We had the most fabulous experience! Our server was Kathleen and she could not have been more warm and genuine; we loved her!! We were there to celebrate my Mom's birthday, so we had a table with ages ranging from 14 to 80! The menu had a great variety for brunch and everything was simply delicious. 5 stars out of 5 stars
I went here for drinks on the 4th of July with friends. All the cocktails and beer were $5 until 7:00. The spicy watermelon margarita was my favorite! The view and rooftop patio was awesome! We did not get food, but the staff was very nice. Dog friendly as well which is always a plus.
First time there was for brunch. Food was great, our server was very attentive and knowledgable. Really enjoyed brunch and will be back to try dinner.
Great decor! Excellent service and tasty food!
The food was really good. Much more upscale that I had expected and at a great price point. Ambiance is spot on.
Went here for brunch and it was great! The food and drinks were very good- the waffle and the brunch fondue were to die for. The ambiance is great as well. I look forward to coming back here for dinner!
The Lobster Roll was amazing!!
The staff courtesy and attentive!
The venue has great ambience.
Must try the Oyster Rockefellas and the Lobster Roll.
It was great! The atmosphere is something unique for Deep Ellum and the food is outstanding!!! The staff is great and super friendly. Highly recommend if you are looking for something new to try.
Host and bar tender were fantastic. Our server seemed a bit rusty/out of it but wasn’t awful. Experience was great, loved the atmosphere and location. Easy parking close by.
Excellent food! We were visiting and had great service and excellent food! Loved the pork chops! Pasta was handmade and delicious as well!
Tried it for brunch and planned a get together with 10 friends on a Saturday evening. Brunch was good but a bit too loud. Dinner the service was slow even at 7 pm when it was not busy. Music is overly loud so do not expect to enjoy a convo and the food was underwhelming. Not one person enjoyed their time or food unless you ordered the burger.
Mother's Day brunch was perfect!!! The food was fantastic, the mimosa bar was yummy and the service was friendly. Highly recommend!!!
What an amazing brunch! I care with friends for Mothers Day. Food and service were top notch. Highly recommend!
Not fitting of the area. Food was marginal and the managers attitude was pretentious. Apparently she thought Harlowe MXM was so special, that she’d chase away local talent ...which actually gave much need ambiance to the outside patio. Not even half full on a beautiful Friday night, should have taken the clue. I won’t recommend. Could be so much better if management would let go of apparent corporate attitude of superiority.
The food was amazing...from appetizer to small plates to entrees and dessert. But even better was the wonderful service. Will definitely be going back!
Wait staff was exceptional. The food and wine was good.
Great rooftop bar and happy hour prices on a Friday night
Ambiance and service were great! The drinks were watered down and the food was bland. Not a place I will ever “crave” to return to.
We stopped in for dinner and drinks. We were a little late getting there but 2 of the party had showed up and order drinks while we were trying to find parking. Drinks were not bad but for the price they were average and waiter couldn't say if they could make them or not. Also brought the wrong drink and at one point we had to raise our voice to get his attention to get him to wait on us. Other times he would forget things, like with oysters he didn't bring any hot sauce or crackers but also didn't even ask if we would like any. We even had to catch other waiters to ask them for things. Food was good but for me value comes out of the service along with food quality and in this case I believe they are overpriced due to poor service. 1st time to be there so can't say if it is like this always or if we just had a bad experience. I wouldn't say that I would go back but it won't be on the top of my list of places to make a reservation at.
Met here for dinner and drinks before a gallery opening!
Loudest restaurant I have ever been. We ended up leaving it was so loud we could not even talk. Pretty interior, but not I remembered my experience from several months ago
Too loud and average food.
Great food and roof-top bar - also cocktails at MXM
The food was good! Our server was not. She seemed frantic and out of sorts. There weren’t many people in the building yet, bc we came for early brunch. I asked her what kind of tortilla was on the veggie tacos and you would have thought I asked her in Greek. She said cilantro. I asked if the base was flour or corn and she just shrugged. I explained that I have true Celiac and was asking for my health. She kind of shrugged again and said, “I guess I could ask”. Wow....
So needless to say I ordered something else and took medication anyway just Incase
We had ordered the hand made noodles in a carbonara sauce and although I love bacon I think the dish was just too salty. I order the lobster roll!!! it was fantastic. Our server was great. I just recommend for the oyster they have tobasco and an option to do saltine crackers. other than that we had a great time.
Great service and the staff is so friendly
Tony, our server, was phenomenal.
This is a great spot in Deep Ellum! Food was great (burger and side salad) and cocktails from the bar were spot on. Our server Ciara was well informed and fun. The rooftop patio is a must.
Excellent food and great service
Terrible service. We sat on the roof and our waitress never came by to check on us, we had to ask several other staff to help us or to find her. Took forever to bring water and drinks, never refilled our glasses with water. We had to fill our own water from the jug at the waitress station. Food was alright. Probably a better place to go for cocktails at night/just for the bar, rather than for a meal. Maybe the service was better inside the restaurant compared to on the patio?
We went on St. Patrick's Day, so I think it was a bit noisier that day due to that. Overall the food was good and the service was pretty good. I had the octopus as an appetizer and the lobster roll with fries for a meal. (I'm pescatarian) My friends had the churros, the pot pie, and ribs for appetizers and burgers and one of the daily specials. Overall, everyone enjoyed what they got. Nothing really stood out, but I would say Harlowe is worth visiting. I'll be back to try it again.
Awesome awesome awesome. The food, the drinks, the staff, the atmosphere, the prices! Just awesome!!
This restaurant is very nice. We had brunch on Sunday and the food and coffee were great. If you want to have a conversation, it may get a little loud in there but some people like that so, this is just FYI. We had to ask the waiter if they could lower the music a bit because they were playing songs which got very loud and had us yelling across the table of 4.
Thought the place looked up-scale & made Open Table reservation. When entering there was nobody around for seating so we wandered back & asked the staff & they responded, found the receptionist, we indicated our name & that we had a reservation, were seated quickly. We've now been told that we did not show up for Open Table & are having to work with them to verify our visit. 1) We ordered a bottle of champagne and indicated we liked it very cold. The initial pour was only very slightly cool and the server put the big bottle in a regular wine holder with a few ice cubes on the bottom. We kept asking that it be properly cooled in a champagne holder with ice/water and helped the server figure out how to do that and that was too much effort. Champagne should be very cold to begin with prior to any pour and the staff needs to be trained how to properly ensure it remains very cold. Or don't sell it! 2) We ordered 1 dozen oysters, a brave thing to do in land-locked beef country, but they were OK. The red sauce was overly sweet, and the horseradish had very very little kick to it. We had to ask for more. A third oily concoction was poorly constructed. 3) The blackened whole fish was surely that - blackened to the point of burnt char that was not attractive looking. The bokchoy was so charred that it was not edible. The spiraled potatoes were cold and apparently not cooked and unedible. The fish itself on the inside was OK but that was about it for $40. Should have sent it back, but we did not want more food and just wanted out by then. 4) The final bill had $40 for one dozen oysters when we were clearly told $20/half-dozen and $30/dozen so that had to be fixed. 5) The small salad we got was so full of Dill it was obnoxious. We asked for another without dill and they brought it quickly. It was edible, but that was about it. Very small, very weird greens and veggie mix, nothing special.
Overall, one of the worst/most over-priced dining experiences we have had in years.
Staff is always on point and the food is consistently excellent!
The food was good and so were our drinks! I love the overall look of the place and the vibe. Really the only complaint was that the music was blasting , which can kind of be annoying if you are trying to talk and feel like you have to yell across the table. We were surrounded by large parties though too so maybe that didn't help with the noise level. Overall I'd probably dine here again
Cool place but food leaves a lot to be desired. Great drinks.
Tried this restaurant out based on the other reviews. Overall great location and food was pretty good. Training some new waiters so was a little impacted by the knowledge of the wait staff not knowing the menu or the item. I am sure this is a great spot and atmosphere seem to be rather neat and outside area looks to be rather exciting. Going to a big meal then no, going to a place to have some drinks and have something to eat then this is a great spot and decent menu for that.
We sat on the patio for 40 minutes and still didn’t have drinks so we left. Someone waited on us after 25 minutes after we ask d for a server. Our hostess was awesome, but that was the highlight of our visit here. I would probably only come back for drinks on the rooftop patio. Maybe.
Great atmosphere and music. Food was very bland
