About

The vibrant cuisine at Harissa Restaurant reflects the heritage of chef-owner Alain Cohen, in his authentic centuries-old Tunisian dishes–crafted with techniques he learned working in his family’s Paris restaurant, and seasoned with an LA twist of innovation.

The result? Some of the best – and among the most unique – cuisine available in Los Angeles. Chef Cohen spices up his international kosher cuisine with North African ingredients, including the historic and beloved house made harissa—Tunisia’s signature spicy condiment sauce. Along with a menu that includes traditional French, sumptuous Moroccan and American classics, the restaurant features authentic Tunisian dishes unavailable anywhere else.

I celebrated my birthday here and it was the perfect choice. Evettte our server was absolutely lovely. So helpful especially as this was our first time. The food was outstanding. Strongly recommend the cauliflower with tahini. Everything else was delicious as well. This has been added to my list of local favorites.

The food is always extremely well prepared. Even though this is the place for meat eaters, there are many things on the menu for vegetarians to enjoy greatly.

Loved every delicious bite of the food here. 6 of us and we ordered a wide variety. Everyone planned to go back - raving about the food. The cake shop next door is part of the restaurant and fabulous GOTKOSHER. the best challah ever - try the pretzel challah or the apples and raisins or even the olive is superb. the best pastries too.

Terrific restaurant. Unique, well executed menu. You get the sense that you would be served the food at the owner/chef's home. Always worth it.
