. We experienced the chef's tasting menu which stuffed us both. We chose all seven of our dishes, starting with the heirloom tomato salad (to die for), and followed that with ribs and a cheeseboard. Next was the pizza-- sopressata, honey and shishito peppers... AMAZING. We finished our dinner off with a large bowl of macaroni and cheese, 1/2 chicken, potatoes and chocolate cake. The only disappointments in our meal came with the chicken and the chocolate cake. We felt the chicken was on the dry side, and the cake was forgettable. That being said, our service was amazing for being what it was on such a busy night.
Overall the dining experience was fine, I have been there a few times but this time I was not happy. My friend and I were seated at the end of a larger table and then were asked to move elsewhere but they did cover our dinner. Then 30 min later, we were asked to get up AGAIN and move completely elsewhere to the bar where we could not even eat there. I get that it was a busy night but its ridiculous that we were basically kicked out of the restaurant! Completely unhappy here and will not recommend anyone goes there.
Interesting concept with sharing. A little disappointed to only receive 3 scallops for $22! A bit of a rip off, but over all good food creative dishes excellent service I know O my little me and
